Ash's Journey Through Hoenn (BEING REWRITTEN)

When he parts ways with Brock and Misty after his defeat in the Johto League, Ash has an epiphany that makes him realise what he has to do if he really wants to achieve his dream. Three months later he travels to Hoenn and starts taking his first steps on the path to be the Pokémon Master he has always dreamt of being. (REWRITE IN PROGRESS)

51. SUPER IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT PLEASE READ

Hi guys,

So I'm sure you're all wondering what does the future hold for Ash's Journey Through Hoenn? Well please remain calm whilst i tell you all and once I'm done you can start writing angry reviews at me... I'm restarting it.

Now before you all start hammering your keyboards and yelling at me just hear me out. I read through the entire story word for word and my god that took a while I'd forgotten how much I'd written for this story. Did you know this is longer than any of the LOTR books? Crazy right?

Anyway I read through it all and was happy with a lot of it however one glaring flaw became apparent in the story and it started in chapter 12. That's right the OC i wrote into the story is the biggest problem mainly because she changed what the story was meant to be, Ash going alone through a region and relying on himself and his Pokemon.

Now don't get me wrong Salem is a fine character and will make it into the rewrite however she will not be a constant companion and there will be no romance between her and Ash. This will in my opinion be a vast improvement as a lot of time was spent on meaningless fluff between them.

There will be other changes throughout where i believe that something different to the original would be better but apart from that it will remain mostly the same. The Pokemon will probably be the same and most of the "main" events like the Togepi tournament will have only minor changes.
