When Buffy got the call from Faith about the cops she knew it must be Kate Lockley behind this. As evil as Wilkins was Buffy didn't believe he would kill his own daughter These zombie cops were laying siege to Anne's shelter, Faith and Buffy's friends were doing what they could, but they needed help. Buffy went to Kate Lockley's house. Buffy tried telling her what was going on, but she either didn't believe Buffy, or didn't care about those children. Buffy didn't have time for this, she went inside. Kate tried to stop her, they fought briefly but Buffy won. Buffy soon saw it, the idol of Granath. Buffy took a guess that this was what Kate used to raise the dead. Against detective Lockley's protests Buffy smashed the idol. She wasn't sure yet, but the zombie cops all died again that very moment, never to be raised again.
