Chapter 240
Xander helped Willow with the recording device. Mostly he did whatever Willow told him to do, and trusted that it worked. Buffy had planted the bug on Faith, but Willow still had to work on her end to keep Wilkins from finding it. As they worked these two old friends confided certain things. Willow's mother had escaped from prison. The police weren't exactly sure how Sheila had escaped, but she had. Willow was afraid, for her mother and herself. She didn't want her mother hurt, but she feared what Sheila might do. There was even an east coast chapter of MOO, planning some protest at Wilkins' innaguration on Sunday. Xander confided that he wasn't sure about Buffy. He still liked her, but it was her mission to kill Jessie. Xander wasn't sure he could be with Buffy, knowing this. However things might progress with their respective girlfriends Xander and Willow would always have a piece of each other's heart that noone else could touch.
