I don't hit the ground; I'm floating. Sam is staring down at me. Concentrating hard, I lower myself slowly to the ground, hitting it with a small thump. Luckily no one is on this side of the building. I don't hesitate to throw myself back up the stairs to the roof. They could hate me, they could not trust me, but I'm going to do my best to help.
I don't have the option; I crash into Mr. Lancer.
"Not that way, that's where the ghosts are. I think we can get out of the building this way." Mr. Lancer takes me out of the building. "Why don't you head home? Classes will be canceled."
I shake my head. "I have to wait to make sure Tucker got out safe."
"You remind me of someone." His eyes gloss over for a moment. He then walks away to some of the other panicking students.
Suddenly, cheering breaks out. I know that Danny beat Skulker. I nervously shift as I wait for them. I see them sneak out and run up to them.
I don't say anything, just wait for ether Sam or Danny say something.
"It would explain why my ghost sense has been off," Danny says.
"We can't trust her. She's probably working with Vlad." Sam says accusatorily.
I go to defend myself, but Tucker speaks first. "She doesn't have any control."
"You knew?" Sam's face burns with rage.
"It's hard to hide it when she goes invisible sometimes when we kiss."
I gently push Tucker. "Do you have to use the most embarrassing part? There are other things you could have said, like falling from my window." He laughs. I turn to Danny and Sam. "I don't know what's going on with me. I've grown up with these unexplainable goings on. Like when I'm scared I turn invisible, and when I get super angry, my hands glow. I know I should have told you, but it's hard to explain when I don't even know myself."
"We can't trust you. Don't come near us again. And Tucker you'll have to pick a side." Sam angerly storms off.
Danny shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know what to think. But it is best to let her cool off."
Danny follows Sam. Tucker takes my hand. "This would have happened even if you told them right away. Let me walk you home."
"I'd like that."
