Chapter 277
After Buffy destroyed the idol of Granath she draged Kate Lockley to Anne's shelter. In case that plan hadn't worked she hoped Kate had another way to stop them. In either case she wanted her to know what she had done. Kate didn't want to believe it, but Buffy was right. These cops, including her own father, had murdered three teens. Others had been wounded, were recieving medical attention. One of the doctors, Ben Wilkison, went up to Buffy.
Ben: You and your friends keep getting hurt.
Buffy: Not how I planned to spend my Wednesday night.
Ben: Comes with the territory, if you really become the slayer one day.
Buffy: Does everyone know?
Ben: I have a past, learned to pick up certain things. My point is, if you or your friends ever need sme medical help, off the books, come see me. I'll help as best I can.
Buffy: Thank you.
