Chapter 180
When Buffy got the call she was training with Giles. She almost didn't hear her cellphone with Oz and Veruca doing, Buffy wasn't sure she wanted to know what. Buffy didn't talk with Cordy much, but feared if she was calling it must be serious. Indeed, Jessie had been taken by vampire, they were dragging him into a local graveyard. Buffy told Cordelia to hide while Buffy went to save him. Giles heard enough of the conversation to toss Buffy his car key as she ran faster than him and just drove to where Cordelia said they were. Buffy used all of her speed and strength, she just hoped it was enough. But she feared that with the distance she was already too late to save her friend.
