Chapter 270
When Willow heard about Buffy and Xander's break-up she felt torn. They were her best friends, both of them. They were both likely in pain, but Willow couldn't be there for both of them, nor did she wish to take sides in the break-up. Willow and Tara agreed that Willow should comfort Xander, Tara could comfort Buffy. Buffy and Dawn knew about Tara eing their cat, but they were still friends. Willow knew Tara used to have a crush on Buffy, but with Xander and Willow's history this made the most sense. Tara accepted that although Willow was her girlfriend she had to be a good friend to Xander as well.
