Chapter 215
President-elect Wilkins reviewed the situation in Sloboda. Obama had been hesitant to commit U.S. soldiers to the area, fearing a prolonged quagmire. But Wilkins knew that an even greater danger was coming. Karadizc's genocidal plans could destroy the resources and manpower neccessary to stop the greater evil. His army of potential slayers hadn't been attacked by the men in dark robes. Clearly there was strength in numbers. But vampires and werewolves were coming together against Karadizc. A war between these groups would benefit only those who sought total destruction, like the Master. Wilkins was willing to go the diplomatic route, even make Karadizc an ally. But if he proved himself unwilling to cooperate, he would regret it. No matter what security the head of state in Sloboda had, Wilkins believed that his Faith would be able to eliminate him.
