Chapter 251
On Friday January 25th Buffy was at home waiting for Dawn to return. Buffy had other things on her mind as well. Richard Wilkins had been president for five days. So far he hadn't done anything particularly evil, as far as Buffy could tell. Willow now knew about her mother's death, how she had died. Buffy feared this would follow her friend for the rest of his life. And Buffy knew there were only 132 days until graduation. For the moment with her mother working late Buffy was waiting for Dawn to come back from the Bronze. Finally she saw Dawn walking down the street with Kit and Carlos. From out of nowhere they attacked. Buffy thought they might be vampires and came to the trio's aid. Buffy fought them, though she soon realized they were human. Buffy told Dawn and her friends to run inside and call the police. As Buffy was drugged she fought to stay awake. But even with potential slayer strength it was a futile effort. Before she lost conscioussness Buffy recognized one of her attackers. It was Tom Warner.
