I am sooooo sorry! I know it's such a belated update and this chapter isn't as long as they usually are. Also I started another fanfic (Harry Potter 2nd gen) because I had slight writer's block for this one. Please don't kill me. So anyways please keep reading and reviewing because it makes my day! Enjoy!

"So, do you go to DSTCA?" I asked.

"Yeah," Imogen said. "I was an Erudite but I got transferred to Amity. I do—did ballet."

"I was Abnegation but now I'm in Dauntless," I said. "I guess the idea of it is kind of cool, but I don't love performing for a lot of people."

"Yeah, I understand that," she nodded. "My boyfriend, Sam, isn't happy about switching factions. Especially since we didn't get the same one."

"That's actually kind of sweet."

"Yeah, I really love him. In a way, he and his family kind of saved me and my little brother's lives."

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"It's a long story," she answered hesitantly.

"You don't have to tell me if you want to," I said.

"Maybe not yet," she said. "But before you start guessing, when I say they saved our lives, I don't mean that we were suicidal or did drugs. It's completely different."

"Okay," I said. "I won't guess anything."

"Good," Imogen said. "I have to go feed this to Ollie now."

She stood up, holding a fruit tart in a napkin.

"Who's Ollie?"

"She's my pet hawk," she said and laughed at my startled look.

"But DSTCA doesn't allow pets in the dorms," I said.

"I don't live in a dorm. I live off campus with Sam. We rent an apartment," she explained.

I nodded in semi-understanding, "Alright then. Bye, Imogen."

"See you, Tris," she began walking away but turned around. "And you can call me Imo instead of Imogen."

Christina, Will, Al, and I sat on the grassy ground. It was windy, but what else can you expect in Chicago? Al and I weren't really looking at each other or talking much. But I don't think Christina or Will noticed. They kept sneaking little smiles and looks to one another.

After a while of silence and about the fortieth time they glanced at each other with that secret smile, I gasped in realization.

"Oh!" I said. "I see, now."

"What?" Will asked. His forehead wrinkled in confusion.

"You and Christina," I said simply. That's all I needed to say. Immediately, both Christina and Will were blushing and stumbling over their words.

"I'm not—we don't—"

"What are you—I don't—"

"We aren't!"

"Not true—I"

"What are you implying?!"

"That's so—"

"Chill out, guys!" I stopped them mid-babble. "I don't care. Besides, I never said you were together. For all you know, I could've been talking about you two devising a plan to build robotic puppies that run on carrot juice and poop spiders."

Immediately they shut up.

"So it's true," I said, mostly to myself.

"What makes you think that?" Will challenged. "Like you said, we could have been building a robot puppy that poops spiders and just trying to keep it secret."

"Well, the first time I semi-mentioned it, you guys got all defensive, then when I said I wasn't pointing out you guys being together, you clammed up. So defensiveness then no words equals hiding a relationship."

"That's a really weird equation," Al said. Christina nodded in agreement then grinned.

"But it's true," she said excitedly.

For the rest of the afternoon they sat close together with Will's arm draped around Christina's shoulders.

Friday morning, I woke up to a loud, screeching noise. At first I thought it was a pterodactyl but then I found out that it was a human girl.

"The results are up!" a crazy blonde girl screamed, running around the Dauntless dorm building.

Her curls bounced as she stopped at our door.

"Come on!" she shouted. "They posted the roles!"

"Who are you?" Kat asked.

"I'm Gina Suker. Now come on!" she said and ran to the next room to announce the news.

Kat and I glanced at each other and shrugged. I stood up and took off my fluffy slippers, shoving my feet into some old sneakers. Kat quickly threw on a sweatshirt and opened the door, ready to see how our auditions really went.

Slowly, we made our way to Dauntless and saw everyone gathered at the entrance.

As we pushed our way inside, I heard snippets of conversations.

"I got such a bad role! Mr. Jenkins the chemistry teacher!"

"Seriously who is she? I've never heard of her and she got the lead!"

"God, I wish I was the lead. I could get to kiss him!"

"What is this play even about?"

Finally, Kat and I got to the front. There were still a few people obstructing my view.

"Oh, thank goodness!" Kat cried when she saw the list of roles.

"What?" I said, not having seen it yet.

"I'm not on the list," she sighed in relief.

I rolled my eyes and looked at said list as the person in front of me moved away sadly.

The name at the top of the list wasn't what made me scream. It was my name: Tris Prior. But it didn't make me scream. No, the name that made me scream was the name below it; the male lead. The male lead that I would have to kiss.

It read: Peter Hayes.

Sorry it was a little short but I've been busy and haven't had much time to write lately. You know the drill: review/favorite/follow. Review a nice comment, criticism, or a character request! Also read my new story: It's Kind Of A Long Story and tell me what you think!
