Shinji was leaving Willie later than everyone else. Ritsuko had said that she couldn't figure out how his old Sharingan eye worked, so Shinji went back to get it.
Shinji left Willie as he sealed his old eye into the skin on his right side. That way, it would be there if he needed it.
Shinji whispered on his way back to his and Misato's old apartment-turned-temporary living place. But, he stopped dead in his tracks.
He looked around at the group of people moving away from him. He couldn't blame them, after all. While he did have some control of his berserk button, it was still there.
He uncovered his right eye, making everyone run away, screaming. Shinji let out a sigh. People ran in fear of him. That would bring someone down. Part of him wanted to tell himself that it didn't happen back in the Leaf, but it did. Just not as much.
But, back to why he uncovered his eye. He felt someone watching him. He looked around and said, "Come out, come out, whereever you are." He then unsealed his sword from his hand and held it tightly while he got his fingers in the Shadow Clone hand sign.
He was ready for action. He then heard clapping and turned to see who else but the masked man.
The masked man clapped. "You've done well for a shinobi who started learning late and for someone who didn't know what chakra or jutsu was. You beat two other Sharingan users. Join me, boy. Give me some of that Nine-Tailed chakra that you've got and we can rule both the world of science and the world of shinobi."
Shinji growled as his left eye turned into the normal Mangekyō Sharingan. His nails shifted to claws and his teeth became fang-like as his voice filled with venom. "Why would I join a monster like you? Naruto knows your plan and told us. You are trying to make a monster that will kill all humans. You're nothing but another Gendo!"
The masked man laughed. "Well, I will say that Naruto has changed a lot. I was planning on him being a helpless dumbass. I went as far as to place mental suppresser seals on him as a baby, but those shadow clones of his parents undid them. Minato was always one step ahead, even in death."
Shinji took a keep breath to calm himself, making his nails and teeth return to normal. He need to stay calm right now. This unknown Sharingan user could use Wood Release. He needed to stay focused.
Shinji quickly made a small army of shadow clones. The clones charged the masked man, covering their blades with black fire.
The real Shinji watched as the sword swings went through him like he was a ghost, and after the blades passed through his body, he fired a wooden spike from his right hand, killing the clones.
For a second, Shinji was thinking that he really was Madara who had returned as a ghost. But, then he saw it. When something passed through him, his Sharingan eye turned into a Mangekyō and glowed.
The real Shinji smirked and snapped his fingers as he watched the masked man finish off the last of his clones. "I've got it. You're using a weaker form of Izanagi to convert your body into an illusion to make it look like you're a ghost, making people believe that you truly are Madara's ghost."
The masked man clapped again. "Congratulations, boy. You are the first to figure that out, but let's see how that helps you." The masked man then slammed his hands on to the ground. "Wood Release: Flowering Tree jutsu."
A strange, giant tree that was bigger than the buildings around it, covered in giant flowers then grew in the middle of Tokyo-3.
The masked man's body was then covered by a Three-Tailed chakra shroud. "I've injected chakra from all eight of the other Tailed Beasts into myself, so I have enough chakra for this."
A ball of chakra formed in his hand and he placed it in to the tree and said, "Tailed Beast Ball Blaster."
The tree then started firing Tailed Beast Balls down on Shinji. He quickly formed his Susanoo and called out the Yata Mirror, blocking the blasts, but he couldn't keep it up for ever.
The masked man clapped again. "I see you got the Yata Mirror from Itachi. Nice, but my tree here uses the last jutsu that it was hit with and uses Senjutsu to draw chakra from the air, so it will never run out of power while your chakra will run out. You lose, boy."
The voice of another fox then yelled out, "Lava Release: Eruption!"
A blast of lava then fired from under the tree, burning it to the ground before a large blast of water turned the lava into stone, stopping it from damaging the city.
The masked man and Shinji then turned to see Naruto standing on top of the building, his arms crossed and holding his staff tight. His cloak flapped in the wind, making him look like the hero he truly was
He then jumped down next to Shinji as he said, "I hope you don't mind me crashing. After all, when I saw this fight on the news, I knew I had to come and stop my parents' murderer. I would have been here sooner, but I had to restrain my sister to keep her from, getting in this fight or killing some one in her berserker rage."
As the tower of lava-turned-to-stone shattered into dust, Shinji dropped his Susanoo and stood back to back with Naruto.
A genjutsu image of a yin-yang simple then appeared behind them as they said, "Now, you will face the foxes of light and darkness!"
The masked man had a sweat drop. "Really? What are you, Super Sentai?"
Shinji then looked to Naruto. "He makes a point. That was a little stupid."
Naruto then nodded in agreement. "Agreed. Let's never do that again."
The masked man then slammed his hands on the ground. "Wood Release: Underground Roots."
Large plant roots then popped out of the ground to try to crush, grab and/or smash our two young heroes.
Naruto spun his glowing staff around as icy wind fired from it, freezing the roots while Shinji used his Kusanagi, now covered in blazing black fire, to slash the roots down.
Shinji then said," Buddy, we can do this all day, but that's the problem."
Naruto then looked at him as he said, "Yes. This is only draining us of chakra. While I can use my Preta Path's power to slowly absorb chakra from the air, I will run out."
Shinji was still slashing the roots. "Yes, and I don't' have that ability to absorb chakra, so I'll run out sooner, and this guy made a Sharingan move where he transforms himself into an illusion, so we can't touch him."
Naruto, who was still freezing the roots and watching them shatter, turned to see that the masked man was gone. He then heard something behind him and turned to see the masked man popping out of the roots where he grabbed him.
Naruto flipped him off of him, watching the masked man hit the ground, making the man in the mask let out a groan of pain.
The man then used a jutsu to fuse into another root as Naruto smirked. "If we can't touch him, then it's simple. We wait for him to touch us."
Shinji then said, "Please rephrase that!"
Meanwhile, in Misato's apartment...
Misato, a now calm and freed Karin, Rei, Rei II and Hinata were in cheerleader outfits, watching the battle on TV and cheering for Naruto and Shinji. After all, the auto camera's in the city zoomed in on this.
Sai was watching the two Rei's in cheerleader outfits. "This is a good day."
Yamato looked over to Kimimaro. "Come on. Those two need our help."
Kimimaro nodded along as they left.
Back with the battle...
Shinji and Naruto had cleared the all the roots and were left panting.
The masked man laughed. "So, you two are the only hope to stop me. I could bust a gut if I don't die laughing first. You will soon be unable to fight. Then, I will absorb your chakra in to my own body which will cause my body to mutate into the Ten Tails. Then, I'll place what's left of your Tailed Beast's chakra into the demonic statue, bringing another Ten Tails into the world, which I'll seal into myself, basically making me a Twenty Tails."
Shinji panted out, "You're mad!"
Naruto panted as he held his staff and clapped his hands together. "Well, it's now or never. Here's something that I've been working on. Tailed Beast Control mode."
Naruto's skin, hair and headband then glowed gold as his coat also turned golden and now looked to be made out of energy. The boot-like sandals he had on his feet also morphed to appear to be made out of golden energy.
The change was finished when his hair moved to make him look like he had horns, making him look like the original sage.
Shinji just looked on, dumbstruck, "Damn! You just pulled becoming golden energy being out of your ass, dude!"
The masked man's one eye widened, "Damn!" He then summoned more roots, but Naruto charged, slashing them to pieces using only his right hand while the left held his staff tightly.
Naruto appeared on the masked man in a second, so he turned into an illusion, but when Naruto got to him, he had a black Rasengan in his hand, "Truth-Seeking Ball"
Despite being an illusion, the ball hit the masked man, making him return to solid form and sending him flying into a stone wall.
The masked man got up, his body in pain as Naruto returned to normal as he panted. "The Truth-Seeking Ball. The power of the sage. An attack that negates all jutsu to close to it. An unblockable strike. You truly are the sage's second coming, boy. Too bad you couldn't keep it up for long."
The masked man walked over to Naruto like he wasn't hurt. This filled both Shinji and Naruto with fear. That hit should have broken every bone in his body.
The masked man punched Naruto back over to Shinji as he said, "I have Wood Release because I was repaired with Zetsu cells. Zetsu are mass-produced near-mindless soldiers. Half man, half plant made from the blond's own great great grandfather, the first Hokage's DNA."
He then ripped the sleeve off his left arm to show that it was pale white and plant-like. "half my body was destroyed, so I went under an radical operation where I was fused with a Zetsu. I worked I was healed. My arm and leg regrew and I gained Wood Release and ultra-high speed regeneration, putting the healing powers of an Uzumaki and a Jinchūriki to shame. Even if you can hurt me, if you don't destroy all of me at once, I'll just regenerate and get back up for more."
Shinji helped Naruto up as he said, "Any ideas on how to take down a plant man's body?"
Naruto panted out, "Well, we know he feels pain, so maybe we could destroy the plant part of his body."
The masked man was about to charge at the boys when a wall of roots appeared before them, protecting them.
They then turned to see Yamato and a now-shirtless Kimimaro holding two bone swords.
Yamato spoke up. "Boys, fall back. Kimimaro and I will hold him off. Regroup."
Naruto and Shinji then fell back. As both saw a gardening store, they looked at each other before heading in.
Meanwhile, back at Misato's apartment...
Hinata passed out with a nose bleed from Naruto's golden energy form while everyone else there was dumbstruck. "A plant man!"
With the battle, the masked man made quick work of Kimimaro and Yamato. He was about to finish it when a bottle of something was burst over his head. He then screamed.
Naruto's shadow clones grabbed the two downed sensei and left with them as Shinji yelled, "How to you like Ultra Kill Weed Killer?!" Naruto and Shinji where now officially back on the scene of the battle.
The masked man screamed in pain as his right arm and left leg wilted like a plant and fell off making him fall to the ground.
He lost his healing power, his arm, his leg and his Wood Release, but he wasn't out.
Where his left arm and leg were, coral started to form until he had a new makeshift arm and leg made of coral. Shinji and Naruto backed away in fear.
The masked man pointed at them with his coral arm. "You forgot that I still have chakra from the other eight Tailed Beasts. " He then stomped his coral foot on the ground and said, "Coral Ripples Rising!" Spikes of coral then rose from the ground, heading to our two young heroes.
Shinji and Naruto them jumped out of the way as giant coral spikes popped out.
The masked man then grew bug-like wings, no doubt from the chakra of the Seven Tails' chakra, and flew at them as he morphed his coral hand into a mace.
Before he could hurt them, Naruto tried to use Almighty Push to push him away, but, sadly, he became an illusion again and punched Naruto in the gut with his coral mace, sending the Rinnegan user rocketing to the ground.
When Naruto hit the ground, a crater formed. Shinji landed and ran over to his friend. Naruto was alive, but hurt and in pain. The only reason he was alive was because of his half of Kurama healing him and his Uzumaki blood.
Shinji looked the masked man in the eye as he growled and understood what he had to do. He screamed at his half of the Nine Tails to give him its chakra - all of it - and put it under his control. He was trying to enter the Tailed Beast Chakra Control mode like Naruto did.
After all, the Truth-Seeking Ball was his only hope of removing this freak's Sharingan so he wouldn't be able to go ghost.
Shinji's body - well, half of it - was glowing silver with a purple outline. It wasn't complete, but it was enough. A mini Rasengan formed in his right hand. Half of it was pure black. He then charged at the masked man.
The masked man charged too as he watched the mini Rasengan flicker between a normal rasengan and the Truth-Seeking Ball. "Boy, your half is pure evil. There's no way that you can control it!"
The masked man tried to hit Shinji upside the head with his mace fist, but, sadly for him his coral arm, leg and wings vanished as Shinji yelled out. "Mini Truth-Seeking Ball!" The mini ball hit the masked man in the eye, destroying his Sharingan.
The masked man was sent flying as the right corner of his mask shattered, revealing spiral-shaped scars on his face.
Shinji panted, but then heard the masked man say, "Sand Eye."
The masked man then used his One Tail's chakra to make an eye out of sand and placed it in his now-empty eye socket. He could see again. His coral arm and leg returned as he stood up again, his Tailed Beast chakra healing him.
Shinji just panted out, "Why... won't…you …die?"
The masked man slowly walked to him as Naruto stood up. "Because I won't lose to children!"
Naruto walked over to Shinji. Both of our young heroes, weakened and almost out of chakra, put their hands together and worked together to form a Rasengan and charged at the masked man.
The mask man's coral arm shattered. He couldn't keep it up as he summoned a chakra orb to his left hand and charged at them.
Once they met, the joined Rasengan crushed the masked man's chakra orb and sent him to the ground where Naruto fell on top of him and absorbed the remaining chakra from the man's body.
Naruto then used all of this chakra to summon Uzumaki Chakra Chains which wrapped around him, stopping him from moving.
Naruto then removed his mask and said, "Now, let's see who you really are!" He was revealed to be Obito Uchiha, a student of Minato.
Naruto growled as he said, "I wish I still had enough chakra to finish you for what you've done to my father - your teacher's family!"
Obito's last words before passing out were, "I would have gotten away with it, too, if I wasn't for you middling kits and your damn foxes!"
Both the Yin and Yang halves of Kurama then thought, "Well, isn't this a Scooby-Dooby-Doo moment."
Soon, Karin came and took Naruto's place as the Uzumaki using their clan's chains that stop chakra to hold him down.
Karin then used Flying Thunder god to teleport back to the Leaf where Obito was brought to justice. His name was removed from the memorial stone by Kakashi himself while our heroes, Naruto and Shinji, passed out. After all, they were out of chakra and just won the most amazing battle in ninja history.
As for the Demonic Statue, with its summoner dead, it returned to the moon with the chakra samples of eight out of nine of the Tailed Beasts. The only person that could bring it and the power it holds from the moon back to Earth was Naruto and he would never summon it.
The threat of the Akatsuki was over and done with.
Now, all that was left was SEELE and their final move.
But, for now, Yin Kurama sat in his cage inside of the seal, looking at the chakra that Naruto had absorbed from Obito. "This chakra still has traces of the other eight Tailed Beasts' chakra. This is going to be interesting."
Omake 1 - Naruto is Defeated
Naruto was walking along the streets of the Leaf when Konohamaru and his friends, Udon and Moegi, walked up saying, "We will defeat you! Hinata Style: Sexy jutsu!"
The three children then used the Sexy jutsu to transform into three naked versions of Hinata, all of which winked at him and blew him a kiss.
Naruto then passed out with a nosebleed. He had lost to the move that he created.
While the three children returned to normal and danced around as they said, "We beat the Sage of the Six Paths' second coming."
They then stopped when they saw Hinata growling.
Hinata had what looked like blade-covered boxing gloves made of water. She cracked her knuckles. "Well, now. It's the perverts' time to face my not-so-gentle fists."
The three children then ran for their lives with a pissed off Hinata chasing after them.
Seeing Hinata pissed was so out of the ordinary that everyone in the village took it as a sign that the world was coming to an end.
Thankfully for the three kids, Naruto woke up and was able to calm Hinata down.
End Omake...
Well, everyone, with only one more chapter, this story is pretty much done.
Now, the middle of it will be the same kind of freakiness that we see in the End of Evangelion, but the ending will sort all of that out.
Ending note. Obito's jutsu that gives him a ghost like form was changed to a jutsu derived from Izanagi.
