Chapter 107

"I am glad, brother. It would not have resulted in anything good." Gabriel said, trying to push away the tingling feeling inside his head.
"Hmmm. So, you are saying that I am doing the right thing?" Lucifer asked.
"Yes, without a doubt in my heart." Gabriel answered, as they turned their attention to what Father was saying.
Lucifer didn't feel the happiness that he would usually feel. The reverence was fading, but then, he could live with it. It was Father after all. Maybe he was wrong after all, in doubting Father. And even if creating the creatures was a mistake for him, it needn't be a mistake for people around him. If avoiding it all was all it took, then he would gladly shut his eyes.
"I am making the creatures immortal, my children, just like you." Father was completing his sentence, and Lucifer was shocked rigid to his place.
"They are my children... Just like you all are, my babies." Father said, and Gabriel could swear everything was going to near mayhem now. He gulped, and looked in Lucifer's direction. He had his fists clenched to both his sides, and was gritting his teeth so badly, that the nerves at his temples were agitated.
"Brother, please. Avoid it all. Please." Gabriel prayed.
