Naruto managed to reach the place he would always felt comfortable in, his home. His beloved wife and his kids. Itachi was always working out, and Sasuke was doing his best to try and keep up. But even with the shadow clone jutsu they still wanted to learn and grow stronger faster and faster. "Hey, bro when do you think dad will be back." Itachi looked at him and smiled, "He is already here. He must be really tired because he went to his room, and is with mom right now."
Mikoto was sound asleep as he crawled into the bed. His work had been completed. If he didn't have the shadow clone jutsu he would have had to go and meet the other jinchuriki one after the other, and do missions back to back. But thanks to the shadow clones he finished meeting the other tail beast containers and finished the missions. It did give him a splitting headache after each clone deactivated and he got the memories. The long trek home also tired him out.
"I am Home, my kids are out in the yard safe, and the love of my life is asleep in our bed. I am Home." He fell asleep and felt his wife pushing him to his side. "Yes, you are. Now lets gets some sleep before you have to go and tell the Hokage all about your missions." Naruto apologized about waking her, she just told him that having him close was just what she had been missing. With a small kiss the both fell asleep.
The next morning the two boys were rather happy to see their father and mother seated together eating breakfast. "Greetings, father, mother. I hope you had a successful and uneventful trip, father." Naruto saw Itachi behaving rather formally and the figure of Sasuke hiding behind him. "Quite the success, managed to make our relations with the other villages much stronger than they were. But enough of formalities. Come and give your dad a nice hug. I missed you boys very much."
Itachi and Sasuke gave him a big hug, and Mikoto could not help but smile at seeing their children look so happy. "Sasuke and Itachi, could you please tell your father what you have been doing since he was off on those missions?" Mikoto was smiling but she could tell there was something that was upsetting her. Itachi was the first to tell him that they had raided his private library and were learning from his scrolls.
He sat there hearing about how his kids managed to do the shadow clone jutsu and used it to learn faster. He told them that it was a kinjutsu and was forbidden because if the person did it while having low chakra, that person could die. Sasuke wanting to change the subject he decided to tell him that Itachi was interested in a girl, and that they were often alone together.
Naruto looked at him and smiled, "So you finally decided to ask Yori to be your girlfriend, Menma must have hated that you told her before he did." Itachi could not help but to tell him that he was wrong, they both asked her together, and she chose him. Menma was so upset he could not even speak his outrage. "Yori was very happy to go out with me, and we had a few dates already.. She really loves me dad, and I love her too."
Mikoto was happy to see her son find someone he liked. "Well, I see that our son finally told you his news. For one I am very happy that he found someone as honorable. What is it that you really dread?" Naruto heard his wife and he got up and pulled her down until she was seated on his lap. "Well Itachi has a very nice girlfriend, but god forgive me for saying this, but I am so happy he did not fall in love with a Haruno. I wouldn't wish that fate even on Jiraiya."
This made the entire family begin laughing at what Naruto had mentioned. "Dad, don't worry we both remember what you told us, that we should look beyond looks, look at her character. There is no chance of one of those banshees ever dating one of us." Sasuke screamed, "No damn way I am dating a fucking banshee." Naruto bonked Sasuke on the head, and so did Mitoko. The boy told him the same thing at the same time. "Sasuke, Language. No foul language in this house."
Sasuke apologized and began to rub his head. "With all my missions over, I guess you should tell Menma and Yori that their training starts again, after I give my report to the Hokage." Itachi was very happy to train again with his dad. "But so help me if I find one of my sons dressed in green spandex, and screaming about how hot the flame of youth is within them. I think I will simply go back to ANBU just to hide from the embarrassment."
Mikoto assured him that none of their kids would do that. "You think my training is harsh, maybe I should ask Guy show you what harsh training really looks likes, then you would be even happier to train with me." Then both boys asked who he was talking about? Naruto told them he was talking about the one and only green beast of Konoha, Might Guy.
Every genin had heard horror stories about the training techniques of one Might Guy, but since their father was telling them what he did, they realized that the training stories were in fact the truth. Itachi went to sleep early because he knew that his father would test them the next day.
In the usual training field Naruto decided to show up while his team was doing their warm up exercises. The substitute teacher was very happy to see him back, and now he could go back to the relaxing and peaceful job of being in ANBU. When he told him that Naruto tapped him on the shoulder. "Don't you think I wish I could be back here too?"
Itachi heard that and asked his father what he could possibly mean by that. He told him that the life in ANBU was easy, you go, take a mission or go on guard duty, or simply train. But the life as a teacher was harsh because the teacher would always worry if he taught the team well enough, are they prepared for the mission, will I have to tell a parent that they child is dead.. This was even made worse by the fact that he did not want to lose his son, because he failed to teach him properly.
"Dad, you are a tough teacher, and we are ready for even B rank missions, remember what happened back in Wave. That was not a typical mission. So come one the rest of the team wants to meet their teacher, and hear all about your missions." Well Naruto was happy to hear his son's words, and that they had such faith in his teaching abilities.
"Well team I would like to up your training a little bit. Today we discuss what new things you are interested in learning. And maybe we will get to practice some higher elemental manipulation exercises. Those are always fun." The team told him that they all wanted to learn more about kenjutsu. "Well alright, kenjutsu is the way of the sword and for you to learn it successfully you need to understand the strength and weak points of a blade and swordsman. I will tell you what I know about that."
Naruto began to lecture them about it in great detail, the lecture was so intense that not even Menma made a sound. As the lecture was over Naruto asked if they had any questions. Yori of course had to ask why they needed to pick a sword for themselves. Naruto explained that depending on their element and body build, the sword they picked should be as comfortable to them as a part of themselves.
Naruto had a feeling that he had taught them this before, but a refresher lecture couldn't hurt. The advance kenjutsu katas proved to be a little too much for them, and so he had them do basic katas with their shadow clones. The advance elemental exercises were a complete success however. They simply loved them, it was making them feel more connected with their elemental affinity.
They all were pretty tired by the end of the day, and they each joked that maybe Naruto wanted to work so hard so that they would fall asleep quicker. "Menma, you know as well as I do that my father simply wants to make sure you survive." Itachi asked Yori if she wanted to eat dinner at his house, she was very happy to do so. She hadn't been introduced to the family and she felt that it was about time to do that.
"So what do we owe the honor of having your girlfriend over for dinner?" Yori was blushing so much that you could not even see the two tattoos on her face. "Mikoto, it is obvious why she is hear. Our son has finally decided to formally introduce his blushing bride. I have to tell you, I was surprised by this action. Yori as far as I remember always complained about how we Uchiha all had poles up our..." Yori decided to step in and clarify that she only said that cause she was frustrated, that Itachi had not noticed how much she was in love with him, and that she did not mean any disrespect.
"Well you obviously already know my husband, and it goes without mention that you know our son. This is Sasuke, our youngest, at least for a little while." Naruto looked at his wife. "Since our son decided to let the rest of the family in on his secret. I guess I should tell mine too. I am pregnant. I really hope that I will get to have a little girl." Naruto could hardly believe it. It had been 2 months since he returned from those missions, and they did make love rather passionately to make up for lost time, but that did not stop him from wondering.
"So I might have a baby brother or sister?" Sasuke was clearly happy by the news. Naruto relaxed. The thing he was wondering about was how his youngest would react to the news that he might have another sibling. "Dad, how could you not notice?" Itachi clearly wondering since even he noticed how many times his mother would feel nauseous in the morning.
"To my defense son, I have been to busy trying to get your team ready. I mean it is coming pretty soon, and I know you hate to fail." Yori asked what could he mean, "Well I guess the entire family is telling their secrets today, oh, well. The chuunin exams are going to be held in a couple of months. That was another reason why I did those missions, to improve relations with the other villages so they would participate in these exams."
"And for a minute there I was thinking that you were using that as an excuse to shamelessly flirt and cheat on me with some hussies of those villages." Naruto looked positively hurt. "Why would I cheat on you? You are the love of my life, and the mother of my precious children." Mikoto was laughing as he mentioned that. "I was just teasing. Come one everyone dinner is ready. I want to hear all about why anyone would fall in love with a workaholic like my son."
"Sasuke for the hundredth time, manners, elbows off the table and pass the food Yori asked for." This cause the others at the table to laugh, "Look son if you are wondering how your baby brother is going to look like, we can look at the old family photos later, but right now we need to have the traditional interrogation and torture dinner for your brother's girlfriend."
"So Yori, since you are so serious with my son. How many grandkids are we to expect?" Itachi stood up and complained with the same response many men had given. "Daaad, we aren't even married and you are already thinking how many kids we will have. How about you let us decide first." Mikoto was laughing her head off. "He is my son what else would you expect my love."
Mikoto told them that he had to answer that very same question, and he told her father the same thing. That it was for them to decide and her father had just asked that to see how serious their relationship was. "You can decide that is obvious, but I want at least 2." Yori decided to ask when was he planning to tell them about the Exams, and how could he not tell them sooner.
"I was going to tell you when I saw you at least be able to handle a sword better. I know these exams mean a lot to you, but I kid you not they are as dangerous as a war. I want to make sure you three make it back alive." Itachi wanted to ask what he meant by that, but his girlfriend asked him first. "Why you both and our future grandkid, who else?" It had been Mikoto's turn to tease. "Mooom, she is not pregnant, for crying out loud I hope they do this to you too, Sasuke. It will be the only punishment I would accept for all the laughing you been doing."
