Chapter 290
On Thursday evening, shortly after sunset, Xander was spying on Willy's bar. Vampires bought human blood from Willy, this might be a good chance to keep tabs on the town's undead population. This was stupid, but since his break-up with Buffy Xander cared less about his health. But Xander saw what he feared most this night, Jessie. Jessie ws buying a large cooler of blood from Willy, but he was also with a nine year old boy. Jessie was going to kill the child for food. It was dangerous but Xander confronted Jesie, this child should be protected.
Xander: Hello Jessie.
Jessie: Xander, long time no see.
Xander: Let the kid go.
Jessie: Colin, show him your face.
Xander: Okay, the kid's a vampire too.
Jessie: Remember Buffy told us about the kid she found, the night she encountered the anointed one.
Xander: Oh yeah. This is awkward.
Jessie: We're leaving town tonight. I don't really know what the Master's plan is exactly, but it will involve all of us dying. Me and Colin are getting as far away as possible.
Xander: So, I should let you go?
Jessie: I could beat you up when I was human. What do you think?
Xander: I think I should probably dust you. I just don't want to kill you.
Jessie: I don't want to kill you either, or Willow. Especially after what happenned to Cordelia.
Xander: Okay. You two leave town, never kill a human, and I won't tell Buffy I saw you.
Jessie: Thanks. Take care Xander. You should leave town too, be safer.
Xander: Thanks, but I prefer to stay here, help fight evil. Try to prevent what happenned to you from hppenning to others.
Jessie: Okay then. Just be careful.
Xander: You too.
Jessie took Colin away. He feared that if he and Xander ever saw each other again, one of them would kill the other.
