Sorry this chapter is so short, I realised I should have added it to the end of Chapter 6, but I didn't want it to be in the same chapter as what will be chapter 8. It's coming, be patient with me :) Love you guys
Later that evening, the Doctor and Rose returned to their hotel room after a long afternoon of shopping and a lovely steak and shrimp dinner. Exhausted from the day's events, Rose crashed almost instantly.
The Doctor pulled the fluffy duvet up over Rose and gently tucked her in. He watched her for a moment, breathing in and out steadily, the covers slowly rising up and down like a rowboat out on the water. Suddenly, her mouth opened and a puff of golden smoke escaped, slowly drifting upwards.
The Doctor's brow furrowed. That definitely couldn't be good. He pulled his sonic screwdriver from his suit pocket and scanned Rose's body up and down. He read the results and frowned. Definitely not right. Something was wrong with his Rose and he was going to find out what.
He approached the window on light feet, taking certain care not to wake Rose. Being biologically superior, he didn't feel the urge to sleep yet, and so sat in the chair with his hands steepled under his chin, gazing at the cars passing below until sunrise.
