Chapter 179
On Monday night Jessie and Cordelia went on a date at the Bronze. As they walked home a guy seemed to be following them. Jessie put his arm around Cordy and they walked faster. Then another man stepped in front of them. Others came, soon they all displayed their vampire faces. Jessie and Cordelia tried to run away, but that failed. Seeing little other option Jessie tried fighting these vampires while telling Cordy to run and find Buffy. The vampires hurt Jessie, but they neither killed nor even drank from him. The group's leader, Absolom, looked at Jessie. He had fought well, for a human. And despite his fear Jessie said he would never betray Buffy. Absolom respected hus bravery, he would make a valuable addition to the Brethen of Aurelius, after he was turned into a vampire.
