In the base of the Akatsuki.

All members stood.

Pain looked out at everyone and to the statue which now only had one eye closed. "I would like to thank the Zombie Duo for bringing in the Three Tails. Take a bow, boys."

Hidan and Kakuzu then took a bow in pride.

Pain then looked at the group through his Deva Path's eyes. "Now, to the tricky part. The Nine Tails is in two parts. In order to complete our plans, we must collect equal amounts of chakra from both of its parts. Now, then. The Yin half holds the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan. Since your former partner had the Mangekyō, I think that you're the most qualified to handle him, Kisame."

Kisame jumped for joy. "Yes. I can kill that little fucker and avenge my butt buddy Itachi's death."

All eyes fell on him and widened at the butt buddy part. Pain then let out an "Eewww... But, seeing as the Yang half has the same eyes as me, I am the only one who can battle him."

Pain saw Konan about to speak, but Pain stopped her. "Only the Rinnegan can defeat the Rinnegan, Konan. You know this. There is no choice. Now, they are back in the Leaf so, Kisame, meet me and my five other bodies outside the village gate."

Pain then left leaving a lot of the members wondering about what he meant by other bodies.

Tobi then spoke up as Kisame left. "Who was on top? Itachi or Kisame?"

Everyone then beat the crap out of Tobi because they did not want to think about that.

Meanwhile in the Leaf...

Shinji was walking through the village arm in arm with Misato. His headband covered his Eternal and he was smiling. He was loved, had true friends, was viewed as a hero and, since he got the Eternal, he had gained some control over evil fuzz butt. Thinks were looking good for him.

Then, he heard screaming and people running past him and Misato. Then, there stood Kisame with a fully transformed and awakened Samehada.

Shinji quickly pushed Misato behind him as he summoned out his shadow clones, but he put pure Yin Release chakra into these clones.

The clone charged at the shark man as he yelled out, "This is for my butt buddy, Itachi." With a quick swing, all of the clones who looked ready to barf were gone and their chakra absorbed. "You can't win. I absorb Chakra."

Shinji forced the barf in the back of his mouth back down. "You just absorbed pure Yin Release chakra. Pure death."

It took them a second, but both swordsman and living blade waved bye bye before screaming as they rotted to dust.

Misato then looked at Shinji and asked, "Who do you think was on top? Him or Itachi?"

Shinji then bent over and threw up because he pictured it both ways. He may be a clever fox that outsmarted the shark, but he was still human after all.

Shinji ripped off a piece of his right sleeve and used it to wipe his mouth off before asking, "Why would you ask that, Misato?"

Misato only said, "I like scary stories."

Shinji sighed before he offered his arm to her. "Well, I believe we have a date to get back to?" Misato smiled and grabbed onto his arm.

The two them left, arm in arm.

Meanwhile, with NaruHina.

The two were having a nice time just enjoying the peace of the forests together until they heard foot steps and turned to see six Rinnegan users in Akatsuki robes.

Naruto, in a second, made a shadow clone that used Flying Thunder god to get away with Hinata before it dispelled, telling him that Hinata was safe at his estate.

Naruto then made five clones and all six Naruto's looked at the six before him. "I see you're using corpses as puppets for your power. Disgusting."

Pain's Path's didn't move, but both Naraka paths got ready.

Pain's Naraka path summoned the King of Hell and it grabbed Naruto's Naraka Path's tongue. At the same, time Naruto's did the same thing as he called out, "Naraka Path."

A second after Pain's Hell King appeared, Naruto's did and grabbed Pain's Naraka Path.

This showed that Pain had better control over the Rinnegan.

Pain's Parhs then asked, "Why do you fight?"

Naruto's Path's answered, "To keep those I love safe."

Pain's Hell King then let go of Naruto's Naraka Path's tongue and vanished.

Naruto's version then asked, "What is your name?" Before Pain's Paths could do anything, the real Naruto used Sexy jutsu which made Pain say, "What?"

Naruto's Hell King then said, "Your name is not 'What.' That's a lie." Naruto's Hell King then ate Pain's Naraka Path.

Pain's remaining five Path's then said. "Clever."

Naruto looked at Pain, Rinnegan eye to Rinnegan eye. "Since our Uzumaki pride is going to make us fight Path to Path to see who's the better Rinnegan user, let's get it in writing, shall we?"

Pain's five Path's then said, "Yes. May the best user's Paths win. My Human Path challenges yours."

Naruto nodded as all other Paths that were not the Human Paths backed away.

Both Human Paths charged.

Naruto's Human Paths made shadow clones, swarming the corpse.

The corpse puppet known as Pain's Human Path started dispelling them by removing their clone souls but, soon, the number of clones overtook the corpse and destroyed it with Wind Release: Rasengan.

The clones dispelled as their windapowered balls of pain cut, ripped and crushed Pain's corpse puppet to hell, leaving it a giant mass of blood and guts.

Naruto smirked. He was two for two. "Depending only on the Rinnegan is such a big mistake to make."

The four remaining Paths of Pain then said, "I never thought that I would have to battle another Rinnegan user."

Naruto shook his head. "Wrong. You knew about me for a while. If you had any brains in your real head, you would have learned better moves to use with your Paths. In this battle, you have better control. I'll give you that, but I have more power and more imagination. My Animal Path challenges your Animal Path."

The two Animal Paths stepped up.

Pain's summoned his giant drill-beaked bird while Naruto's summoned his half of Kurama.

The bird flew up into the air then dove into a spinning dive bomb. Kurama just used the Tailed Bleast Ball Blaster to blast it out of existence.

While Kurama was looking up to fire his Ball Blaster, Pain summoned a giant multi-headed dog which rushed Kurama, sending the giant fox to the ground.

With the dog head that Kurama had pinned, the fox had to use all nine of its tails and its four paws to keep the heads away. Kurama opened its mouth and breathed foxfire upon the monster mutt. The dog yowled in pain as Kurama threw it off of himself and watched the dog burn to death.

Next up was some kind of giant chameleon whose snake-like tongue rapped around Kurama's body, then his mouth, keeping the demon's mouth shut so that it couldn't breath fire or use a Tailed Beast Ball Blaster.

Pain's Animal Path then summoned what looked like a giant panda that was dressed like a sumo wrestler. Many things were wrong with this picture, but let's not get into that.

The panda started slapping Kurama with its clawed hand over and over, covering the kitsune in bruises and dirtying its fur.

Kurama wiggled his right claw out of his tongue's trap and used them to cut off the chameleon's tongue off.

The giant lizard screamed in pain as it pulled what was left of its tongue into its mouth.

The panda stood back in shock as the remains of the tongue that held the Nine-Tail's Yang half at bay fell to the ground. A second later, Kurama grabbed the panda and slammed him in to the chameleon, using the panda to smash the lizard into goo.

Kurama then roared as he brought his head down to the sumo panda's neck and bit out through it.

Kurama roared in victory, but the fox demon's celebration was cut short by a giant ox charging at him and head-butting him in the gut.

Yang Kurama was sent flying into a mountain, alerting the villagers to the battle taking place. Kurama then saw the ox charging at him again, so the fox used his tails to launch himself into the air, making the ox hit the mountain.

When Kurama came back down, he grabbed the ox by the horns and twisted its head until the disgusting sound of a neck snapping and ending a life was heard all over the place. The fox then panted and said, "OK. What's next?"

He then heard stomping and turned to see a giant rhino heading for him. Kurama just signed and fired off a small Tailed Beast Ball Blaster that flew into the rhino, into its skull, past its brain and into its guts.

The next second, the bomb exploded inside of the dead rhino, making it rain giant rhino guts and blood all over the Leaf.

Kurama was panting as he heard the sounds of a Summoning jutsu. Then, a giant Water Bullet hit Kurama on side of the head, knocking the Nine-Tailed beast to the ground.

Kurama then looked to see a giant crustacean snapping its claws at him.

Kurama growled as he dug under the ground.

Standing on top of a tree, the six Naruto's faced the four Pain's. "While you do have a lot of summons, one that can think is always best. After all, Kurama can figure things out while yours is dead in the water unless it sees its target."

The real Naruto then summoned his staff as and used it to point to the large crab that was just standing there.

A second later, the Nine-Tailed Fox popped out of the ground and wrapped around the crab's claws and head and ripped them off, making the giant shellfish fall dead.

Its remains were then thrown throughout the village by Kurama who dug himself out of the ground. Kurama then looked to Pain's Animal Path. "Got anything else?"

Pain's Animal Path then said, "Just this." He then summoned a giant centipede which was eaten a second later by Kurama. Once Kurama, ate the bug he ate the Animal Path.

Naruto then returned Kurama to the seal. "I'm three for three."

The three remaining Path's of Pain then said, "My Asura Path challenges yours."

Both Asura Paths stepped jumped at each other. Pain's opened it's head to reveal a cannon to use Asura's attack while Naruto's transformed his arm into what looked like a large robot cannon with orange plating around the barrel and back part.

Both Paths fired their versions of Asura Attack, but Pain's was overwhelmed by Naruto's blast, destroying Pain's Path.

Naruto smirked. "Four for four. My Preta Path challenges yours."

Meanwhile, in the Namikaze estate.

Toji, Kensuke, Asuka, Hikari, Shinji, Hinata, Kyū and Misato were in the estate having just watched the Animal Paths' battle.

Toji was stunned. "So, that was a nine tailed fox. That was awesome."

Kyū held her head held up in kitsune pride. After all, her father, Kurama, killed all the challengers.

Hinata was petting Kyū. "Too bad we can't see the rest of the Rinnegan war unfolding out in the forest."

Asuka was shaking and holding on to Kensuke tightly, making the otaku blush and become filled with terror.

Misato held on to Shinji. "I thought watching your giant monster fight was scary. That fox used the panda to smash that lizard into goo and it's the good half of the Nine-Tails."

Everyone other than Hinata, Misato and Shinji gasped and said, "WHAT!?"

Shinji gave an evil smirk with his Eternal uncovered as he said, "It's true. The evil half is locked away inside of me."

Everyone but Misato and Hinata screamed and jumped together.

Shinji recovered his Eternal and he started rolling around on the ground, laughing his ass off. "Relax, guys. I wouldn't hurt you. My eternal gives me some control over the evil asshole."

Now, back with the Rinnegan war. Naruto's Preta Path had won, overloading Pain's Path with chakra, making the corpse puppet explode. Thank goodness we didn't see it happening.

Naruto smirked as his five clone Path's vanished. "OK, now. It's come down to this. Deva to Deva."

Pain's last Path fired off a high-powered Shinra Tensei, but Naruto just used Flying Thunder god to appear behind the Deva Path and fired his own Shinra Tensei. Pain was blown away as Naruto smirked.

Naruto shouldered his staff. "I've placed Flying Thunder god seals on every part of the Leaf so that I can transport anywhere I choose, giving me an advantage when it comes to avoiding strikes here. Let's call it home field advantage."

The Deva Path tried to use Bansho Ten'in to pull Naruto to him, but, once more, the young ninja vanished through Flying Thunder god.

Naruto once more appeared behind Pain and removed one of his chakra rods. The corpse puppet then fell to the ground.

Naruto looked at the rod. "Looks like I got the one sending it chakra. I wonder..." He then stabbed the rod into his palm and, in a second, he could feel pains chakra and was able to track it back to were it was coming from.

Naruto quickly made a shadow clone.

The clone vanished with Flying Thunder god, but, instead of going to a spot a seal was placed on, it used the connection to Pain's chakra network to transport to the true Pain.

Just image Naruto's face when he saw that Pain was a broken man in a life support machine. This person, Nagato Uzumaki, his and Karin's clan brother, was unable to defend himself.

The clone just placed his hand on Nagato's panicked face and said, "It's over. Human Path, Absorption Soul Technique!" The next second, the older Rinnegan user's soul was ripped from his body.

Naruto saw the man's memories, his name, the death of his parents and to what drove him over the edge. He wanted the Ten-Tails to use it as a weapon to get peace so that no one else would have to see the murder of a loved one.

The clone removed the man's eyes so that no one else would take them and gain the Rinnegan.

The real Naruto, having seen all of this, placed his hand over his heart. "The old me would not have be able to understand you, Nagato. He had no loved ones. But, I have a cousin, a sister, an uncle, my grandmother, Shinji, my brother in all but blood and my Hinata-hime. If I ever saw any one them killed before my own eyes, I don't know what I would do."

The clone used his staffs power to use all Elemental Releases to fire off a stream of lava to burn a large hole into the ground. The clone then fired off a large Water Bullet to cool it off.

A second later, the Naruto clone pushed Nagato into the hole before using Earth Release to bury him.

The clone placed his staff on the ground, making a crystal tomb stone appear. Upon it was "Here lies Nagato Uzumaki, Rinnegan user, a man driven to make peace at all costs after he watched the murder of his parents. May he find peace now that he is with them once more."

The clone then transported back to the real Naruto and handed the original Nagato's eyes.

The clone dispelled as Naruto sealed the spare set of Rinnegan eyes in to the skin on his left side. That way, they would be safe should he ever need a spare eye.

Meanwhile, back at Nagato's grave, Konan was there. She took out a knife and drove it into her heart, falling dead upon the grave so they would be together again.

A world with out Nagato was one that Konan didn't want to see. After all, she was the Hinata to Nagato's Naruto.

Her body was then pulled under the ground and into the grave by some unknown force.

Upon the back of the crystal tomb stone the appeared the words, "Also, here lies Konan, a woman who could not live without the man she loved. A love so strong that she followed him in to the darkness of villainy and death. May these lovers finally be at peace."

Back with Naruto, he was burying the bodies of Nagato's Path's of Pain, using Nagato's memories to place their names upon their crystal-made tomb stones.

Why was he doing this? Simple. He was doing this to put to rest all traces of the evil a man who was driven to madness had done so that he may have peace and honor in the afterlife.

This night ended the tale of Nagato Uzumaki aka. Pain, and the woman he loved, Konan. The two were finally at peace.

When last body was buried and its grave marked, the light of the early morning sun shone down upon him and the graves. Since their tomb stones were made from his staff's Crystal Release, they shone in the light of the sun, almost making it look like their souls were heading to heaven.

Naruto moved along out of the forest. Once he made it back to the village, the villagers, scared by the sight of Kurama in battle, tried to ask him what happened. Naruto didn't say anything. He was the only user of the Rinnegan in the world now.

Once he was home, he saw Hinata waiting for him. She didn't go to sleep. She looked so tired, but, upon the sight of him, she ran up to him and embraced him.

Naruto returned the embrace and held her tight. All of his life, he wanted family and someone who loved him. He finally had all of those things, so, just like those he put to rest, Naruto finally felt at peace.
