Chapter 299
Spike had a plan to escape. When one of these guards came to bring him blood Spike would steal their keycard. These keycards were neccessary to open the doors in this place. The plan might involve hitting guards, which would mean great pain. But Spike had to temporarily ignore the pain. The opportunity arrived and Spike took it. The pain was great, but he had to get out of this place. He would either escape, or die trying. But after all this pain and isolation, either of those options would be an improvement.
