According to Willow there were 118 days until graduation. Xander assumed he wouldn't feel this bad by then, but it still hurt right now. Buffy had broken up with him, he wondered if he'd done something wrong, but what exactly. Xander wanted to talk to someone. He usually talked with Buffy about these things, that was off the table. Xander didn't want to be a drain on Willow and Tara, and he wouldn't talk to his parents if he could avoid it. Cordelia and Jessie were dead, he finally decided on Oz. Xander and Oz were friends, but they'd drifted apart. Oz was having issues with Veruca. Maybe they could bond over their respective misery. Xander seemed to rant, while Oz said almost nothing.
