Maggie Walsh and Colonel Mcnamara observed Spike through the security cameras. This was an un-qualified success. This vampire was still evil, but he was now unable to hurt any human without intense neurological pain. Walsh assured the colonel that this chip they'd put in Spike would also work with Adam. This was important to Colonel Mcnamara, if they were creating this weapon they didn't want it to be able to kill civilians. In a sense this might defeat the purpose of this experiment. Adam could kill America's enemies without danger to American soldiers or foreign civilians. But Walsh was at least a decade away from a chip that would allow the subject to kill enemy combatants, but not civilians or Americans. Still, they knew this ws a good start.
