Chapter 253
Kate Lockley's team crept toward's Tom Warner's safehouse. These were bad guys, about to murder three innocent people tonight, probably more down the line. They began firing on the cult members, killing a number of them instantly. Warner was wounded, but not instantly killed. Billy Blim died instantly. They didn't realize that Mr Trick wouldn't die from these bullets. The cops began untying Buffy, Kit, and Carlos. Then Machida arrived. It was a giant snake, and he didn't seem happy about his ritual being interrupted. Buffy was still dazed, but ready to join these cops in fighting Machida. Mr Trick had another idea. He helped Tom Warnr up, but instead of helping him get away Trick offerred him up to Machida. This snake demon realized this meal was the best he would get. Although Tom Warner begged for his life Machida dragged him away. The others heard Tom Warner scream. But then, the screaming stopped.
