Meanwhile in New York...
"I'm really sorry about last night Ben...I don't know what Adrian was thinking..." Omar said sincerely as he grabbed a soda out of the fridge.
"Don't worry about it Omar...She was just trying to help...Heh...I did have a lot of fun...Did you?" Ben said kindly.
"Of course I did...I just can't believe she pulled a prank like that on us...Hopefully she'll have fun with Amy at the mall." Omar said nicely as he sat at the table.
"Yeah I know...I guess Adrian has a prankster side to her...Ha ha...I'm really glad the baby is ok though..." Ben said smiling after taking a sip of his soda.
"Me too...Do you want to watch a movie or play playstation or something? John can play too." Omar said happily.
"Playstation sounds like fun...I'll wake up John..." Ben said nicely as he got up.
Meanwhile at the mall...
"Did you enjoy your manicure, Amy?" Adrian said kindly as they walked out of a nail salon.
"Yeah I did...It was pretty relaxing...And thanks for last night, Adrian...It was a lot of fun." Amy said sweetly.
"No problem...You don't think I went too far?" Adrian said concerned as they sat on a bench.
"Uh...A little bit but I'm just glad you didn't drink...But...why did you want to bring me here?" Amy said seriously.
"Just to have a little girl time with you...I thought you could use it...Heh...I do every once in awhile..." Adrian said smiling.
"Yeah...I really appreciate you wanting to my friend...But...how are you going to help me and Ben exactly?" Amy said honestly.
"And I'm glad you want to be my friend too, Amy...When we get home...I'll help you two even more...Let's go look at some shoes!" Adrian said nicely and then excited as she stood up.
"Uh...Adrian...Do we really need to look at shoes?" Amy said confused.
"Of course! That's part of girl bonding! Come on!" Adrian said smiling as she grabbed Amy's hand and they went into a shoe store.
As they walked into the shoe store Amy's phone rang.
"Hey Madison...What's up?" Amy said nicely as she answered her phone.
"Hey Amy...So I'm going out with Jason tonight and I don't know what to wear..." Madison said seriously.
"Ha ha...Really? You always have something good to wear...Just wear something nice." Amy said smiling.
"Yeah but we're going to a country club...That's like really fancy and stuff...I've never been to a country club before..." Madison said concerned.
"Oh wow...I haven't either...Um...I think a dress that goes to your knees would be ok and defiantly heels...And maybe a...short jacket or something..." Amy said kindly.
"All right...Thanks Amy...I'll figure it out...What are you doing?" Madison said happily.
"You're welcome...I'm shopping with Adrian...It's part of my 'therapy'..." Amy said seriously.
"Therapy? What are you talking about?" Madison said confused.
"Please don't tell my family this...Especially my Dad...Um...I've used Ben to help me with my feelings about losing Mimsy and...Ricky too..." Amy said honestly.
"What are you doing? Madison doesn't need to know that!" Adrian said sternly as she put down a pair of black heels and looked at Amy.
"Oh...I'm sorry about that...Wait...You still have feelings for Ricky?" Madison said surprised.
"No, no, no...He just made me feel bad at Mimsy's funeral...I gotta go...Bye..." Amy said quickly and she hung up.
"Why did you just tell Madison about my therapy?" Adrian said a little irritated.
"Um...She's one of my best friends...We tell each other almost everything..." Amy said seriously.
"Right...But she gossips to almost everyone...I wouldn't be surprised if she tells George...Then he'll tell Kathleen which could cause problems for Ricky and Grace." Adrian said honestly.
"What? How could your therapy cause problems for Ricky and Grace? They already know that you're going to help me and Ben." Amy said firmly.
"Yeah but...what if I don't? What if my therapy causes you wanting...Ricky again?" Adrian said concerned.
"That's impossible...Unlike you, I'm not still in love with him." Amy said annoyed.
"Wow...Do you have your head screwed on backwards? Omar is the only man I'm in love with...Let's get going before we make a scene..." Adrian said stubbornly and they walked out of the store.
About twenty minutes later Amy and Adrian walked into Adrian's house and they saw Omar, Ben, and John playing video games.
"Hey girls! How was shopping?" Omar said happily.
"It was great...And...can you like do some yard work or something? I'm ready for the next part of their therapy..." Adrian said seriously.
"Uh...It's December...and it's cold outside..." Omar said concerned as he turned the TV off.
"Then...Go do something else...Please Omie..." Adrian said sweetly as she made a pouty face.
"Fine...Enjoy your therapy Ben..." Omar said a little irritated as he went into his office.
"What about John?" Amy said intrigued.
"He can stay...He grabbed his cars anyway..." Adrian said nicely as she watched John grab his toy cars and started playing with them.
"So...What do we have to do now?" Ben said kindly as he sat on the couch next to Amy and Adrian sat in a leather chair.
"All right...I have some questions...Tell me about you two's first time..." Adrian said seriously.
"Uh...With each other?" Ben said confused.
"Of course with each other! I already know about you two's very first time...Geeze..." Adrian said annoyed as she rolled her eyes.
"Heh...Ok...It was very...nice and...passionate...and just perfect..." Amy said smiling as her cheeks turned red.
"Uh huh...Wasn't it when...Ricky and Grace were here to see Omar in the hospital and to find Bob?" Adrian said seriously.
"Oh man...It was...That's crazy..." Ben said concerned.
"Why does that matter?" Amy said intrigued.
"Maybe that's why Amy wanted to sleep with you..." Adrian said honestly.
"Is that true, Amy?" Ben said worried.
"Of course not!" Amy said a little irritated as she raised her voice.
"You know...I think I'm noticing a pattern here...You've slept with Ben when Ricky's around...Or because of him..." Adrian said sadly.
"I think you're right, Adrian..." Ben said firmly as he crossed his arms.
"So what? The first time had nothing to do with Ricky...I really wanted to sleep with Ben the first time...because I love him..." Amy said honestly.
"Tell me this...Do you really love Ben or...do you just love being in a relationship with him because your relationship with Ricky wasn't what you wanted?" Adrian said seriously.
"Woah...I didn't know you could be so...deep, Adrian..." Ben said surprised.
"I learned a thing or two when I took psychology...So...Amy?" Adrian said nicely and intrigued.
"Uh...I do really love Ben...and I love being in a relationship with him...But not because of Ricky..." Amy said sadly.
"Go on..." Adrian said smiling as Ben put one of his arms around her.
"I love being in a relationship with Ben because I love everything about him and...I do think that we make a great family with John...He really loves Ben too..." Amy said sweetly.
"Ah ha! So you want Ben to be John's father instead of Ricky?" Adrian said surprised.
"No...I'm glad that Ricky is John's dad...But I think that Ben could be John's step dad someday..." Amy said seriously.
"Thanks Amy...I would love to do that...John's a great kid..." Ben said smiling.
"All right...Back to you two...Before you two did the chocolate syrup thing, Ben was worried that you wanted to sleep with him because of Mimsy...He told me that...However, he went along with it...Why did you do it, Ben?" Adrian said honestly as she looked at Amy and then Ben.
"Cause I thought it sounded like fun and it was...And I thought Amy really wanted to do it for us and not because of Mimsy..." Ben said nicely.
"Ok...Well...I think you two should defiantly be more honest with each other about your problems...It might help you both to get closer and sleep together for the right reasons..." Adrian said sincerely.
"You're right...But...how do I get over my problems?" Amy said worried.
"Talk to Ben about them...I'll go see what Omar's doing..." Adrian said smiling and she went into Omar's office.
"So...What's on your mind, Amy?" Ben said seriously.
"I think we should talk to Ricky..." Amy said concerned.
"Why? You said that you're over him." Ben said firmly.
"I am...I just don't know if I can ever see him again or if...I want John to see him ever again..." Amy said sternly.
"Are you being serious? John is Ricky's son, Amy! I know you don't wish he was but he is. No matter what happens between us, Ricky will always have the right to see John..." Ben said surprised.
"Yeah but...don't you want it to just be the three of us? Like how we planned back when we were fifteen?" Amy said honestly.
"That would be ideal but...it's not fair to Ricky...I couldn't take John away from him...What if you were John? Would you never want to see your dad again?" Ben said seriously.
"Oh...I guess you're right, Ben...I'm sorry...I love you." Amy said sincerely and she laid her head down on Ben's shoulder.
"I love you too, Amy...We'll get through this somehow..." Ben said nicely and he gave Amy a kiss on the head.
Meanwhile in California...
Grace and Ricky were at the hospital to see Rusty with Cappie and Casey.
"Thanks for coming Tom...It's nice to see you again..." Cappie said smiling.
"Heh...Yeah...It's nice to see you again too, Cappie...So you don't know who shot Rusty?" Ricky said happily and then concerned.
"No...I don't know how we're going to figure it out..." Casey said sadly.
"Are there security cameras at the golf course?" Ricky said intrigued.
"I think so...We'll have to contact some cops and figure that out." Cappie said honestly.
"I hope you two do...We need to get going so...I hope you two have a nice-" Grace stopped as she saw Rusty open his eyes.
"Ugh...Man...What...What happened to me?" Rusty said slowly and in pain.
"Oh Rus! You're ok!" Casey said happily and she hugged Rusty.
"Hey...Casey...Where am I?" Rusty said confused as Casey let go of him.
"You're in the hospital Spitter...You got shot...I knew you would make it." Cappie said smiling.
"I...got shot?" Rusty said surprised.
"Yeah...In the leg...I found you unconscious at the golf course and I called 911, gave you CPR, and put my jacket on your leg to slow down the bleeding..." Grace said honestly.
"Wow...Are you like a...nurse or something?" Rusty said intrigued.
"Heh...No...I'm a pre-med student...I want to be a doctor and my name's Grace...I'm glad you're ok, Rusty." Grace said smiling.
"Thank you for helping me, Grace...I owe you one...And who are you?" Rusty said kindly as he looked at Grace and then Ricky.
"I'm Ricky...Grace is my girlfriend...It's nice to meet you, Rusty." Ricky said nicely.
"Oh...You're lucky cause I was just about to ask her out...Ha ha..." Rusty said as he smirked.
"Ha ha ha! Oh Spitter...You always were a ladies man...I'm really happy you're ok." Cappie said as he smiled and laughed.
"Really?" Grace said intrigued as she lifted one of her eyebrows while she looked at Rusty.
"No...I was a nerd mostly in college but...I had a few good relationships...Heh..." Rusty said happily.
"Oh...Good for you...We need to get going so I hope you get better soon." Grace said kindly.
"Thanks...It was nice meeting you two. Hey...Cap...can you get me some water?" Rusty said weakly.
"Of course Spitter...Bye Grace and Tom!" Cappie said smiling as he grabbed a cup from the counter and he waved at Ricky and Grace as they left the room.
"So...Ashleigh misses you..." Casey said awkwardly.
"She...does?" Rusty said intrigued.
"As a friend...I know you two went through a lot the last time you saw each other..." Casey said sadly.
"Case...Just don't...He's been through enough..." Cappie said seriously as he gave Rusty a cup of water.
"No...It's ok...She's right...Ash and I did go through a lot...And...I'm ready to move on..." Rusty said honestly after he took a drink of his water.
"Oh...I'm glad to hear that..." Casey said sweetly.
"Yeah...I heard you talking about some guy named Omar while I was asleep..." Rusty said concerned.
"Heh...You did?" Casey said concerned.
"I remember him...You went to high school with him right?" Rusty said intrigued.
"Yes I did...We were just friends...He's married now and lives in New York...His wife is pregnant too and I sent them a card and some money." Casey said kindly.
"Wow...That's really exciting...When are you two gonna tie the knot? I think it's about time." Rusty said smiling.
"Oh...I don't know...Maybe when Cappie proposes to me." Casey said sarcastically.
"Heh...Oh...Don't worry...I'll propose to you when I'm good and ready." Cappie said honestly.
"Take your time Cap...I'm in no rush..." Casey said nicely and she gave Cappie a short kiss.
"Ok...You two can go get a room now...Ha ha..." Rusty said happily.
"Rush...Heh...Every time someone says that I think of rushing for KT...Freshmen year...Those were good times..." Cappie said grinning.
"Yeah and the last few years have been amazing too." Casey said smiling.
Meanwhile Grace and Ricky were walking back towards the butcher shop.
"What is it with almost every guy we meet hitting on you?" Ricky said sarcastically.
"Heh...I don't know...I think Rusty was joking though...He seemed really nice..." Grace said sweetly.
"Yeah...I'm just glad he's doing better...And I saw you looking at that doctor..." Ricky said concerned.
"What doctor?" Grace asked nervously.
"The tall one with brown hair and blue eyes..." Ricky said smiling.
"Oh...Yeah...He was handsome but...I think he had a wedding band on..." Grace said honestly.
"It's ok, Grace...I check out other girls too..." Ricky smirked.
"What? When?" Grace said surprised.
"At work...Every once in awhile a pretty girl comes in but of course they don't compare to you." Ricky said happily.
"Ha ha...Very funny...Where are we going?" Grace said kindly as she rolled her eyes.
"I have a surprise for you since you helped Rusty." Ricky said happily as he drove past the butcher shop.
Ten minutes later Grace and Ricky arrived at the family clinic.
"What are we doing here?" Grace said surprised.
"You'll see." Ricky said smiling and they walked into the clinic.
"Hello...How may I help you?" The lady at the front desk said nicely.
"Hello...Grace Bowman is here to speak with doctor Jackson about an internship..." Ricky said seriously and Grace's jaw dropped as she looked at Ricky.
"All right...You can have a seat..." The lady said smiling as she called doctor Jackson with her office phone.
"Ricky?! You got me an internship job here?" Grace said shocked as they sat down.
"It's the least I could do since you helped me to want to get baptized. And for helping Rusty...I really am proud of you for doing that." Ricky said nicely.
"Heh...Thanks but...I don't know if I can work here...This is where Amy almost got...an abortion..." Grace said sadly.
"That's not all people do here...It's a family clinic..." Ricky said honestly.
"I know but..." Grace said concerned.
"Don't you think that you should get some experience working in a place like this since you want to be a doctor?" Ricky said kindly as he grabbed Grace's hand.
"I guess...An internship is a pretty big deal." Grace said smiling.
Doctor Jackson came out and walked over to Grace and Ricky.
"Hello Grace...It's a pleasure to meet you...Ricky sent me your resume a couple weeks ago...I don't know if you knew..." Doctor Jackson said kindly as he shook Grace's hand.
"Oh...I didn't...He just surprised me by bringing me here..." Grace said happily.
"Heh...That's really great because I would love to offer you an internship job that starts in January. Your resume is very impressive...Your grades are excellent and your SAT score is outstanding...Plus you've done medical camp and I also knew your dad...He was an amazing doctor." Doctor Jackson said honestly.
"Thank you...And my Dad was a great doctor...He loved it..." Grace said sweetly.
"You're welcome...So, what do you say?" Doctor Jackson said smiling.
"Uh...You don't want to interview me, first?" Grace said intrigued.
"There's no need for that...I knew you would be perfect for this job just from reviewing your resume and from hearing so much about you from Marshall...Before he died, I worked with him for a short time and he told me about how passionate you were about becoming a doctor. Is that still true?" Doctor Jackson said seriously.
"Of course it is! I want to be one of the best doctors...My dream is to find a cure for cancer or AIDS or something like that." Grace said kindly.
"Wow...That's really amazing...Here's all the information about the job and you have to turn in these forms before January first. I look forward to working with you soon, Grace...I hope you have a great day." Doctor Jackson said nicely and he walked into a hallway.
"Oh my gosh! I can't believe this! I guess my Dad was more helpful than I thought..." Grace said excited and then concerned.
"Heh...I told you that he loved you no matter what. And you're welcome." Ricky said smiling.
"Wait...You knew that he worked with Doctor Jackson?" Grace said suspiciously.
"No...That was just a coincidence. My Mom knew that he did though since she used to work here." Ricky said kindly.
"Oh...Well...I'm really happy that you helped me get a job, Ricky...I didn't even say I wanted one." Grace said sweetly as they walked out of the clinic.
"Uh...Yes you did...In your diary..." Ricky smirked.
"You read my diary?" Grace said shocked.
"Ha ha...Nope...I just guessed that you said that in your diary..." Ricky said happily.
"Heh...You're so clever...Let's get some dinner to celebrate! I'm hungry." Grace said smiling as they got in Ricky's car.
"Sounds good to me." Ricky said kindly as he started his car.
Meanwhile at an ice skating rink...
"You're really good at skating Jack." Chloe said happily.
"Yeah...It is technically a sport and I'm good at almost every sport." Jack said nicely as he skated next to Chloe.
"Heh...That's true...I did want to skate with Brandon but he's busy...I don't know if we'll work out..." Chloe said concerned.
"Why do you say that?" Jack said intrigued.
"Because he's only sixteen and we don't live close to each other...He's really nice but...I just don't know..." Chloe said seriously.
"Oh...Yeah...If you don't like him, then break up with him." Jack said honestly.
"I don't want to hurt him...He's been through a lot...With his family..." Chloe said sadly.
"Listen, Chloe...Don't guilt trip yourself into staying with Brandon just because you feel bad for him...That's why Grace stayed with me after I got beat up..." Jack said concerned.
"You're right...Thanks Jack...And I'm sorry about Grace...and Mickey too..." Chloe said sincerely.
"Don't worry about it...But...I need to apologize to you..." Jack said nicely.
"Apologize to me, for what?" Chloe asked surprised.
"For not really caring about you when we were together..." Jack said sadly.
"Heh...It's ok...I'm just glad that we're friends." Chloe said sweetly.
"Yeah...Me too...Do you want some food or anything? I am pretty hungry." Jack said smiling.
"Sure...A hot dog and slushie sounds good to me." Chloe said nicely and they got off the ice rink.
Meanwhile in New York...
"How are you two doing?" Adrian said nicely as she put turkey, mashed potatoes, corn, and carrots on the table.
"We're doing all right...Were you two...uh..." Ben said nervously.
"Oh...No...We just made out for awhile in Omar's office." Adrian said smiling as she sat down.
"Yeah...Heh...This looks amazing, babe." Omar said happily.
"It does...Let's eat." Amy said smiling as she put food on her plate.
"Um...How was your talk?" Adrian said concerned as she looked at Ben and Amy after putting food on her plate.
"I think...We might have to talk to Ricky...When he comes here for Bob's trial..." Amy said seriously as she started to cut her turkey.
"I see...So...do you want to live with us until then? It's in a couple weeks..." Adrian said worried.
"No...I think we'll be fine by next weekend." Amy said kindly.
"All right...Whatever you two want to do is fine with me...I'm just happy to help." Adrian said smiling and her phone rang.
"Who is it?" Omar said intrigued.
"Oh...It's just Grace...I'll call her later." Adrian said as she turned her phone on silent.
"Do you always ignore Grace's calls?" Ben said surprised.
"No but...she probably just wants to chit chat about Ricky or Jack...Heh..." Adrian said smiling as she rolled her eyes.
"What does she say about Ricky?" Amy said suspiciously.
"That's none of your business, Amy." Adrian said sternly.
"Really?" Amy said a little irritated.
"You have nothing to worry about...She always has wonderful things to say about him...And she just texted me." Adrian said nicely and then a little irritated as she looked at her phone.
"What did she say?" Amy said intrigued.
"Uh...Wow...Ricky got her an internship job at a family clinic...That's amazing!" Adrian said surprised.
"That's great!" Ben said excited.
"Was it at the clinic where I..." Amy said sadly.
"I don't know...Do you want me to ask her?" Adrian said concerned.
"No...It's probably better if I don't know..." Amy said seriously after she ate some of her turkey.
"What are you talking about?" Omar said confused as he looked at Amy.
"Um...I almost...aborted John..." Amy said honestly as her eyes got watery.
"Oh man...I'm sorry...And I'm glad he's here." Omar said sincerely.
"Me too..." Amy smiled slowly as she wiped her eyes.
"It's ok Amy..." Ben said kindly after he wiped his mouth with his napkin.
The next morning in California...
"Today's the big day...Are you ready, Ricky?" Grace said kindly as they walked into church.
"Of course I am...I am really excited to be getting baptized." Ricky said happily.
"Me too...You have to go in that room over there to get your robe..." Grace said sweetly as she pointed at the room.
"All right...I love you." Ricky said smiling and he gave Grace a short kiss.
"I love you too...I'm going to find a seat." Grace said happily and she went to find a seat in the pews.
About twenty minutes later church started and Reverend Stone walked to the front of the church.
"Good morning everyone...I hope you all had a great week and I'm happy to see all of you here today...It is a very special day for a young man named Ricky Underwood. He is getting baptized by me...So I'm going to go to the back so that I can get to the small tub...Ricky...Please come with me." Reverend Stone said kindly as he started to walk towards a door and Ricky got up from his seat and walked over to the door. The organist played some music until Ricky and Reverend Stone where in the tub where everyone could see them.
"All right...This is Ricky...I already said that...Heh...And he came to the church on and off for a few years but recently he started coming regularly and I am thrilled that he has decided to become a Christian...And...I have just one question to ask you Ricky...Have you accepted Jesus Christ into your heart as your Lord and Savior and the one true living God and have you decided to follow Him always?" Reverend Stone said happily as he looked at the church and then seriously as he looked at Ricky.
"Yes...I do..." Ricky said smiling as he looked at Reverend Stone.
"Ricky Underwood...I now baptize you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit." Reverend Stone said kindly as he dumped Ricky quickly into the water and then he helped him come back up and the church clapped for him.
"All right...You can go get dry now, son...Congratulations." Reverend Stone said happily.
"Thank you Reverend Stone..." Ricky said smiling as he got of the tub.
"I will be back out shortly...Please stand to sing some hymns..." Reverend Stone said nicely and he got out of the tub.
"I'm so proud of him..." Kathleen said sweetly.
"Me too...He sure has come a long way...And I'm proud of you too, Grace." George said happily.
"Thanks George...I'm really happy for Ricky..." Grace said kindly as she wiped her eyes.
"Is there something wrong, honey?" Kathleen said concerned.
"It's nothing...I just wish Dad was here to see this..." Grace said sincerely.
"I'm sure he's watching from up above...And I'm sure he's proud of you and Ricky too..." George said smiling.
"He defiantly is...I'm really happy for Ricky too..." Jack said kindly from behind Grace.
"Yeah...I'm glad you guys came." Grace said sweetly as she turned around.
"We wouldn't miss it for the world...I'm really proud of you two..." Chloe said happily.
Ricky walked back over to them.
"Congratulations Ricky! I'm so happy for you!" Grace said excited and she hugged Ricky.
"I know...Thanks Grace...And I'm glad you guys came too..." Ricky said smiling as he hugged Grace tightly and then he let go of her.
"We're happy to be here for you, Ricky. Congrats man." Jack said kindly.
"Yeah...I'm really glad you got baptized too..." Chloe said smiling.
"Guys! We have to...sing...hymns..." Tom said sternly.
Everyone laughed and they started to sing hymns.
Yay for Ricky! He finally got baptized! What's going to happen next? Is Adrian's therapy working for Amy and Ben or should they talk to Ricky before he comes to New York for Bob's trial? How did Madison's date with Jason go and will she pick him over Jesse? Who shot Rusty? Are Casey and Cappie going to get engaged? How is Grace working at the clinic going to go? That won't be for awhile though. Is Chloe going to break up with Brandon? Ethan and Kathy will be back in the next chapter too! Let me know what you think! Thank you! :)
