Chapter 201
Giles looked at his charts over the current evil in this town. The president-elect worshipped demons and was planning to put more soldiers in this town. For what purpose Giles didn't yet know. He'd already sent his own slayer, and she was a tentative ally at best. There was Spike, a very deadly vampire trying to revive his insane girlfriend. Giles' former employee was a vengeance demon capable of great brutality. Angel had a soul and may or may not be on their side. As bad as these things were none of them seemed to want the end of the world. The Master however wanted to end all life, and he'd drafted their friend Jesse. Jesse had undoubtedly told his new Master much. Jenny was trying to find the magick to restore Jesse's soul. If she couldn't find it, Buffy would have to slay her former friend. And they still didn't know if the renegade preacher Caleb was in league with the Master. Were they behind the worldwide murders of potential slayers? The good news was that not all the evil in this town was united. God help them if that happenned. Giles wondered, who would he be willing to ally with against the Master. With the fate of all life at stake, who wouldn't he ally with.
