Chapter 114

[A/N: Such hiatus. Will do anything to get out of it. Please watch out, will try to upload more than one chapter tonight. Nia, this one is for you.]

Everyone could only gasp at what was happening. Did they just witness Father being wrong about something? How was that even possible?

Gabriel had tears in his eyes now. He knew what had happened. He knew it would happen all along. Yet, he couldn't change it, or stop it. All this, was bound to clutch his soul into despair.

His favorite brother had just been banished. And even though, Father had been shown that Lucifer was right all along, the banishment couldn't be taken back. He stared aghast, at Father, for him to perform some miracle. This was unbearable.

But Father just stood there, with no expression on his face whatsoever. The armor, the sword, everything had gone stone still. It was as if he had been cast in stone.

As if the only one with the power to move was his brother.

Gabriel saw, his brother's eyes filled with tears. The tears did not flow though. It was if they were freezing there with passing seconds.

"Father..." He spoke, "Give me a place."

Those words seemed to melt the stone statue that was Father.

And then, Father broke down. Everyone witnessed for what was probably the only time in their lives, Father coming down on his knees.

"I... I..."

"Father, Give me a place. I know you love me that much to not deny me that."

And then, with flowing tears in his eyes, Father saw his favorite son's wings burn.
