Absolom waited for Gwen Raiden. This object was very important for the Master's plan. Absolom thought back upon his life, before and after. He'd been a preacher in life, leading people towards Christ. As a vampire Absolom fell into hos old role, merely preached for evil. In certain underground circles around this country Absolom lured young people into evil. Finally Gwen Raiden returned with the dagger. She'd stolen this from the museum for Absolom's money. As a thief she didn't particularly care who she worked for, as long as they paid. This vampire had always paid in the past, but now things were different. There were only 10 days until the end. They couldn't afford loose ends now. Absolom handed Gwen the money. When he had the dager his men attacked her. Absolom ran off with the dagger. This had to be given to the Master. Hopefully his men could eliminate that thief. But even if they failed those five were expendable. This dagger wasn't.
