A big thank you to Anime lover, Just a Cadbury and all silent readers!
Anime lover –I'm glad you like to imagine things before you go to sleep. Sadly, I will not be putting up the conclusions of each fight. This is purely so it leaves it up to the imagination. At the same time it might ruin the story for others and even though I like to try and make all my readers happy, there are very few requests I cannot do; this is one of them.
Just a Cadbury – The more you know!

Killua's family lives in an entirely different world to the rest of us and I can't help but to think that was the reason why Killua left the life behind him in the first place. That hunting dog is terrifying… I don't understand or know this world, but I do know this; me and Gon will save Killua!
I had followed Zebro closely to a house in the forest. The downstairs lights were on, indicating people were in. After all, there was no need to leave them on to fool people into thinking they were home; not with Mike about. I had let go of my brothers hand and my vision returned to normal, I stayed close by him though, not really happy about wondering through a forest with that giant hunting dog running about. I apologised for squeezing my brothers' hand tightly and he said it was fine; at least I didn't have long finger nails. We stopped outside the house as Zebro turned to face us.
"Here are the servant's quarters. It's getting late. So you can stay here tonight." Zebro said as he placed a hand onto the door and smiled at us. The same kind smile he gave when we were talking to him before the sun vanished completely. He turned around and pushed the door open. It scrapped across the floor. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow slightly, how heavy was the door for it to do that?
"Please come in." Zebro said as he walked into the servant's house. Zebro stayed by the door and began shouting through the house.
"Hey, I'm back!" He shouted. A man with brown chin fuzzy looking hair walked into the front room from the stairs. He had a cigarette in his mouth. He wore an orange coat with a cream fur like collar, black shirt and cream trousers. He looked at us before looking back at Zebro.
"Oh, you rarely bring guests." He said as he stared at us, looking bored. He kept a hand onto the stair rail.
"This is Seaquant. He works here with me." Zebro explained to us as we continued to watch him back.
"Good evening." Gon said to him happily. Seaquant stared at us for a little while before closing his eyes and walked fully off the steps with his hands in his pockets. We watched him walk away from us.
"If you managed to win over Zebro, you must be special." Seaquant said to us. Did that mean Zebro was really picky? He didn't come off as really picky. Seaquant waved his hand in the air next to his face as he walked through the door.
"Well, make yourselves at home. Though it won't be easy here." He said making us look at him in question. What did he mean by that?
We followed him into another room and sat at the table. I sat next to Gon and Zebro, sitting in the middle of them. I was actually glad for once for being quite small, I would have felt bad not allowed anywhere for Zebro to sit in his own house. I sat my bag under the table slightly so that it was out of the way from everyone's feet. Kurapika and Leorio sat on the opposite side of us. Zebro poured green tea into white cups. He set the teapot down with a thump. I looked at it shocked and with wide eyes. Was it that heavy?
"You want to see young Killua?" Seaquant said to us and laughed, making me lean forward with my hands gripping onto the seat edge of the chair and turn my head to see him. He leaned against the wall with his arms crossed over his chest and eyes closed as he laughed.
"That's a riot!" He said after he finished laughing. Leorio raised his hand near his face.
"Sorry. But we're dead serious." Leorio said to him angrily.
"Then let me give you a warning: Give up, and go home." Seaquant said to us. I furrowed my brows at him, that wasn't very nice advice. I didn't want to do that. I saw my brother and Leorio turn in their seats and glare at Seaquant.
"What was that?!" Leorio demanded from him. Seaquant turned his head slightly to face the two of them
"Zebro told you about the Testing Gate, right? That should give you an idea of what this place is like." Seaquant said to him, glaring at Leorio himself.
"We understand that it won't be easy. But we're not leaving. Not until we see Killua!" Gon said looking away from the table and up to Seaquant. Seaquant looked slightly taken back by his words. Gon looked back down to the table and me, Kurapika and Leorio all looked at him.
"When Killua was in trouble I wasn't there for him and Mishka tried her best." Gon said as he paused to think over something. He lowered his head slightly more, glaring at the table.
"If I had been there too, we could have stopped Killua!" Gon said, making my brother and Leorio look away. There was a silence in the air as Gon furrowed his brows, looking sadly at the table instead of glaring at it.
"Killua is our close friend!" Gon said looking up again. I nodded my head in agreement, showing that I agreed with everything he said. I couldn't really add any words to his sentence; Gon had said everything for us.
There was another silence in the air until Zebro laughed slightly to himself.
"We understand. Then why not do some training here?" Zebro said as he turned he's head towards us. I leaned back so Gon could look at him as well and placed my hands in my lap as I stared at him wide eyed.
"Training?" We both asked him at the same time, wondering what he meant by training.
"Hey, Zebro…"Seaquant began saying to him but trailed off instead. Zebro turned to me and Gon some more as we looked up to him.
"Listen to me, Gon, Mishka. You four are allowed to work together to open the door. With a little training, it should be possible. How about it?" Zebro said to us and opened his eyes with a gentle smile on his face. Gon turned his head away from Zebro and glared at the table.
"I don't like the idea of being tested…" Gon said as he looked up to my brother and Leorio.
"But if there is no other way…" My brother began saying with a smirk on his face.
"We'll just have to do it!" Leorio said, smiling widely himself as he sat up straight.
"And show his family that we are his friends!" I said myself, smiling widely myself as I leaned forward as well, putting my hands back onto the seat edge and gripping it tightly.
"Yep!" Gon said and nodded his head smiling at my brother and Leorio before turning his head and smiling at me making me smile back wider.
"Then I'll need you to put these on." Zebro said making the rest of us look at him.
We watched him stand up and walk out of the room. Me and Gon looked at each other questionably before turning her hers back around to see Zebro walking back with black vests. It looked like they had a lot of pockets.
"You'll need to stand up." He said to us. We all stood up and walked away from the couches and table. Standing in a line Zebro passed me, Gon, my brother, and Leorio a jacket each. I dropped instantly after taking a hold of the jacket and squeaked from the sudden drop as I held it with two hands by one of the shoulders. The jacket hit the floor with a thud as I sat on the floor with my legs either side of me and bent at the knee. Gon dropped himself and struggled to try and bring it from the floor himself; he could only use one hand though. Gon was luckier then I was and didn't hit the floor hard, instead he bent drop.
"That was really heavy…" I said looking at the jacket before looking over at Leorio. He stomped across the ground and then fell onto his hands and knees heavily, a glare on his face as he looked up at the wall.
"How is this so heavy…" Leorio said as he struggled to keep himself up. I looked up at my brother who was holding the jacket between his arms and close to his chest trying his best not to drop it or fall over as well. He was also glaring at the jacket. I hooked my arms into one of the shoulders and tried lifting it again
"It weighs fifty kilograms. Please wear it at all times, except while you sleep." Zebro said to us making us look like he was mad. Fifty kilograms?! That…that was nearly twice my weight. I had to carry around nearly twice my body weight?! I was going to die, I knew that much. I could feel my face drop as I looked at the jacket before looking back at Zebro. Zebro held the jacket between his fingers and thumbs as if it weighed nothing.
"I'll make it heavier as you get used to it." He said smiling happily at us. Leorio looked at him in disbelief from the floor as I struggled to try and pick it up once more.
We managed to get the jackets on with great difficulty. My brother had to help me as I could just about lift it off the floor, let alone over my head. Gon got given one that zipped up at the side because of his broken arm. It was a little bit funny trying to watch him move his arm in such a way that he didn't knock it accidently with fifty kilograms of jacket. We walked over to the table with difficulty and dropped into the seats. I sat next to Gon and Kurapika as Leorio sat down next to Kurapika. Zebro placed mugs of green tea in front of us. They hit the table with a thud making us stare at them with wide eyes.
"Please have some tea." Zebro said to us as we stared at the mugs. Me, Kurapika and Leorio tried using both our hands to lift up the mug whilst Gon tried his one hand. It wouldn't budge.
"W-what…" Leorio said as we struggled to try and lift the mugs off the table. I took my hands off quickly and pushed my sleeves off from over my hands and tried again wondering if that was the problem, of course, it wasn't and instead my hands burned from the heat coming through the cup. I quickly took my hands off the mug and pulled my sleeves back down from my hands again, stopping at the tips of my fingers and once again tried lifting up my mug.
"This is really heavy too!" I said glaring at the mug as I tried lifting it.
"The cups weigh twenty kilograms. This teapot weights forty kilograms." Zebro said making my brother look at him in shock.
"All furniture and utensils in this house weight over twenty kilograms apiece." Zebro said as me, Gon and Leorio tried lifting up our cups some more. Nothing, I couldn't even get it off the table.
"I see…So this will serve as training." My brother said to Zebro.
We heard Seaquant walking towards us and quickly turned her heads to face him.
"It's useless. They'll give up in two or three days." Seaquant said shrugging his shoulders slightly. I couldn't help but glare at him and looked back to my cup trying to lift it up again.
"What was that?" Leorio said, glaring madly at Seaquant.
"Seaquant, I believe that your shift has already started." Zebro said to him making Seaquant drop his shoulders as he looked at Zebro.
"Oh, that's right…" He said and walked away from us to go and start his shift. I let my hands drop after he left no longer trying to lift up my cup and sighed furrowing my brows. That was much harder than it should have been just for a drink.
"Sorry about that. He isn't a bad person." Zebro said. We looked at Leorio as he laid his hands flat onto the table and began lifting himself up with a struggle.
"By the way, where's the bathroom?" He asked Zebro. Zebro pointed to a door slightly away from us with a smile on his face. I looked over to the door as well. I really needed to go as well, and could feel my legs bouncing slightly under the table.
"Through the door over there." Zebro said to us as Leorio stared at the door.
"I'm guessing that the door is also…" Leorio said as he turned his head back to Zebro. Zebro continued to smile widely at us.
"Yes, it weighs five hundred kilograms." Zebro said as if it was nothing.
"Five hundred…What?! Get out! I can't hold it in!" Leorio said as I closed my eyes tightly and shook my head. That was a lot for a door to weigh, but I could only guess that if you really needed to go you would somehow move the five hundred kilograms. Zebro walked over to the door and opened it with ease; it scrapped across the floor loudly. The three of us looked at Leorio and then the door. We stood up with a struggle and walked over to the door, well it was more like dragging out feet over to the door. Leorio followed closely behind.
"We'll try open the door and you can rush in." My brother said to Leorio as he nodded his head.
"Gon, just watch okay?" My brother asked him as Gon furrowed his brows and nodded his head. I stood in front of my brother and placed my hands onto the door as Gon stood next to me and placed his one good hand on the door. Kurapika placed his hands on the door as did Leorio the same. We all pushed on the door and managed to open it only just a little bit. Leorio took that chance and threw himself into the gap and managed to somehow get himself through the gap as we continued pushing the door.
"Hurry up because I really need to go too!" I shouted through the door.
The next day came quickly to us. We walked out of the forest through the brown doors and stood in front of the testing gate. We were lucky that we hadn't run into Mike, he was scary and I didn't want to see him again. Gon began walking first towards the gate.
"Wait, Gon." Leorio said making Gon stop and turn his head slightly to look at Leorio from over his shoulder.
"You just watch." Leorio said to him as he shoved his hands into his pockets. I looked at Leorio shocked with Gon, wondering why he suggested it.
"Huh? Why?" Gon asked him, wondering the same thing. Gon turned around to face Leorio probably. My brother had told him that yesterday to and never gave him a reason.
"You need to let your arm heal first." My brother explained to him.
"As long as Kurapika, me and Mishka can open it, it doesn't matter. Let us handle this!" Leorio said to him smiling widely to try and make it seem better for Gon. Gon furrowed his brows and lowered his head slightly.
"Okay." He said to them. The three of us walked over to the door. I stood in the middle of my brother and Leorio with my hands on either side of where the door would open. We all leaned forward onto her ours as we got ourselves ready.
"Let's do this, Kurapika, Mishka!" Leorio said with determination in his voice.
"Yeah!" My brother said with the same amount of determination.
"Okay!" I said with determination in my voice as well. We began pushing against the door hard, our arms wobbly as we pushed. Leorio had fallen backwards onto his bottom with his hands behind him as my brother slide down the door onto his knees. I dropped down onto my bottom with my legs either side of me and hands by side with my brows furrowed.
"No use… It won't budge an inch." My brother said, breathing through his sentence.
"Damn! But we just started out training. If we work hard enough, we can do it!" Leorio said as I nodded my head.
"We just have to keep trying!" I said glaring up at the door.
"I wish I could share your optimism." My brother said to us as we all stood up once more.
We began our training once again. Leorio was carrying chairs on his arms as my brother was carrying trays of cups on one hand each whilst standing on one leg. I was given a few books to hold in each hand and could feel myself tipping one side to another every so often. I had even dropped them a couple of times which made me jump as they landed on the floor with a thud. I don't know how much the books weighed each, but I never knew one book could be so heavy. I saw Zebro and Gon come over to make sure I was doing all right. My wrists felt tired and I really wanted to put them down. Once they came over I smiled widely at the two through furrowed brows. Gon smiled back somewhat, I figured he was still sad about not being able to train with us.
The sun started setting once more. Zebro had said that we didn't have to carry things around anymore for today, as we were still training inside the house. I couldn't see Gon anywhere with the group as they wondered back to the house and furrowed my brows. I quietly turned on my heels and decided to try and find him; he couldn't have gone too far. I managed to find him quickly enough, he was a bit away but not so much that it didn't take long to get to him. He was doing push-ups with his good hand. I wondered over to him and stood next to him with my hands behind my back, holding to hands together lightly.
"What you doing?" I asked him raising an eyebrow slightly. I knew he was doing push-ups but why? Maybe to train.
"Training." Gon said simply without taking his eyes off the ground. I made a small "oh" sound and looked to the ground slightly with my eyes before looking back at Gon again.
"Can I watch?" I asked him as he quickly looked up and nodded his head with a small smile.
"Okay." He said and looked back down to the floor again. I smiled to myself slightly and carefully lowered myself to the ground, sitting on my legs. I wanted to try push-ups myself; but my wrists really hurt at the moment and it didn't feel like I could put any weight on them without collapsing. We heard footsteps. Gon looked to his side as I looked up. My brother stood in front of us with his arms crossed as Leorio stood with his hands on his hips; they both looked at us sternly. Gon quickly shifted himself and rubbed the back of his head with his good hand and laughed nervously. I gave a small nervous smile to my brother; I was told that if I saw Gon training I had to stop him, which I didn't as I was watching him.
The day quickly ended and a new one began. This time we were told to pull boulders with our hands tied behind her backs up a slight hill. My brother and Leorio had managed to pull theirs a lot faster than I could; in fact, I was struggling to pull mine at all. Somehow I was doing it though, I was a lot further behind then my brother and Leorio, but I was still pulling it. By time the sun had begun setting we were told to chop wood. Surprisingly, everything was getting a lot easier. Sure I fell backwards a couple of times because I had lifted the axe behind my back a bit too much, but it was getting easier to do.
Night time fell and all of us had gone to bed. Leorio had lazily flung his jacket and tie onto the end of his bed with his shoes and socks lazily at on the floor. My brother had his tabard neatly folded next to him. My dress tabard was neatly folded up and placed on the floor next to my bed with my shoes next to it. I had trouble sleeping; I actually couldn't sleep at all no matter how I tried. It had been like this last night as well. I looked to the bed next to me and saw it empty. Raising an eyebrow slightly I sat up; Gon was gone. I looked at my brother and Leorio, they were both sleeping and Leorio was snoring loudly so it should be easy to get past them. I was about to swung my legs over to get out of bed until I heard the window open and Gon stealth-fully climb in, helping the window down. He turned around and jumped slightly when he was I was awake; I smiled widely at him and waved as he smiled back and walked over to his bed. He took off his shoes and carefully unzipped the weighted jacket to take that off and then took off his normal green jacket. I quickly hopped out of my quilt and sat on my legs as he took off his shoes and then laid onto his bed with his arms spread out.
"Were you training again?" I asked him in a whisper. Gon quickly sat up and held a finger over his lips whilst looking at me sternly. I looked at him questionably as he pointed behind me. Looking behind me I didn't see anything, and realised he was pointing to my brother and Leorio. I turned my head back around and smiled widely.
"It's okay! If big brother trains all day he won't wake up until the morning. And Leorio is snoring really loud." I said to him in whispers as Gon exhaled in relief.
He sat on the edge of his bed with his legs dangling over and nodded his head at my question. I smiled widely at him as I shuffled on my bed. I sat on the edge as well and swung my legs backwards and forwards slightly.
Gon frowned and furrowed his brows as his eyes shifted to the ground.
"I wish I was able to help, but Leorio and Kurapika won't let me." He said to me. I furrowed my brows slightly and smiled widely at him.
"They're worried that you'll hurt your arm even more. But if you've been training I'm sure you'll be fine. As soon as you can move your hand again then you'll be able to help us." I said to him smiling widely. I heard shuffling and turned around to find my brother stirring slightly. Gon and I quickly jumped into our quilts and laid down closing our eyes.
"Must be imagining it, or Leorio's snoring woke me up." I heard my brother mumble. The bed shuffled once more. We both opened our eyes and smiled widely at each other as Gon nodded his head.
"Okay…I'll help as soon as I can move my hand." Gon said with a determined smile as I smiled widely at him and nodded my head. We closed our eyes again to sleep for the rest of the night.
The morning soon came and we stood at the door, pushing it as hard as we could with all our might, standing in the same way we had done when we tried a couple of days ago. The air was foggy today and felt colder. My brother and Leorio shouted loudly as they pushed against the door as I leaned all my weight into the door. We walked back once the door wouldn't budge again and looked up at it. We breathed heavily, it was a lot harder with the extra weight on our shoulders, the jackets were no longer fifty but now up to seventy as we had gotten used to the weight. Leorio placed his hands on his knees as he breathed heavily. Seaquant walked up to us with his arms crossed and cigarette still in his mouth.
"This will never work. You kids need to wake up." He said to us. I couldn't help but glare at him slightly; there was no way I was giving up. Leorio stood up straight and glared at Seaquant himself.
"In that case… you should quit watching us and do your job!" Leorio shouted at Seaquant. Seaquant rolled his eyes as he clicked his tongue.
"Gon is one of us. And him and Mishka wishes to see their friend. It's only right that we should help them." My brother said turning around to face Seaquant. We all faced the door again still determined to open it.
"Okay, let's give it another shot!" Leorio said as I nodded my head quickly and placed my hands on the door.
"Yeah!" Kurapika said as him and Leorio both placed their hands on the door.
We began pushing with all our strength again at the door. I leaned my weight into my hands as well, trying to get the door to open. Our arms shook as we pushed against the door with everything we had.
"Man, you can't just mindlessly push it." Seaquant said making us stop and look at him.
"Match your timing." He said and shoved his hands into his pockets. Seaquant began walking away from us with his head facing the ground after giving us the advice.
"You have to push both doors, with all your strength, simultaneously. Or the gate won't ever open." He said as we watched him walk back to the security checkpoint. The three of us placed our hands onto the door again slowly.
"Match our timing…" Leorio said trailing off.
"And push both doors with all our strength simultaneously…" My brother said trailing off himself.
"Or the gate won't even open…" I said trailing off myself.
"Okay!" Leorio said turning his head to us with a serious look. I looked up to him, looking serious myself as did my brother. The both of us nodded our heads. Looking back at the door again we started preparing ourselves.
"One!" Leorio started.
"Two!" My brother said after him.
"Three!" I said after the both of them as we pushed hard against the door. Our arms began shaking again as we pushed, it felt like mine were going to give way. Pushing with everything we had I felt the door open slightly. It took us by surprise. The door slammed shut once more and sent us flying backwards onto the ground. The three of us landed on our backs.
"Leorio! Kurapika! Mishka!" Gon shouted as he ran over to us. The three of us sat up. I rubbed the back of my head, having hit it on the floor. Kurapika and Leorio looked at Gon with smirks on their faces as I looked up smiling widely.
"It moved." Leorio said to him as Gon smiled widely.
A new day had started and it looked worse than it did yesterday. We spent the rest of our day training and Gon had trained at night whilst everyone else was asleep. We stood in front of the Testing Gate. Leorio hoped from one leg to the other, leaning his weight onto one leg as the other was out stretched. My brother was stretching his arms by pulling one to the opposite side of his body and then using the other arm to across under it, pulling it slightly more. I interlinked my fingers and stretched my arms downwards and then upwards.
"Hey, why don't you try removing those vests today?" Zebro said to us making me smile widely at him.
"Really?!" I said to him and started lifting the vest above my head. Surprisingly, it was easier to take off now. When I first started wearing this, my brother had to help put it on as I had trouble lifting it off the floor, let alone above my head. But now, now I could lift it off with ease.
"Oh? Music to my ears!" Leorio said as he began taking off his jacket as well. Once the three of us had taken off the jackets we dropped them on top of each other. They landed on the ground with a thud and made cracks and a small crater into the concrete.
"Yeah! Without them, we can definitely open the gate now." Leorio said as we walked towards the gate. He twisted his shoulder in a circular motion. We reached the gate and pressed out hands against the door.
"Let's do this, Kurapika! Mishka!" Leorio said as I nodded my head with determination.
"Yeah!" My brother said as Leorio began the count down.
"One…two…" Leorio began as we took a step forward.
"Three!" The three of us shouted and began pushing the door with everything we had once more. Our arms wobbled as we pushed. The door began opening again, this time wider then it was yesterday. If I wasn't careful I was going to full through the middle. We continued pushing but couldn't get it to open any wider than it had done now.
"Damn it… It won't move any farther." Leorio said as we closed our eyes tightly and gritted out teeth.
"One last spurt, Leorio, Mishka…" Kurapika said as he gritted his teeth together once more, keeping his eyes shut tightly.
"Got it!" Leorio said struggling to say anything as we began pushing against the door once more with everything we had.
I heard someone walking up to us and quickly turned my head. Gon placed his hands onto the door quite close to the opening, standing next to Leorio. I quickly threw my shoulder against the door pushing into it with my body and moved over next to my brother but near the opening as well. Quickly I placed my hands back on and began pushing the door again to keep it open. Kurapika and Leorio looked at Gon in shock, wondering why he was using his arm. I couldn't help but smile, even if it did hurt; that meant he was able to move his arm again.
"Gon!" Kurapika said to him looking at him from over the top of me.
"Why are you using your left arm?" Leorio questioned him looking at Gon as well.
"It's okay. My arm's healed now." Gon said as we all continued pushing against the door.
"Healed?" Kurapika asked shocked. I closed my eyes tightly again and gritted my teeth together, my arms became wobbly once more as I continued to push at it trying to get it open.
"Are you sure, Gon?" Leorio asked him.
"Yep! Anyway, we have to push this together, right?" Gon said bringing up the subject at hand once more.
"Right, let's push!" Kurapika said looking back at the door again with Leorio.
"Here we go!" Leorio said, looking at the door with determination.
"One!" My brother started.
"Two!" Leorio continued.
"Three!" Me and Gon shouted at the same time as we pushed against the door with all our strength once more and stepped forward. The door started opening wider and wider. The door opened wide enough to make mine and Gon's hands slip off the door and made us fall through first as we had pushed near the opening of the doors. We both landed on our stomachs not having enough time to catch ourselves.
"Ow…" Gon said as he pushed himself up. I followed suit and turned around, sitting on my bottom with my hands behind me as Gon sat on his hands and knees. My brother and Leorio smiled widely and breathed heavily as they held onto the doors themselves.
"It opened." Gon said looking at the doors in disbelief.
"Yes!" Leorio cheered.
"We did it, Gon, Mishka!" Kurapika said after Leorio, pleased that we had managed to get the door open.
"Uh-huh!" Gon said happily as I nodded my head quickly with a wide smile.
We entered into the forest and made our way back to the servant quarters once more with Zebro following us. We stood in front of Zebro and Seaquant with wide and large smiles on our faces, happy to have gotten through the door. I stood next to Kurapika and Leorio as Gon stood next to Leorio.
"Follow the path, and head for the mountain. The mansion should be somewhere up there. I'm ashamed to admit that even though I've worked here for twenty years, I've never been up the mountain. Sorry that I couldn't be any help." Zebro said to us with an apologetic smile.
"No, that isn't true. You've both been a huge help." Gon said bowing to him. Zebro laughed slightly smiling widely at Gon. Kurapika and Leorio had begun walking away as me and Gon stayed behind quickly.
"Thank you for letting us train at your house!" I said to him smiling widely as Gon nodded his head.
"Thank you for everything! Goodbye!" Gon said as we both began running back to my brother and Leorio. Gon turned around and waved to him as he ran back. The both of us managed to catch up to them quickly and stood in the middle of the two as we walked along the path up to Killua's house. This was it, we were getting closer.
The four of us had been walking for a while up the path. I don't know how long we were walking for, but it must have been a long time. The sun was still up, so maybe it wasn't as long as I thought it was. Soon, we came across a small garden like wall with a single person standing in front of the opening holding a staff with a bright yellow ball on the end. She had dark skin and very puffy looking hair tied into dreadlocks. Her eyes were grey. She wore a purplish suit.
"Leave. You're trespassing on private property. I cannot allow you to pass without permission." She said to us. I looked at her confused, she didn't look much older than me and Gon and she was working for Killua's family?
"We called ahead." Gon said as I nodded my head quickly.
"We came through the testing gate too!" I said as me and Gon took a step forward. As I had said before to my brother, I was sticking with Gon on this one and therefore I would follow as to what he did; if it meant seeing our friend quicker.
"The butlers did not give you permission to enter." She said to us simply making Gon glare at her.
"What do we need to do to get permission? I said we were Killua's friends, but they wouldn't put him on." Gon said to her angrily.
"I wouldn't know. Because no one has ever received permission." She said to us, looking at us blankly and bluntly. Gon looked at her, glaring more than I thought was possible.
"Then we'll have to trespass!" He said to her as I nodded my head.
"I suppose so. In any case, this is where I draw the line." She said and struck her staff into the ground. She drew a line in front of the gate with the yellow ball on the staff. Afterwards she slammed it into the ground again, right in the middle of the line.
"If you take one step beyond this line, I'll remove you by force." She said to us.
Kurapika and Leorio bent down slightly getting defensive. Gon held up his hand to them and looked at me giving me a small nod. I nodded back slightly and took a deep breath. We walked up to her calmly, I had to admit I wondered what she meant by force. She stared at us calmly as we walked forward. Both of us stood over the line at the same time. She thrust her staff hard into Gon's cheek sending him flying back. I looked back quickly and saw Gon land on his back behind my brother and Leorio. Quickly looking forward the staff met the underside of my chin, sending me back through the air as well. I landed on my back and hit the back of my head on the ground. I was sent behind my brother and Leorio as well.
"Gon!" Leorio yelled over.
"Mishka!" I heard my brother yell as they looked forward again.
"Damn it!" Leorio said as the two drew their weapons, ready to attack the butler girl. I sat up and grabbed the back of my head, pressed my knees tightly together and clenched my teeth together with my eyes closed tightly. It felt like my brain bounced all over the place.
"Leorio! Kurapika! Don't interfere. Let us handle this." Gon said as he sat up himself. Gon touched his cheek slightly.
"Ow…" He said and opened an eye to look at the butler girl.
"We don't intend to fight you." Gon said rubbing his face with his sleeve. I lowered my hands from the back of my head and rubbed the underside of my chin with the back of my hand.
"Uh-huh. We only want to see Killua. That's all." I said to her, looking at her myself with a small smile. My brother and Leorio looked at us sternly, shock on their faces as Gon had told them not to interfere.
"It doesn't matter what your motives are. I'm simply following my orders." She said, spinning the staff around with her hands and grabbing it tightly once more. Gon began standing up as I stood up after I stopped rubbing the underside of my chin. She hit hard, really hard. I couldn't decide who hit harder, her or Kai.
Gon dropped his bag off his shoulders. I did the same, I was lucky I didn't land on my Sai's that time, the next time I might have not been so lucky; so not having my bag with me was the best idea. Gon began walking forward first as I followed behind. Gon stepped over the line first only to be hit with the staff. I walked close to her and did the same, only once again to be hit with the staff and sent back. She was dedicated to her orders, I'd give her that. Gon stood up again first and began walking back.
"You can try all you want." She said and slammed Gon in the face again with her staff. I followed next only to have the same thing happen to me once more. She would give up soon, right?
"I'll never let you pass." She said to us after I hit the ground on my back. Gon stood up next and glared at the ground as I began standing up. My face hurt a lot. I didn't understand why she only went for the face, that didn't make sense to me.
"We will pass… We're going to see Killua!" Gon said to her, coughing slightly after being hit in the face so many times. I stepped forward a little bit, my head hurt and I was finding it hard to see straight.
"We're seeing Killua, no matter what gets put in our way." I said to her, looking up at her with a determined look on my face. Gon began walking forward with me following behind. We repeatedly got knocked back. But I wasn't going to give up. I had made two best friends since mine and Kurapika's clan was massacred. Gon and Killua were those two. I was scared around everyone and clung to my brother and it shut me off from everyone as I didn't want to leave my hidey hole being my brothers back or side. Gon and Killua never as much as blinked an eye to my behaviour. Even when my eyes turned red for the first time around them they thought it was cool. I was determined to do anything I could to help them, to help my two best friends through their thick and thins. Right now, it was Killua's thick and thin and I was going to stay by Gon so we could help him together; even as it proved right now, meant getting ourselves beaten.
We continued to get ourselves knocked back all through the day until sunset. Bit of blood laid on the ground from where me and Gon had been hit so much in the head. One of Gon's eyes was bruised and swollen to the point where he couldn't open it. My head hurt, and I had a nose bleed. Every time I touched my nose I had to pull my hand straight away. I could only suspect it was broken. I had small cuts covering my face, but it wasn't going to stop me.
"Stop it." She said as Gon walked over first, staying as calm as he had done before.
"Stay away!" She yelled as I followed Gon , making sure to keep away slightly as a few times he hand landed into me sending up both to the ground or vice versa. Gon stepped over the land only to have his face whacked again. He stayed on his feet, her attacked were getting lighter.
"Cut it out!" She yelled at him as I stepped over the line next receiving a whack to the face. I skidded back myself, yeah they were definitely getting lighter. If I could stay on my feet then she wasn't hitting as hard.
"Don't you two realize how futile this is?! Why don't you stop them? Aren't you their friends?" She yelled over to my brother and Leorio. They looked at her sternly, staying exactly where they were. She furrowed her brows and took a step backwards slightly.
"What's the problem? We're just here to see our friend. We're just here to see Killua! Why do we have to do this?!" Gon yelled and pulled back his fist. He slammed it into the stone pillar next to the butler girl, breaking it into tiny pieces. I stayed where I was, my face feeling numb as I stared at Gon. Gon stepped over the line as he leaned forward.
"Hey. I crossed the line. Aren't you supposed to hit me?" He asked the butler girl. She gripped onto her staff tightly making me take a small step forward. It looked like she was shaking.
"You're different from Mike. You may try to hide your feelings, but you have a heart. When I mentioned Killua, your eyes softened for a moment." Gon said standing up straight. I walked over to them and stood next to him, although slightly shaky as my head was numb and made me feel dizzy. The butler girl furrowed her brows and dropped her head, looking at her hands and staff. A bit of water dropped from her face and landed on her hands, was she crying?
"Please… Help Killua-" She began saying until something hit the side of her head. The butler girls' eyes widened as she fell to the floor unconscious. My eyes widened as my brows furrowed.
"Honestly… What was that servant babbling about? She made it sound like we're being mean to Killua." A woman said standing on top of a hill.
I looked over; she wore a blue dress that had a bell like bottom, bandages around her face and this visor like thing with a red dot in the middle. In her hand was a fan, and in the other was a gun like weapon. Next to her was a little girl wearing a black Kimono and white obi. She had short black hair. We quickly turned her attention to the butler girl. Me and Gon kneeled down first; well I more dropped down onto my knees. Leorio quickly hoped over her and kneeled down himself, putting his brief case next to him. My brother ran over and looked up to the woman.
"You must be Gon and Mishka. I heard about you from Illumi. Killua knows that you're here." She said, holding her fan to her face. Me and Gon looked up to her; Gon was glaring whilst I was trying to get my vision to see straight. It looked like there were several of her and the girl next to her. Who was Illumi? Another one of Killua's family? I pushed the thought to the back of my mind for now, trying not to think about it.
"I have a message for you two from Kil… "Thank you for coming. I really appreciate it. But I can't see you right now. Sorry."" She said to us making my eyes widen and brows furrow. Did Killua really say that? Or was she lying? I couldn't tell, and my head hurt too much to try and make sense from it. Gon and I stood up. I stumbled forward slightly only to land on my brothers arm. I quickly placed my hands on his arm and stood up straight, staring at the woman.
She couldn't be telling the truth, she just couldn't.
