Thanks to every review I've gotten. I especially love the ones that say they aren't big Petris fans but they like it now. It makes me feel accomplished to know I've converted a non-shipper. So read on!

Each room had two bunk beds for the use of four people. I was roomed with Christina, a brunette girl with red tips—"Rare Quest," she introduced herself—, and Bethany Ronthos, Chamilla's friend.

I claimed the bottom bunk once Christina immediately climbed the ladder of one of the bed and shouted, "DIBS!"

Bethany and Rare awkwardly decided their sleeping arrangements while I dropped my suitcase on my new mattress.

"You aren't rooming with Chamilla?" I said, spitting her name out like poison. In case anyone was wondering, I wasn't very happy with her giving me a bloody nose.

"Um no," she mumbled. "Cam's kinda mad at me right now."

"Why?" Christina asked, with a hint of disinterest in her voice.

"Because I didn't agree with her that making her boyfriend—ex-boyfriend now—choose over her and his career," she said. "It was out of line for her to overreact like that. So she isn't talking to me."

"Sucks," I said without meaning it in the slightest.

"Kind of. She's my best friend and all, but she really can be a bitch sometimes."

"How unfortunate," Christina said without a trace of sympathy in her voice.

"You guys don't like me," Bethany noticed. "Why is that?"

"I don't know," Christina pondered it for a moment. "You're kind of annoying And you're best friends with the spawn of Satan who used to suck face with my enemy. You also try way too hard for people to like you. One minute you're being a bitch with Chamilla, the next you're being all buddy-buddy with some Amity girls."

Christina was right, no matter how rude she was for saying this to her face. I remember how she was with Chamilla when we first met her. They both were acting superior with their noses in the air. Then when Chamilla was busy snooping around my room for her poster, she was all smiley, asking what our names were.

"All in all, you seem kind of two-faced," she concluded.

Bethany looked offended. Turns out she was judging by her tone when she said, "Excuse me?"

"Oh my god! All of you shut up!" Rare Quest shouted, her eyes showing pure hate. I noticed for the first time that they were two different colors. One was green and the other was blue.

"Sorry?" Christina said.

"Shut up," she growled. "You three are so freakin' annoying. Why did I have to be roomed with you dumb bimbos?"

We stared at her in shocked silence for a moment until Christina said, "Damn, who put bitch flakes in your cereal this morning?"

Rare just scoffed, rolled her eyes, and walked out of the room.

I shook my head. I got roomed with one of my best friends, a two-faced girl, and a psycho. Great. This was going to be fun.

"Temperamental much?" Bethany mumbled.

Christina rolled her eyes and stood up.

"Let's go check out the scene, Tris," she said.

I shrugged and stood up with her. I felt kind of bad for leaving Bethany behind but I knew she was manipulative. Anything we said bad about anyone, she would probably somehow figure out how to use against us. And I didn't feel like getting in a cat fight with anyone.

We passed a bunch of people in the hall. Uriah and Dawn grinned at us while holding hands. Peter nodded at me when we passed, causing Christina to look at me in confusion. We also saw Will who gave a mini solute and jogged to catch up with us.

"I'm roomed with a bunch of people I don't know," he said. "It's really awkward."

"Aww, poor Will," Christina cooed in mock sympathy. "Do you want to sleep in our room?"

Will rolled his eyes, "Remind me why I came again?"

"Because you don't want to be stuck back on campus, bored and alone," I said.

"Like Al," Christina added.

"Why did he stay behind anyways?" I asked.

"I don't know," Will said. "He hasn't been acting like himself lately."

"I wonder what's wrong," Christina said.

Will and I shrugged, both having no clue what was bothering him. We continued walking, Will and Christina talking about their assignments for Dauntless. While I had to memorize lines, they had to write papers on the lighting booth and how the systems worked or the policies of being in stage crew. It made me feel bad for them. They were stuck doing monotonous work while I was getting to perform.

The outdoors was beautiful. The lake was a shimmering expanse of dark water surrounded by trees of all kinds. There were two docks leading down to the water. One had a few boats attached to it by ropes. The other one had a few patio chairs and pool toys. Down a different path led to a sandy beach. We sat on the shore a few feet away from the water, watching the waves lap onto the sand.

"Christina! Will! Tris!"

We turned around. It was Uriah and Marlene. They were running down the path with excited smiles on their faces.

"Hey," Will greeted. "Where's Dawn?"

"She's telling everyone the schedule," Uriah said. "That's when we realized—"

"We forgot to tell you!" Marlene said. "Took a while to find you guys"

"There's a bonfire at seven tonight," Uriah said.

"It's down by the Diving Dock."

"You can't miss it. Just look for the flames!"

"We're making s'mores!"

"And bring a bathing suit!"

"Late night swimming is the best!"

"See ya tonight!"

"Got to go tell everyone else!"

They ran off to tell the next person they came across. My neck almost felt sore from looking back and forth between them.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"Five o'clock," Will answered after glancing at his watch. "We have a couple of hours to kill."

"Maybe you do," Christina said. "But haven't you ever heard that girls take extremely long to get ready?"

And with that, she pulled me back in the direction of the cabins.
