Sumitra resisted the urge to squander money that her family didn't have. That was one reason her parents sent her. Sumitra's siblings would but toys, their parents might go to the games of chance. As she bought the food Sumitra sensed danger, an instinct that had saved her thus far. When the men in black robes attacked Sumitra she was ready. She had to fight all five of them at once. Noone came to help. The civilians, and evidently the police, were either incapacitated or too frightened. Sumitra understood that fear, but as she had little choice she fought back. Why these guys were trying to kill her Sumitra did not know. The fight was brutal, Sumitra was wounded, but when it was over she was the one still standing. At first she was relieved, then a thought occurred to her, was her family in danger?
