The next morning...

Ricky and Grace were sleeping and there was a knock on the door.

"Ugh...Man...Coming..." Ricky said sleepily as he rolled out of bed and he walked to the door.

"Hey Ricky...I didn't know you were still here...Heh...This is a guest room so it's totally cool that you slept in it last night...Um...Adrian told me about what Cappie did last night..." Grant said nicely.

"Yeah...I think he put some kind of drug in Grace's drink...She was really...uh...in the mood..." Ricky said awkwardly.

"Oh...He must have put ecstasy in it...It usually heightens your sensitivity around certain people and can sometimes affect your hormones and make you...more aroused...Heh...I did a report on it in one of my health classes..." Grant said seriously.

"No kidding...We didn't do anything though...Heh...Thanks for the party though...It was really great." Ricky said kindly.

"That's good...Heh...Yeah it was...I think everyone had a great time and...I'm sorry about Cappie...But we gotta clean up all the rooms so I need ya to leave..." Grant said nicely.

"Oh...Right...It's not that messy in here...And don't worry about Cappie...I'm just glad Grace is ok..." Ricky said seriously.

"Me too...I need to call him later...I'll clean this room later since...Grace is still asleep on the bed with...her toga wrapped around her..." Grant said suspiciously as he looked at the bed.

"Uh...Yeah...We'll be out of here in ten minutes...Oh no...What time is it?" Ricky said worried.

"It's almost nine forty five...Why?" Grant asked concerned.

"We need to get to Mimsy's funeral at church by eleven...Shoot...See ya later Grant!" Ricky said in a panicked tone as he walked over to his shoes and slipped them on.

"Yeah...Bye Ricky..." Grant said nicely and he walked out of the room.

"Grace! Wake up!" Ricky said loudly as he slightly touched her on the arm.

"Hmm...Ricky? What's going on?" Grace said sleepily as she stretched her arms.

"We have to get to Mimsy's funeral...There isn't much time...Put your toga on..." Ricky said firmly as he re-adjusted his toga and grabbed his phone and car keys from the table.

"Uh...Why was my toga off?" Grace asked confused as she put her toga back on.

"Heh...It's a long story...Let's go!" Ricky said as he rushed out the door.

"Ugh...What happened to me last night?" Grace said silently to herself as she put her sandals on and she went out of the room and followed Ricky downstairs.

About an hour later Ricky and Grace arrived at church and they were dressed in all black.

"Why can't you just tell me what happened last night?" Grace said stubbornly as they got out of Ricky's car.

"Um...Now's not the time or place for that...We're here for...oh great..." Ricky said seriously and then worried as he saw Adrian and Omar get out of their car.

"Good morning...Grace, Ricky..." Omar said nicely as he walked over to them with Adrian.

"It is a lovely morning...Isn't it?" Adrian said sarcastically as Ricky rolled his eyes at her.

"Let's go inside...Amy's probably waiting for us..." Ricky said sternly as he walked towards the church with Omar next to him.

"Ricky won't tell me what happened last night...The last thing I remember is drinking punch from that...Cappie guy...Oh no...Did I get...drunk?" Grace said worried.

"Uh...Not exactly...I think he put some kind of drug in your punch...You were really in the mood and...you were talking in a dreamy tone..." Adrian said honestly.

"Oh, God! I must have been on ecstasy...That drug really gets your hormones going crazy and...in the mood...I learned about it at med camp..." Grace said shocked.

"Yeah...That's probably what it was...I'm sorry Grace...And...Ricky took you upstairs after you were...drugged by Cappie...I tried to stop him..." Adrian said seriously as they walked into church.

"No, no, no...This couldn't have happened...Ugh...My toga outfit wasn't even on when I woke up this morning..." Grace said concerned.

"Grace! Adrian! Thanks for coming! How was the party last night?" Amy said sweetly as she walked over to them.

"Hey Amy...We're really sorry about Mimsy...And uh...the party was great...You and Ben would have loved it." Adrian said sincerely.

"Thanks...Is there something going on? You two don't look so good..." Amy said worried.

"Uh...I need to go to the bathroom...I'll be right back..." Grace said awkwardly and then she covered her mouth and ran to the bathroom.

"Oh no...Did...Grace drink too much last night?" Amy said surprised.

"Um...Not that I'm aware of...But...Jack was drunk last night..." Adrian said seriously.

"Jack was drunk?! I can't believe that!" Amy said shocked.

"Hey Adrian...How are you?" Ben said nicely as he walked over to Adrian and Amy.

"Hey Ben...I'm all right..." Adrian said kindly.

"Jack was drunk at the party last night..." Amy said concerned as she looked at Ben.

"Wow...That's pretty crazy...It's too bad we missed it...But...the funeral is about to start so we should find a seat..." Ben said kindly.

A few minutes later Grace walked out of the bathroom and she saw Jack.

"Hey Grace...Are you all right?" Jack said nicely.

"No...I was on ecstasy last night...and I just threw up..." Grace said annoyed.

"Ecstasy...The drug?" Jack asked shocked.

"Yeah...I don't remember anything...Adrian told me this Cappie guy gave me it...And you got really drunk last night...You threw me off a table and I landed on Grant..." Grace said sternly.

"I did? Wow...That's pretty bad...I'm sorry about that...My head was killing me earlier but I'm better now...We should probably find a seat..." Jack said seriously and they sat in a pew with their friends.

A few minutes later Reverend Stone walked to a microphone at the front of the church and Mimsy was in a casket behind him.

"Welcome...Friends and family of Mimsy...I know that...death is never easy for a family...But...the Lord must giveth and taketh away...I didn't personally know Mimsy but...I do know that she was very close to her family and that...she loved them all very much...She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and wife...As well as a lovely friend who cared about everyone in a selfless way...But...a few short years ago...she was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and it took a toll on her family...She had a difficult time remembering who they were but...she still loved them..." Reverend Stone said kindly as he looked at everyone.

Anne began to cry and Amy rubbed her back. George also got teary eyes as Kathleen rubbed his back.

"If anyone wants to say anything about Mimsy...Please come on up here..." Reverend Stone said nicely.

"Mom...Do you want to go up there?" Ashley said sadly.

"No...I'm fine...You can if you want, Ashley..." Anne said through her tears.

"I'll go...I have a lot to say about Mimsy..." Amy said seriously as she stood up and walked to the front of the church.

After Amy rubbed her eyes and cleared her throat she began to speak.

"So...I've never spoken at a funeral before...but...um...I must say that I did love Mimsy very much and...I hope that she is happy in Heaven...And...she meant a lot to me...Because...three years ago...I got pregnant and...I was thinking about giving my son, John up for adoption but...Mimsy is the one person who changed my mind...I...remember her saying that adoption is not an option and...I am glad that she told me that because...I am so happy to have John as my son...And of course I'll never forget going to Mimsy's house to make Christmas cookies or...playing cards with my sister Ashley at her house...I...have a lot of found memories of my grandmother and...I hope that someday I'll be lucky enough to live a long and fulfilling life like she did...But even if I don't...I hope that I can live everyday like it is my last because...every day is a gift and we should make every day count...I also learned this from Mimsy and...I am truly thankful to be alive because I was close to dying about a month ago...But...by the grace of God...I made it and...I was hoping that God could save Mimsy after her heart attack but...I guess it was her time to go...Um...That's all I really have to say...Thank you..." Amy said sincerely as she began to cry and then she walked over to where Anne and Ashley were sitting.

"That was beautiful Amy...Thank you...Anyone else?" Reverend Stone said nicely.

A few minutes later Ricky walked to the front of the church.

"Uh...I never really knew Mimsy but...I must say that I am grateful for her...because she did encourage Amy to want to keep our son, John...And I love him very much...And...I must also say that...death is never easy...It hurts to lose someone that you love...I know what that feels like even though I've never lost a loved one due to dying...However, when you do lose someone it only makes you stronger...I know this because...I've seen people become stronger from losing people they love...Deep down...I loved my father even though he hurt me...but I had to lose him because he made me suffer in unimaginable ways...Grace lost her father a few years ago...Marshall Bowman...Yeah he may have screwed up but Grace became stronger after losing him...Ben lost his mother but he's become stronger because of it...Jack lost his father and he's become stronger...Just ask any of my friends who have lost their parents, and they will tell you that they have became stronger people because of it...Now...I'm not saying that losing a parent is a good thing but...not everyone lives forever...and I know that Anne will become stronger from losing her mother...Just like Amy, Ashley, and George will become stronger from losing Mimsy as well...I hope...that Mimsy does rest in peace...God bless her soul...Thank you..." Ricky said honestly with tears in his eyes and then he sat back down next to Grace.

"That was...amazing Ricky...Thank you..." Grace said sweetly through her tears.

"You're welcome..." Ricky said sadly as he grabbed Grace's hand.

"Wow...That was very moving Ricky...I appreciate that...So...are we ready to proceed with the burial?" Reverend Stone said kindly.

Anne nodded her head at Reverend Stone as she wiped her face with a tissue.

About twenty minutes later everyone was outside at the cemetery and some men lowered Mimsy's casket into a hole in the ground.

"Thank you...For everything Reverend Stone..." Anne said nicely through her tears.

"Of course Anne...I know that losing Mimsy was hard...But you'll be all right..." Reverend Stone said sincerely as he gave Anne a hug.

"This was a great funeral...I think Mimsy would be proud..." George said kindly.

"Yes...It was very moving..." Kathleen said sweetly.

"Well...I tried to keep it as sincere as possible...And I think what Ricky and Amy said was very nice..." Reverend Stone said honestly.

"Yes...I am so proud of them..." Anne said sincerely as she smiled.

After everyone said goodbye to Mimsy and put flowers around her grave they went to Jeff's for lunch.

"That was really tough..." Ricky said sadly as he sat next to Grace at a booth with Amy and Ben.

"I know...I really didn't want to say all those things but...I had to..." Amy said honestly.

"Well...I think you did great Amy...and you too Ricky..." Grace said sweetly.

"Yeah...Heh...I guess three of us all have something else in common now...We've all lost a parent and or grandparent..." Ben said awkwardly.

"True...but I might be joining that club soon...if my father gets the death penalty..." Ricky said seriously.

"Uh...It's not really a good club to join, Ricky...Are you sure that you want your father dead?" Ben asked intrigued.

"If your father did what he did to me, you would feel the same way..." Ricky said sternly.

"Hey...Guys...So...Can I talk to Ricky and Grace for a minute...It's pretty important..." Adrian said nicely as she walked over to their table.

"Um...Sure...I need to use the bathroom anyway..." Ben said awkwardly as he stood up.

"Uh...Did something happen last night?" Amy asked suspiciously.

"Oh...It's not that big of a deal...I promise it won't take long..." Adrian said seriously.

Amy sighed and she got out of the booth and Adrian took her seat.

"What do you want Adrian?" Ricky asked a little irritated.

"Yeah...We were having a nice time talking to them..." Grace said slightly annoyed.

"Uh huh...Did you two have a nice time last night?" Adrian said quietly and firmly.

"Ugh...Really? You know that I would never take advantage of Grace like that...And I'm going to kill Cappie if I ever see him again..." Ricky said honestly.

"Oh...Thank God cause I was starting to get suspicious that you did...Especially since my toga wasn't on when I woke up this morning..." Grace said a little irritated and Adrian's eyes widened.

"You took it off...Not me...I wrapped you in it after you fell asleep..." Ricky said sternly.

"Oooh...Sounds like you two had a lot of fun...Well...I'm glad that everything worked out cause I was really worried about both of you after Omar and I left the party..." Adrian said seriously.

"You can go now Adrian..." Grace said annoyed as she looked at her.

"Fine...I just wanted to make sure that you're both all right...See ya later..." Adrian said nicely and she left their table.

"Come on, Grace...You know I would never do anything like that to you...Although...I was very tempted to...You even took off one of your bra straps..." Ricky said seriously.

"Yeah...I know...I did what?! Ugh...I'm so embarrassed..." Grace said nicely, in shock, and then a little irritated.

"Don't be...It was...kind of hot but...scary at the same time...You were really in the mood...but...you were in like a...drunken state...You had no idea what was going on but...I had to kiss you...to help you settle down..." Ricky said honestly.

"Oh...I'm so sorry Ricky...At least I didn't do anything else...Right?" Grace said concerned.

"It's not your fault...I shouldn't have given you that drink from Cappie...No...you didn't do anything else...You fell asleep pretty quickly after I kissed your neck...Heh...And...I was actually more worried about you when Jack threw you off the table..."Ricky said seriously.

"Yeah...I'm defiantly never drinking drinks from strange guys ever again...At least Grant broke my fall...Oh...you liked kissing my neck?" Grace said honestly and then she smirked.

"I sure hope so...Ha ha...Yeah I did...A lot..." Ricky said as he smiled and then he gave Grace a long kiss.

"Ugh...Look at them...They're so disgusting..." Amy said annoyed as she watched Grace and Ricky kiss.

"Um...You have kissed guys in public before...What's your problem, Amy?" Ben said concerned.

"I know but...It's just...hard watching them kiss..." Amy said honestly.

"You want me to interfere?" Jack said intrigued from behind them.

"Oh...Hey Jack...No...We're good...But...I heard you got drunk last night?" Amy said awkwardly and then seriously.

"Uh...Yeah I did...It was pretty bad...And...Grace was on ecstasy last night...I gotta go...Sorry about Mimsy..." Jack said nicely and then he left the restaurant.

"What did he just say? Grace was...on ecstasy?" Ben said shocked.

"There's no way that could be true..." Amy said surprised as she shook her head.

"A-hemm...What did you just say Ben?" George said concerned from behind them.

"Uh...It's nothing Mr. Jergens sir..." Ben said awkwardly.

"Yeah right...You two better go over there and figure out what's going on...If I go over there, they won't tell me anything...I don't want to give Kathleen false information about Grace. Got it?" George said sternly.

"Fine Dad...We'll do your dirty work for wife number one...Ugh...Come on Ben..." Amy said annoyed and she grabbed Ben's hand and walked back over to their table.

"So...Our food's here...Steak is so good..." Ricky smiled as he grabbed his fork while Ben and Amy sat down.

"It sure is...So...Grace...how was ecstasy last night?" Ben said nervously as he grabbed his fork.

"Ben! You're not supposed to ask her about it like that!" Amy said a little irritated as she elbowed Ben.

"Uh...Who told you that?" Grace said concerned.

"Jack did...Right before he left..." Ben said sadly.

"Jack knows about this? Great..." Ricky said annoyed.

"I can't believe this...He'll probably tell his parents and then they'll tell my Mom...Ugh...I shouldn't have told him..." Grace said stubbornly after taking a bite of her chicken.

"Uh...George sort of already knows..." Ben said awkwardly.

"Whatever...It's not like this is the worst thing that happened to me...I didn't take it on purpose...It was a total accident..." Grace said honestly.

"Ok...That makes it better...I guess...At least you're ok..." Amy said sweetly.

"Yeah...So...when do you two go back to New York?" Ricky said kindly.

"Uh...In a few hours...We should probably get going after we finish our food...Thanks for coming to the funeral...It means a lot..." Amy said seriously.

"No problem...I hope you two have a safe flight back..." Ricky said nicely.

"All right...What does that mean?" Amy said firmly. Ben and Grace exchanged glances at each other and then looked at Amy surprised.

"Nothing...I just hope you guys have a nice flight..." Ricky said honestly.

"Really? So...you're not just saying that cause you two didn't do anything...inappropriate while John was with you?" Amy said suspiciously.

"Of course not! I don't get what your problem is Amy..." Ricky said annoyed.

Oh snap! What's going on with Amy? And I know I said there was going to be other characters in this chapter but there will be in the next one. It sounds like Mimsy's funeral went fairly well. What's going to happen when Kathleen and George find out what happened at the party? Will Bob get the death penalty? The trial will be coming up soon! Let me know what you think! Thank you! :)
