Chapter 12: Fallen too deep

"Morning cook."
Sanji turned to him, a smile on his face.
It was like all the other smiles, kind and gentle, but there was more to this smile, it was filled with love, longing and…lust?
"Morning Zoro~"

Zoro gulped at the seductive tone of the blondes voice as he dragged out his name, he had never heard the blonde say his name so smoothly like that…
"I was wondering when you were going to wake up..." Sanji swung his hips slightly, walking towards the green haired man, smirking as Zoro's eyes swayed with him.
"W-why?" Zoro choked out, what was up with the cook this morning!?
This was so unlike him!

Sanji wrapped his arms around the man's neck, bringing their bodies closer; Zoro automatically lifted up his hands to the blondes hips, holding on to them.
"Because I have a special morning breakfast just for you~" Sanji sang, sticking out his lips making Zoro notice them. Zoro licked his lips and gulped.
"Sp-special breakfast?"

The blonde nodded, bringing his head towards Zoro's ear and whispering. "Me."
Sanji chuckled as Zoro's ears lit bright red.
"The...the others will be awake soon..." Zoro choked out once more, was it getting really hot in here?
"Oh there's no need to worry about them..." Sanji nibbled on Zoro's ear, feeling him tense up suddenly. Oh god, Sanji would never do this! This couldn't be real right now!
"Why don't you help fuck my memories back into me? We'll create a new memory together Zoro-Kun..." He was now kissing along Zoro's jawline.

Zoro's heart was beating furiously, did Sanji even know what he was saying right now?!
"Or are you not man enough to handle me...?" Sanji purred.
Zoro growled all thoughts of this not being Sanji escaping his mind.
Not man enough? Oh he was going to show the blonde how man enough he was.
He dived down, roughly capturing Sanji's lips in his, pushing his tongue into his cavern, twisting and turning against the other as he fought for dominance against the blonde's tongue. Sanji fought back as much as he could, but finally gave into the other, allowing him to have control as he searched his mouth.

Sanji moaned in the back of his throat. Grinding his hips against Zoro's, who broke the kiss and pulled Sanji's head back roughly with his hand in his hair so he could latch his mouth to the blondes neck, guiding the blonde towards and counter, pushing him against it.
He continued to suck and kiss the blonde's delicious milky white skin.
"I love you Sanji." Zoro groaned as he ground his hips in the blondes, taking in the sweet sounds of the man pinned between him and the counter. His hands roaming around Sanji body, slowly finding their way under the blondes shirt and slowly travelling to the rim of Sanji's black trousers.
He continued to suck and kiss Sanji's neck as his hands reached down into the blonde's pants…

Zoro woke up suddenly. Fuck fuck fuck. It wasn't real but fuck it felt so real!
But it had finished early, it had finished way too early before Zoro could do anything!

Zoro shuffled himself slightly and moaned, god he was hard. He stumbled out of bed as best and quietly as he could before he made his way to the bathroom. He needed a shower; a cold shower to solve his problem.

He pushed open the first door to the bathroom and took off his shirt throwing it roughly into a corner, before he slowly went to take off his trousers.

"Zoro?"

Zoro pressed himself against the wall - holding his trousers up - in a panic. That was a very familiar baritone voice who he had just finished dreaming about where he was moments from fucking him and telling him that he loved him.
Zoro turned his head to look over his shoulder and at the blonde, a heavy blush already on his tanned cheeks. His eyes widened as they settled on Sanji, his golden locks dripping wet. The water trailing down his smooth milky white skin and over the muscles on his arms and chest. A towel hung loosely around the blondes hips, threatening to fall and Zoro couldn't help but thank and curse that damned towel.

Zoro felt the rest of his remaining blood rush to his groin, making it incredibly painful for him.
"…Sanji…" Zoro mumbled, forcing himself to look at blue eyes the only place he felt safe looking at the blonde. He had been wrong though, the blue eyes were pulling him in again.
He gulped, his nails curling towards the wall. "I…wanted a shower…"

"Sorry, it was occupied…" Sanji raised his eyebrow, "Aew you okay?"
"You done in there?"

Sanji looked behind himself and at the door.
"Uh, yeah…" and just like that, the moment he had said yes, a green blur rushed past, slamming the door, leaving a puzzled blonde to wonder what the hell had just happened.

Unknown to Sanji, Zoro was on the other side of the door trying to rid the image of the naked blonde who's bloody towel had censored that one important detail of the man.
This was wrong, not only had he tried to kiss the blonde, now he was dreaming of him, they were just nakama. Only nakama.

His mind was starting to wonder if this was a curse on Sanji or, like his dream had said, was he in love with the blonde?

Did he really like Sanji?

"Woohoo! Festival!" Luffy shouted at the top of his lungs. "Buffet!"

"Festival Festival! Festival! Buffet!" Chopper, Ussop and Franky began to sing with the occasional "Meat!" being shouted in with Luffy singing. They held each other as they kicked their legs side to side in unison.

"We're going now?" Sanji questioned turning to Nami and Robin for answers, they had only just had breakfast but everyone was chanting about going now, didn't they say it was in the night?
"Oh yes, Sanji-kun, So come with Robin and I to get you ready!"
"Uh yes…" Sanji stiffly smiled back at the orange haired woman, why weren't the other male members of the crew being told to dress up.
"You guys, get ready too!" Nami ordered glaring at the rest of the crew. Zoro stood forward glaring at Nami. "Why are you taking the cook? He can great ready with us."
"We got something special for him!" Nami smiled pushing the blonde away from them all and towards the women's quarters.

The guys stood around in their own suits, suits they had gotten from a previous island as they waited for the remaining three to come down. Zoro pulled at his tie, why were those two evil women dressing Sanji up, it pissed him off that they were helping him. Zoro could have easily helped him.

Sanji came down slowly with Nami and Robin behind him as they were observing Zoro's reaction to the cook's attire, chuckling quietly as Zoro's mouth opened ever so slowly.
"How come Sanji get's to wear something new?" Ussop asked.
"No fair…" Luffy pouted,
"Look's super good on Sanji-Bro!"

They all looked at the full white and gold outfit of the blond from his neck to his feet, slim fit to show off his slim figure and long legs. The long white cloak and shoulder pads flying behind him as he walked towards them, stopping right in front of them all.
"Doesn't Sanji look amazing?" Nami said.
Zoro coughed, "He looks like some sort of general or Marine or something…"
Robin nodded, "We dressed cook-san like the hero, he was said to be blonde as well, so we thought this would be perfect for cook-san."
"You really do look cool like that Sanji!" Luffy shouted jumping up and down.
"Like a knight!" Chopper shouted as well, his eyes shining.
"A prince?" Sanji asked, and they all nodded as well.

Zoro wanted to shout out what he thought, that Sanji was god damn sexy in the outfit but he kept his mouth shut. Sanji walked up to Zoro as the others began to make way towards the village.
"You looking forward to the festival?"
Zoro huffed at the question. As if. Who in their right mind would want to be in a crowd of people being shoved around by god knows who, doing god know what all for some stupid celebration of some stupid reason that they didn't even probably believe in.

At least, that's what he had wanted to say but the moment he saw Sanji's blue eyes in that breath taking outfit, he couldn't bring him self to say it.
"Yeah, I'm looking forward to it."
Sanji smiled and laughed slightly.

"Wait, we're all going to town?" Zoro asked. "Well, I'll stay behind to watch the ship."
"Zoro's being boring!" Shouted Luffy as he landed on the sand below.
"Yeh come on Zoro-bro! It'll be SUPER!"
"Yo ho ho, oh how fine it'll be to hear their melody!"
Nami put her hand on her hip and sighed. "Just come with us Zoro, I think our ship will be fine."

Zoro still wanted to say no, he had a bad feeling that something might happen, but then again, the witch did have a point, so far no other ships or people have come to this dock, so another night would be the same right? But still the nagging feeling remained.
Zoro glanced at Sanji, he scratched his head and sighed. "Alright then, I'll come too."
"I remember the time when I was crowned King…"
Chopper's ears piqued, listening to Ussop who began to tell him about the time he had been a king at a festival because he had saved the village from a four headed beast that had been half snake and half wolf. Chopper listened with awe at how brave Ussop had been.

"Ah cook!" Zoro quickly called, noticing that Sanji was walking away from him and over to the stall that was making some food, the smell wafting through the air was amazing nice, but Zoro had smelled better.
He stood behind Sanji and looked at the food, what was it?
He watched as the blonde took some and ate it, his blue eyes lighting up, he turned to Zoro, a child like look on his face. It was like Zoro was staring at the young ten year old in the photo, he couldn't help but smile at it and at Sanji's excitement. He opened his mouth to speak but a thundering of a drum stopped him, the drumming got louder and more instruments began to play as well.

"Oh wow!" Sanji gasped, staring at the street performance that had just begun, dancing past them, telling a story of a war and a hero who had defeated them all.
Zoro frowned, he could see Sanji's lips moving but he couldn't hear him he didn't hear, he couldn't hear anything but the loud music as the performers performed as well as all the screaming and shouting from the crowd around them.
Zoro sighed, he kind of wished he had just stayed on the ship.

The day continued like this, the duo walking around the village and celebrating happily together after having been separated from the others.
"Aw! Zoro look at the toy pandabbit!" Sanji shouted pointing at a toy stall.
Zoro smirked, pulling Sanji with him to it. "I'll win it for you."

Sanji blinked, he wanted to say that he could get it himself, but Zoro was already winning it and before he knew it, Zoro was holding it, smiling down at him. It continued like that until Sanji had gotten quite a few toys he had kept pointing at. Which in the end, Zoro carried most of them.

Eventually, a few children had noticed them and had ran over to them, interrupting them.
"Mister! Mister! Can you win us some too?" They chanted in unison. Zoro nodded, he won them the toys they each wanted and each time he smiled at them, he would crouch down to give them to them, his large hand ruffling their hair. Sanji had found the scene sweet, his heart fluttering each time.
"Thank you mister!"

"Zoro! Zoro!"
Said man looked up from the last kid and at Sanji. "What is it cook?"
"C'mon on, let's go on that!" Sanji grabbed zoro by his arm and pulled him with him, still holding on to their prizes. Zoro protested, he did not want to go on that ride. No way in hell, the blonde couldn't make him.
"Scared Marimo?"
"No way! C'mon shitty cook!" Zoro shouted dragging the blonde and the prizes with them and onto the empty seat rides. They continued going on ride after ride with Sanji buying each picture of them for his memories. The funniest for him was the photo where they were upside down and the Marimo looked like he was going to faint, his face green.
Sanji had burst into a fit of laughter at the picture, saying that the Marimo was officially fully green.

Once Sanji calmed down from his laughter, and Zoro no longer felt sick, he pointed at a haunted house. "Let's go shit cook!"
"Eh? no way in hell!" Sanji shouted attempting to walk away.
"Pussy…"
Sanji paused in his step and turned to the Marimo, glaring. "What did you just say?"
"Meow…" Zoro smirked, watching as the blonde came at him, dragging him to the haunted house.
As they went through the house, Sanji occasionally flinching, neither one actually screaming until a fake spider had landed on Sanji whose scream had been heard from miles away. Zoro had merely squatted it away and hugged Sanji close to him, guiding him through the house until they were out of it.

They stood by another food stall, picking out what they could eat.
"You got a break from cooking." Zoro spoke up to Sanji, hiding down the blush he could feel wanting to show every time he looked at the blonde. The outfit suited and fit him too correctly it was giving him ideas.
Sanji smiled, it was nice finally having Zoro talk to him instead of ignoring like yesterday. What had happened yesterday?

"Yeah, I feel slightly relieved."
"So do I, my taste buds finally had a break from your shitty food and had something real."
Sanji knew Zoro was messing with him from the smirk on Zoro's face, so he shoved him to the side gently and playfully.
"Heh, I thought you loved my shit food, stupid Marimo."

Zoro shoved him back, a little harder than the cook had. "As if curly brow!"
"Grass head!" Sanji shoved harder as well.
"Pervy cook!"

They continued to shove at each other, until a screeching sound erupted throughout the sky before a loud bang thundered. Bright colours flashed, stopping Zoro and Sanji from their previous actions, catching their attention.
"Fireworks?" Sanji whispered watching them in awe. They were so beautiful despite being during the day time, they were like neon colours.
Zoro looked away from the fireworks and at Sanji.
"Yeh, they're beautiful."
He looked at the fireworks once more just as they ended, it had only been a short display probably a small starting event to start the festival for the day. He could hear the whines of young children, disappointed that it had finished.

Zoro was glad he didn't stay on the ship, he was glad this day had happened, it was the best day he had. He enjoyed the blonde's company despite trying to hide from the blonde yesterday, regretting it, and he now had to admit, he no longer could put the blame on the sea witch for cursing him or anything.

Not anymore at least. He was now certain that he had something for Sanji. That he was in love with the cook.

Zoro felt his clothes being tugged at, he looked down and saw Chopper. Chopper was saying something but he couldn't hear, so he lifted Chopper up closer to him.
"I lost everyone!"
Zoro grinned. Ha, and everyone told him it was always him getting lost, he knew better though, he knew it was actually them.
"Don't worry Chopper!" Zoro shouted back to Chopper. "We'll find them, I've got Sanji here."
"Where?!" Chopper shouted back over the music.

Zoro turned to where Sanji was standing. Correction, where he had been standing. The blonde no longer stood there and he was no where in sight, he looked around and over as many people as he could, but no blonde hair stood out.
Shit.
Sanji's going to be lost.

Damn it, he ended up ditching Zoro after a group of kids had dragged him with them, saying he looked just like the hero of their small village. He ended up hanging with the kids and dancing with them, many of them being young girls who could help but giggle. Many adults had also pulled him to aside telling him how much he resembled the hero of their town.

Did Zoro hate him again now? He didn't want Zoro to hate him and ignore him again like yesterday, he had to apologise to him quickly, but where could he be? He said good bye to the children and ran through the crowd and back to where he had first left Zoro, but he wasn't there.

'I'll stay behind to watch the ship.'

That's it!
Zoro didn't want to go to the festival in the first place, so there was a likely chance he probably just headed back when he couldn't find Sanji or just to check on it quickly. If Sanji ran there now, he would catch up to the swordsman.
Sanji pushed through to the crowd and out of the town, running towards the ship, it was dark except for the crows nest, there was some light. That must be Zoro.

Sanji climbed his way up and into the crows nest…

"Hey Zoro!"
Zoro turned around to see the owner of voice that was calling out to him.
It was the witch with a -You're going to owe me- smile.
"Nami!" Chopper shouted smiling at the orange haired woman, thankful at finding someone else in the crew.
"Hello Chopper," she turned to face Zoro again, "Gotten yourself lost, have we? Want me to help you…for 30,000 beri's"
Zoro growled down, speaking through gritted teeth. "I. Am. Not. Lost!"
Chopper watched the exchange between the two.
She 'hmphed' at him, pouting her lips. "Whatever you say."
"Have you seen Sanji?"
Nami looked at him, her expression changing. "Why do you want to know where he is?"
"Do you know or not?"
"Maybe I do, maybe I don't…" Nami held her hand out to Zoro, smiling a innocent smile but it slowly faded…

…upon the view at front of him, it was empty, there was no one there and yet the light was on?
Sanji walked slowly towards the window and the seats, he could see the indent created by someone who had been seated here recently, he continued to stare at the seat as he felt chills run up his spine…he was being watched…he glanced up to the window and in the corner of his eye, he saw a reflection of something moving behind him. He spun around to confront the intruder. It couldn't be Zoro or any one else, they wouldn't hide, not on their own ship.

"Who-!" Before he could finish his shout, his eyes widened in shock, it was too late for him to react and he had been hit by a flying object. It had been Zoro's heaviest weight and someone had obviously thrown it at him, sending him out of the window and down to the deck of the thousand sunny.

He had heard the crunching sound of his ribs breaking, shattering into little piece's inside him as he fell away from the weight mid air. His world went black for a split second as his head smacked against the floor.
He groaned, the pain soaring through his body, he could hear slight thuds around him but the buzzing in his ears were louder than anything else. The pain shot through his body once more as he attempted to move, he was struggling to get up but forced it upon himself to stand up and see his attackers.
He spat the blood out from his mouth, glaring at them.

"You know…I don't like to be humiliated twice…let alone once…" The pirate spoke slowly but deeply, a murderous aura around him.
"You shouldn't give the opportunity to be humiliated then." Sanji retorted back, his hearing and sight focusing after the hit to his head.
The man looked down at him, smirking at the blonde…

"So you don't know where Sanji is?"
"No, I don't. I haven't seen him all night." Nami frowned. "Do you think…?
"The stupid cook's probably alright."
Nami wanted to take Zoro's word for it and she would have if Zoro's voice didn't sound so unsure either.
"Here, Chopper, stay with Nami if you want to play more. I'm heading back to the ship."
"You're giving up looking for Sanji?" Chopper asked leaving Zoro and going to Nami.
"Yeah…" Zoro mumbled turning and walking away, heading back to the ship, forget finding Sanji, if he's lost he's probably having fun anyway and will probably find the others eventually.

Many of the enemy's crew had surrounded Sanji, the ship was now filled with them and more piling on. Sanji kicked them, swinging his body around on one foot as the other leg hit them all, sending them flying away from him and with smooth and graceful movements he dodged them all, retaliating with ease. After that little practice with Zoro, they all seemed weak.

And, Sanji wanted to taunt them for that, if he hadn't just gotten hit from an attacker from above. "We planned ahead blonde! We know your moves now!"
The enemy kicked him in the ribs sending Sanji flying through the ship. He winced, gasping for breath, fuck that hit had hurt, it really didn't help much that he had Zoro's weight hit him already, just how the hell does he lift those anyway?

He stood up once more, trying to ignore the urge to fall back down in pain, he had to protect the ship and himself but just as he stood up, the same enemy was beside him kicking him in the back and sending him through the air and into the cold waters.

Sanji panicked, swimming to the surface as fast as he could, just as he surfaced he gasped for air but was immediately attacked by another pirate who dragged him down into the water once more. They really had planned it, when did these shits know the area and their ship?

He struggled against the man, trying to push him off and away but it was no use, more and more pirates joined in the fun, attempting to drag him down as well. They were trying to drown him.
Sanji relaxed his body, letting the men take him down, his gaze fell over their shoulders where he could see the woman. She was watching him, she was watching them drown him in shock, her eyes wide. The men released him and swam up to the surface, letting him slowly float down, no energy left in Sanji's body.

Was she waiting until he drowned? Was she going to save him again? But there's nothing left for her to take, she had his memories already. Did she want his life now?
Of course, she was going to take his life sooner or later, but now?
Sanji glared at her as she reached out towards him, an expression on her face as if she was crying.
'If I'm going to die, I'm going to die with my memories!'
New found energy rose deep within in him and he swam up and out of the ocean, high into the air surprising the pirates around him who had thought he had finally died, that they finally had their revenge.

He landed back on the ship, his blonde hair dripping wet. Each little drip hitting the floor boards.
Drip. Drip Drip.
He looked up, piercing blue eyes glaring at them. Everyone remained motionless, watching one another to see who would make the first move of attack and of course, the enemy had, Sanji lunged forward as well. They were playing chicken, daring to see who the first was to bail. Sanji was the first as he dodged to the side, but it had been his plan, his hands brushed against one of the enemy's knifes, pulling it out of its sheath as well as another as he spun.

He stood strong with two knifes in his hands, gripping them tightly. He breathed deeply, reminding himself that it would be just like cooking. The other pirates widened their eyes, they swore that as the blonde stood strong at front of them, with his determined gaze, that there was a figure just like him flashing right beside him in the same exact attire but with swords.

Zoro grumbled to himself, just how did the town move around so much? For once, couldn't they just go to a normal town that had a simple lay out and wouldn't move around so much, was it that hard to ask for? He sighed for the umpteenth time, which way was which again? Well, it didn't matter because the town would just spin him around again.

"Zoro!" Zoro was suddenly tackled from behind, he recognised that voice, it was Luffy.
"Ah, Luffy," Zoro greeted him, turning around to see the others. Were they heading back to the ship then? The festival must have ended, they all looked happy and relaxed and ready for a good rest. He began walking with them too as they all talked.
'They must have had a good time.' Zoro mused.
"I thought you were going back to the ship?" Chopper questioned Zoro, tilting his head in confusion.
"I was." Zoro stated.
"Heh, so you were lost…again…" Nami smirked at the green haired swordsman, she was obviously amused.
"Witch…"
"The festival was SUPER!" Shouted Frankie.
"Indeed, yo ho ho, the music was pleasant."
"That's because you were playing Brook" Ussop laughed, "and that was only because I, the great King, granted it so."
"Really Ussop!?" Chopper shouted towards him.
"Of course, you missed it, I was granted king once again."
"I didn't hear anything about there being kings or queens…" Robin spoke thoughtfully, smiling in amusement when Ussop panicked slightly.

The straw hats stopped suddenly, all unspoken words forgotten as they stared at the sight before them with Sanji in the middle, two knifes in his hands. He turned slowly, breathing deeply as his eyes landed on them all. His grip loosened, releasing the knifes, dropping them onto the deck of the ship.

He was breathing heavily as he greeted them. "Welcome back…"
He was tired and exhausted, his body was hurting again. The rest of the crew remained shocked, had Sanji been holding knifes? But he never fought with his hands, ever. Why had he now?

Zoro jumped at Sanji, slicing an enemy right behind him who had been about to strike him from behind. Sanji slowly turned around to face Zoro.
"I thought you went back to the ship when I lost you." Sanji mumbled, "They were here…"
Zoro was furious, he was angry, not at Sanji but at the pirates and himself. If, if he had gotten back to the ship sooner, if the roads hadn't kept changing then he would have been here, he would have fought beside the blonde and he wouldn't have had to fight with his hands.

Zoro grabbed Sanji's hands and looked at them, the gloves weren't ripped, no cuts or anything. Was he able to move them? They weren't broken were they, Chopper would have to check.
"Don't fight with your hands…" Zoro mumbled, feeling a little relieved as he opened and closed them for Sanji. Sanji remained silent, a happy feeling bubbling in his chest. Zoro cared, Zoro had been worried for him. After the festival today and this moment between them, Sanji was so in love with Zoro and now he felt like Zoro was the same. There was nothing between Zoro and Luffy.

"Luffy would go berserk if you, shit cook, had gotten hurt…" 'Luffy would beat the shit out of these guys double time' Zoro thought, 'and so would I…'

Sanji felt his heart stop. Was that why Zoro cared? Then and now? Was it only because Zoro had to look after him that Zoro was with him during the festival? Was it all actually for Luffy?
Everything the Marimo had done for him was actually for Luffy, their captain…
Sanji ignored the rest of the crew as they came on board asking if he was okay as he pushed away from Zoro and ran to bathroom. He didn't want to be there, not now, he couldn't bare to see Luffy who had Zoro's heart.

Not when he had fallen too deep for Zoro.
