It was the next morning in the Leaf.
In the Namikaze compound…
Naruto, Karin, Misato, Rei, Shinji and Kimimaro were having breakfast.
Shinji had just finished telling the story of how he kicked Itachi's butt last night with all the details.
Naruto put his hand on his chin. "I hope that when he said that someone else had the same eyes as me that it was a lie. He told it to get away."
Misato looked at him. "After seeing what you can do, dude, I second that."
Kimimaro stood up and said, "Karin, Rei and Misato. Come along. We have a meeting with Team 8 to keep."
He then left the room as Rei and Karin followed and Misato said, "Yes, sensei."
Misato gave Shinji a kiss on the cheek before she left.
Meanwhile, in Tokyo-3…
Itachi had used his shinobi skills to sneak into NERV. By looking at some old newspapers he learned that the man in charge of this place was the father of Shinji, the brat who kicked his ass.
Itachi barged into Gendo's office grabbed the man by the neck and pinned him to the wall. "Gendo. Just the man I'm looking for. I would like to have a word with you about that fucking brat of yours."
Itachi's eye's morphed into the Sharingan. "He kicked my fucking ass last night."
Later on in a field in the Leaf…
Kimimaro and Kurenai were under a tree chatting on their break while their students were training amongst themselves. They also took note of how close Sai and Rei seemed to be getting. Both were former-emotionless tools so it made sense that they could connect.
Kurenai looked over Kimimaro." So, how's Hinata doing?"
Kimimaro looked at her. "From what I've seen, she's no longer fainting every hour and can now take down someone who is ranked higher then herself."
Kurenai smiled. "I guess Naruto is bringing her out of her shell, something I couldn't do. Lady Hokage was right. I was too motherly to her to be a good teacher."
Kimimaro spoke. "Anyway, back to the topic at hand. My student, Misato, shows signs of being a genjutsu type and I don't know any genjutsu to teach her."
Kurenai smirked. "So, Mr Skellington wants my help?"
Kimimaro looked away and said, "Yes."
That night…
Itachi was using a genjutsu to report to the Akatsuki about what he had found out with Gendo beside him.
Itachi stated, "So, you see, Gendo wants the same thing as us: the power of a god. We are going about it in two different ways."
Pain looked at Gendo's fake image. "Then, we and this Seele will work together to bring in this Shinji boy. Then, after that, our alliance is over, Gendo. Understand?"
Gendo simply said, "Yes, sir."
