It had been a month since me and my brother started staying with Sarah and her husband Jerome. They were nice people, we did chores and we got fed, they even got us some clothes to sleep in all the time we stayed there; but my brother said we couldn't stay here for long and that we had over stayed our welcome. We had to start moving and start training to get stronger to get back the eyes of our clan. But first we needed to become Hunters…he didn't know how we got a Hunter application card though. Jerome had told us I wouldn't be able to do it anyway, not until I was twelve. When we asked him about it he changed the subject, as if trying to avoid it completely.
I woke up much later then I would have done today. My brother was long gone, his bed being made up and all. I sat up and rubbed my eyes with my hands, wondering where he could have gone. I looked at the clock in the room; it was ten in the morning. I my eyes went wide as I quickly hoped out of bed and got changed into my normal blue and red dress. I quickly slipped on my shoes and rushed out of the door, forgetting to make my bed. As soon as I rushed out of the door I was brought back in by Sarah, her hand firmly on my shoulder.
"You're eager today, but you still need to make your bed." She said as she stood by the door and pushed me inside the room again. I nodded my head and quickly walked over and made my bed. I looked Sarah furrowing my brows slightly.
"How did you know it was messy?" I asked her. The brown haired woman smiled widely at me and tapped the back of her head with her finger.
"We have an eight year old and a nearly thirteen year old living here. You need eyes in the back of your head to make sure they stay out of trouble." She said making me look at her questionably.
"Who are they? When did they come? Are they staying long?" I asked her walking back up to her. She laughed at my questions slightly and nodded her head to the side signalling for me to come follow her.
"I wouldn't worry too much about them." She said to me making me nod my head slightly.
I followed her downstairs and still didn't see my brother anywhere. I furrowed my brows as I looked around the bar for him. Where could he have gone?
"Kurapika is helping Jerome today. The inn's closed for the day for restocking, so you'll be coming into town with me." Sarah said to me making me hunch my shoulders and furrow my brow. I didn't like going into town often, everybody was scary there and they all seemed to know Sarah; so most of the time we ended up talking to them. Not that I minded but I still didn't like going into town with her.
"Can I help big brother and Jerome?" I asked her as she bent down and picked up her bag. She looked at me with an eyebrow raised and began digging through her light blue shopping bag to make sure he had everything.
"They're wood chopping and Jerome's showing him how to catch animals as we need to restock the meat locker. I don't think you'll be too interested in that." She said to me making my face drop and a chill run up my spin. I tried helping Jerome with wood chopping before and only got told to sit and watch as I kept falling over or missing the wood; and I didn't like the idea of hunting. I shook my head quickly making her look back at me and laugh slightly with a wide smile on her face.
"Thought so. You'll be fine, just stick closely to me." She said making me nod my head slightly.
"Uh-huh." I said quietly to her as she began walking towards the door. I quickly followed behind her, sticking closely like she had said.
We had gotten the bus into town. The ride didn't take long; about half an hour. I was more fascinated by the things outside. They changed all the time. The big billboards changed pictures every time I came with Sarah to town. Last month it was a guy with lots of foam around his face and he held something sharp in his hand, taking off all the foam. Today it was a dog, cat and bird all happily eating with a bag of food between them saying "Pet's grub, best grub for your mutt". I didn't understand what that meant and looked at it questionably. I turned my head to Sarah as she sat quietly looking up to the front of the bus.
"Hey, Sarah." I asked her making her turn her head towards me. He looked at me questionably and stayed quiet waiting for me to continue speaking.
"What does mutt mean? That sign says "best grub for your mutt" what does that mea- Hey the signs gone!" I said pointing out the window and turning my head back. The sign was gone! Sarah looked behind her out of the bus window and tapped my shoulder making look at her wide eyes. She pointed to the window behind her. I carefully stood on the chair holding onto the top as tightly as I could. The sign was back there. I pointed at it.
"There! What does mutt mean?" I asked her looking down at her from standing on the seat. She laughed slightly as the bus started coming to a stop making me fall back onto the chair.
"It's a type of dog that is many breeds. Anyway, this is our stop." She said as I nodded my head and pushed myself off the chair to follow her off the bus.
I walked closely behind Sarah as she looked at a piece of paper with everything written down on what she needed. We walked into a giant building. I came here with my brother a few times; he said it's a super market and that I should keep my hands to myself and not touch anything. She sighed to herself and picked up a basket, never taking her eyes off the shopping list.
"Okay, we mostly fruit and vegetables. Some tins and some bread along with a few other things. It shouldn't cost more than four thousand Jenny but I have five thousand just in case…" She said as I watched her closely. She looked down at me and held out the shopping list to me.
"Read off everything that's there and we'll go find them." She said to me. I smiled widely and took the shopping list hesitantly and nodded my head.
We managed to finish the shopping quickly. More quickly than we had done before. Like Sarah said it only cost about four thousand Jenny. We bus journey back was quiet until someone sat next to Sarah. It was the guy who me and my brother met when we first came to her place to find somewhere to sleep for the night.
"Hey Sarah how's you and the kid?" He said sitting down next to her as she nodded her head.
"We're okay." She said to him smiling as I backed away slightly, sliding away from the two. He was quite a strange man, and he made me feel uncomfortable, but maybe that was because he was so up in people's faces. Sarah didn't seem to mind though. He nodded his head and nodded towards me.
"That's good to hear, how's girly there and her brother doing?" He asked making me look at him questionably. She nodded her head once more with a small smile.
"They're doing fine. They're no trouble at all. They've been helping me and Jerome." Sarah said to him as he nodded his head once more and looked over to me smiling widely.
"That's good, that's good…" He said trailing off and looked at Sarah seriously. He whispered something to me making her look back at me slightly and then look back at the man nodding his head. I looked between the two confused as the bus came to a stop. The man looked up to the front of the bus and stood up.
"Well, this is my stop. Call me if you and Jerome need help with kiddie-wink." He said as he walked off the bus.
"Don't worry we'll be fine. See you James." She shouted over smiling to herself. I continued to stare at her questionably until the bus stopped again indicating that we needed to get off.
It was about three by time we got back to Sarah's house. Sarah opened the door and stood still. I looked from behind her and saw my brother and Jerome glaring at each other.
"Why do you want to throw your life away kid? It's stupid!" Jerome yelled at him as my brother stood his ground, not flinching at Jerome's words. I began walking forward to ask my brother what was wrong only to be stopped by a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Sarah shake her head slightly as she kept a hand on my shoulder.
"I get it, you want revenge, or to avenge your fallen clan. I get it! But the Phantom Troupe is a class-A bounty. You will be throwing your and your sister's life away! Do you know how selfish that is?!" Jerome yelled at him once more and slammed his fist onto the counter top as my brother stayed glaring at him, not moving and not flinching.
"It's our decision! They had no right to come and take their eyes; we're getting them back!" My brother yelled back at him as Jerome just glared at him.
Silence fell on all of us. A none-stop glaring match between my brother and Jerome. I looked between. Sarah placed her shopping bags on the floor and began walking over to the two.
"I think we need to calm down and explain what happened and what's going on." Sarah said coming between the two. I bent down and placed the bag I was carrying onto the floor and walked over to my brother who didn't move from his spot. Jerome sighed angrily and turned around quickly before turning around to face my brother, still glaring at him.
"What happened, Jerome?" Sarah asked the fuming man. I looked up at my brother and furrowed my brows slightly.
"The kid plans to be a Black List Hunter and go after the most infamous band of bandits he can think of and all for revenge or avenging; either way it's suicide." Jerome explained to his wife as she nodded her head and turned to face my brother. He back away slightly keeping his eyes on Jerome as Sarah took a step forward. Jerome however stopped her and step forward himself. I walked closer to my brother and grabbed the back of his tabard with my brows furrowed.
"Tell you what. You two can go and survive out in the "wild" for about a month. If you come back alive I'll give you both Hunter application cards. If you die or one of you dies you will not take the exam. Do I make myself clear?" Jerome said to my brother. I hid behind my brother, Jerome was scary when angry. My brother clenched his fists and nodded his head as Jerome began walking away.
Good, now off with ya!" He said to us. My brother grabbed my free hand and began pulled me back up the stairs.
We sat in the room that Sarah had let us stay in. I watched as my brother packed things silently. I fidgeted slightly as I sat on my legs. My brother stopped quickly and looked at me with a questioning look on his face as I shook my head and smiled widely at him.
"Why did you make a bet? You don't make bets." I asked him looking at him questionably. Kurapika continued folding clothes and putting them into a shoulder bag as he stayed quiet.
"I…don't know. He made me angry, and I guess I wanted to show him we could become Hunters." My brother said as he stopped packing the bag and closed the top over. He looked up at me with a serious look on his face making me look at him question.
"Don't ever do what I did okay? When you're really angry or really happy or really upset, you jump to answers and don't think straight. So don't ever do it." He said as I nodded my head slightly. He smiled at my slightly and place a hand on top of my head rubbing my head making me smile widely at him. My brother looked up at the clock in the room making me turn my head with his hand still on it. It said it was about eight at night, the sun was down making it dark outside.
"We should go. The earlier the leave the earlier we can come back to get our Hunter application cards." Kurapika said to me making me nod my head. He stood up first and dropped the bag over his shoulder as I stood up afterwards and brushed of my bottom.
The two of us walked out of the room and closed the door quietly. We walked down stairs with me closely following my brother behind. He stopped though making me bump into him. I looked up at him and opened my mouth to say something until he placed a finger over his lips. I nodded my head as we waited in the darkened hall way.
"They two are stupid if they think they'll handle the challenge." I heard Jerome say.
"Jerome, they've lost everything. They are literally all they have left. If this is what they want to do then you shouldn't tell them otherwise." I heard Sarah say as Jerome sighed grumpily to himself.
"They're eight and twelve, Kurapika being nearly thirteen. Boys his age don't think straight, if at all. The chances are he's probably dragged his little sister into wanting to be a Hunter." Jerome said calmly to Sarah. I could hear feet move around before someone sitting into a chair.
"I don't think that's true. I think she decided by herself. Kurapika has had to become very mature very quickly… Re-think your decision. If you're that worried, train them yourself and see how they fair." Sarah said back to him. A long pause admitted from the room. I looked up at my brother; his face looked stern with thought. I heard footsteps, they made my brother jump. I quickly hid behind my brother as the door opened, revealing Jerome. He raised an eyebrow at me and my brother before sighing and moving over, nodding his head into the direction of the room they were in for us to enter.
I closely followed my brother behind as Jerome walked back in and closed the door behind him. We stood in the middle of the room, with me standing very closely to my brother. Jerome shook his head slightly and sighed to himself as he slumped back into the chair. He leaned forward and leaned his elbows onto his knees, interlacing his fingers together as he looked at the both of us. I moved away from his gaze slightly with my brows furrowed as I kept holding onto my brothers clothing tightly.
"I've actually come to a conclusion and am changing my terms. You can have the Hunter application cards, but you must train. I'll be watching you every day. This means you won't be doing chores for the month." Jerome said making my brother look at him in surprise before going back to his stern look.
"If I think you've trained hard enough I'll give you the application cards; allowing you both to take the exam together when Mishka turns twelve. However like my previous condition; if I don't think you've done well enough then you will not be getting the application cards." Jerome said looking between the two of us. I looked up at my brother who looked slightly shocked and taken back by his words. He nodded his head though.
"Okay, we'll do it." He said to him as Jerome nodded his head and stood up.
"I suggest going to bed; if you're taking this seriously you'll need to be up and early tomorrow morning." He said to us and began walking away. I looked over at Sarah who was smiling over at the two of us. She got up herself and walked over to the two of us. She bent down level to us and looked between the two of us.
"I'm sure you'll both do fine. Good luck." She said to us and stood up straight herself before walking away. Me and my brother looked at each other before he sighed and rubbed the back of his head slightly, furrowing an eyebrow in thought before looking over to me with a wide smile.
"Okay, so tomorrow I'll teach you how to protect yourself." My brother said to me as I looked up to him with wide eyes and nodded my head quickly.
The morning had come quickly, I was tired still; but Jerome said we had to be up early if we really were taking this serious. My brother was the one that was waking me up; he shook my shoulder making me look at him. I sat up and rubbed my eyes with the back of my hands and yawned loudly. I looked over to the clock, it said five. So it was five in the morning. My brother was already changed; he just wore his training clothes. He chucked something at me. I attempted to catch whatever it was he chucked at me but instead it hit my chest and fell to the bed. I picked up the fabric and held it up staring at it confused.
"They're a little big now, but if you roll up the sleeves and shorts they'll fit okay. It's better than getting your dress wrecked." Kurapika said to me as I nodded my head and hoped off the bed.
"I'll be in the hallway okay?" My brother said to me making me nod my head as I began undressing to get changed. I quickly took off the night shirt and pulled the shirt my brother gave me over my head. The sleeves were miles too big, and the shirt itself ended to the middle of my thigh. I rolled up the sleeves like he told me too and quickly pulled on the shorts. They too were miles too big. I pulled at the strings, tightening it around my waist and then bent over to roll up the bottoms. Once I was done I quickly slid on my shoes and made my bed. Rushing out of the door I jumped into my brothers back making him turn around and nod his head. I closed the door behind me and followed my brother to the outside.
We got outside as I followed my brother to the more quiet area of the town. We headed towards where all the trees were somewhere away from people. I followed him quickly until he stopped, making me bump into his back again. My brother turned around quickly and looked at me as I yawned again loudly. He placed his hands on his hips as I looked up at him.
"If we're taking the Hunter exam then you need to know how to defend yourself." My brother said making me nod my head listening to him still half asleep. He bent down to my level, propping up one knee with the other on the ground. He held out his hands in front of him looking at me seriously while I looked at him confused.
"Punch my hands, as hard as you can." He said making me look at him with wide eyes and shake my head quickly, bringing my hands closely to myself. He raised an eyebrow slightly and looked at me questionably.
"You won't hurt me. It's just making sure you can punch right." Kurapika said to me making me shake my head again. He looked away slightly and dropped his hands. He thought to himself and snapped his fingers.
"Okay, make your hand look like this." He said balling his hand into a fist. I copied him as he shook his head and quickly took my hand. He pulled my thumb out from inside my fist and instead curled it around my fingers.
"Like that. If you punched the way you were holding your fist you would have broken your thumb." My brother said to me as I nodded my head. He held out his hands again with a serious look on his face again.
"Okay, punch my hands." He said making me shake my head again and bring my hands close to me once more. My brother sighed to himself slightly and dropped his head slightly. I had a feeling it was going to be a long day for my brother.
Kurapika dropped his hands again and looked at me carefully.
"Do you know how to punch?" He asked me as I looked away slightly before looking back at him and shaking my head. He thought to himself before nodding his head and standing up. He stood next to me as I watched him carefully.
"All you do is clench your fist like this. And then you extend your arm like this. You do it really fast and with all your strength." He said, punching the air in front of him, quickly extending his arm. I watched as his arm moved quickly. He pulled his arm back and looked down at me, smiling with a serious look on his face.
"Like that. You try now." He said to me as I nodded my head and copied what he did. I didn't move my arm as quickly. I looked back at my brother again as he nodded his head with a small smile on his face.
"Yeah like that. Now you just need to try going a little bit faster and put your weight behind it." He said as I watched him do it again. I nodded my head with a determined look on my face and copied my brother once more. It went like for a while until my brother was absolutely sure I had got it.
My brother had been training me for a while. He had finally got me to punch his hands although it wasn't that hard, even though I was punching the air hard, I couldn't do it to my brother. He just said he wanted to see if I knew how to punch correctly when making contact with people. It was the same with kicking, but I accidently kicked him in the crouch, right where I shouldn't have and it made him drop to the floor in pain with his forehead touching the ground, eyes closed tightly and clenching his teeth together tightly. I couldn't say worry enough. My brother just moved his head up from the ground looking at me with his brows furrowed slightly and trying this best to smile.
"That's okay… Just don't do that… unless you need to… It's known as fighting dirty and… it's not very fair." My brother said as I nodded my head furrowing my brows as I knelt down by his side and rubbed his back and patted it slightly.
"Just…give me a few…minutes." He said as I nodded my head and waited, staying knelt down by his side. I felt bad, really bad. I had never hurt my brother before, and I didn't like the feeling of it; it made me feel really bad. My brother took a deep breath and slowly sat up. He shifted onto his bottom and placed his hands behind him breathing heavily to himself. I watched him carefully with furrowed brows as he turned his head and smiled widely at me.
"I'm okay… Let's call it a day. I actually got you to do a lot more than I thought I would have." He said smiling at me as I smiled widely back at him with my brows furrowed. My brother stood up and stretched his arms above his head. I stood up after my brother and stretched my arms above my head as well, watching him closely. My brother looked down at me and dropped his arms down as I did the same. He laughed slightly at my actions.
"You don't have to copy me now." He said as I nodded my head. He looked around, as if trying to find someone. I watched him carefully as his face turned from soft to stern.
"We should head back now. I'm not sure what the time is; but it may be becoming late." Kurapika said to me as I nodded my head again and began following back to Sarah's house.
I thought to myself as we walked back to Sarah's. This was the first time I had ever learnt how to punch correctly or kick correctly. In fact, it was the first time of ever having to learn how to defend myself. When we lived back with the clan, there was no need. I wondered how my brother learnt; sure he practised a little bit back home, but not a lot. Maybe he learnt how to defend himself when he went to the outside world with Pairo. I couldn't be sure, but I knew I was learning from the best as it was my big brother teaching me.
We had gotten back to Sarah's house quite quickly. We entered the inn quietly. It was filled with people, the most I had ever seen it packed. The bar was busy with Jerome behind serving people and the people there were all talking to Sarah and saying things like "congratulations." I looked at my brother questionably as my brother just ignored all the chatter and started to make his way to the back of the bar to get a drink. I quickly followed him grabbing a hold of his training clothes so I wouldn't lose him in the crowd.
"So is it a boy or girl?" One of the woman asked, sitting on the bar stool. Sarah smiled widely at her.
"We're wanting it to be a surprise." She said to her as the woman giggled at her answer. I looked up at Jerome who gave a drink to one of the guys. He looked down at me looking at me questionably when he realised I was staring.
"What is it kiddie-wink?" He asked raising an eyebrow slightly as I looked at Sarah before looking back at him, confused as to what was going on.
"Why are people asking if it is a boy or girl?" I asked him. He smiled widely to himself before looking back at his wife again and then looked down at me again.
"Sarah's pregnant and just decided to tell the village. That's why they're asking." He said to me before going back to serving people. I nodded my head slowly but was still confused. I disappeared into the back and quickly looked for my brother. I found him having a drink of water. I quickly jogged up to him and looked at him questionably. He looked at me taking the glass down from his face.
"What's pregnant?" I asked him looking at him questionably. I saw him stiffen at the question before turning his head away trying to think of the answer. My brother had to know the answer, he knew everything! He looked back at me, raising an eyebrow slightly in question.
"Where...did you hear that?" He asked me as I pointed over to Jerome, who had his back turned to us as he was still serving people.
"Jerome said Sarah is pregnant and told the whole village. What does that mean?" I asked him as he scratched the back of his head slightly and shifted uncomfortably before looking back at me.
"You don't need to know until you're older, a lot older." He said to me simply as I thought about his answer. I smiled widely at him and nodded my head quickly.
"Okay!" I said to him with a wide smile on my face.
I stood on my toes and grabbed a glass from off the counter with the tips of my fingers. I stumbled backwards when I had to glass in my hand, but I managed to catch myself. Walking back to the sink I could feel my brother watching me as I stood on my toes again and tried reaching over to turn on the cold tap. I couldn't reach and tried jumping on my toes. My fingers barely touched the tap. I heard my brother walk behind me and lean over, turning on the tap for me so I could get a drink.
"If you need the help just ask." He said to me as I smiled widely at him and brought the glass back to me; quickly drinking my water. I was a lot more thirsty then I had originally thought. After finishing my glass I stood on my toes and placed it back onto the counter. I then turned around and began walking back to the front again.
"Where are you going, Mishka?" Kurapika asked me making me stop and turn around to face him with a large smile on my face.
"I want to say congratulations to Sarah too!" I said to him as he raised an eyebrow slightly and placed his glass on the counter. I knew he was wondering what I was really up to.
I got to the front again and walked around the bar and towards Sarah who sat the the table with a couple of her friends. I walked up to her and tugged on her sleeve slightly to grab her attention. She jumped slightly and turned her head towards me and then sighed to herself with a small smile on her face.
"You scared me a little Mishka. What is it?" She asked me kindly. I placed my hands behind my back and smiled widely at her.
"Congratulations for being pregnant...but that's pregnant?" I said and then asked her. She raised an eyebrow slightly and laughed to herself a little. Her friends laughed to making me jump slightly and back away slightly from them. I saw my brother walk towards us and smiled widely at him as he raised an eyebrow in question. My brother got to us and looked between me and Sarah, before looking at Sarah fully.
"Has...Mishka asked you anything...weird?" He asked her making me look up at him with my best glare. Although it wasn't a glare at all, I couldn't look mad at my brother no matter how hard I tried. Sarah shook her head with a wide smile on her face as she turned around in her seat.
"Nothing weird, just curious things." She said to him making him raise an eyebrow slightly. Sarah looked back at me again with a small smile on her face.
"Being pregnant means there's a baby growing inside you. It's like a miracle." She said to me as I looked at her questionably.
"Growing inside you? You ate it?!" I said panicking slightly as my eyes went wide in shock. Sarah's friends laughed as she herself chuckled slightly and shook her head. She looked back at me once more, a small, kind smile on her face.
"Put your hands here." She said putting her own hand onto her lower stomach. I placed my hands onto her lower stomach and looked at it sternly. I felt something move and pulled my hands away squeaking and hid behind my brother, peeking out from behind his arm. Sarah laughed slightly at my actions, but continued to smile at me kindly.
"That's where the baby grows. I think it'll be better to forget about it for now though. I'm sure when you're ready to learn you'll ask again." She said to me as I nodded my head, looking at her with furrowed brows. That was terrifying. Something moved in there and it didn't feel right. It seemed scary.
The night had come quickly. I laid on my bed as Kurapika read on of the books that was in the back room to the inn. He laid on his own bed with his arms in the air so he could see the writing.I stared at the ceiling with my arms spread to either side of me. I turned my head to watch my brother, who didn't seem to notice my staring.
"Hey, big brother?" I asked him as he turned a page in the book. He made a small noise, indicating he was listening.
"Where were we going to go if we went with Jerome's first plan?" I asked him. My brother closed the book and sat up. He turned around so that he was facing me with a stern look in his eyes.
"Lukso Province." He said simply making me sit up with wide eyes. I furrowed my brows and frowned. I couldn't help but fiddle with my training shirt as I stared at him. Why there? That was where we used to live, before everyone was killed; why go back?
"But you said we couldn't go back home because they might come back." I said to him as Kurapika sighed and interlaced his fingers together. He propped his elbows onto his knees as he leaned forward, his eyes diverted to the floor board. My brother nodded his head and began speaking once more, never taking his eyes off the floor.
"We weren't going to go back to the village. I was planning on taking us to a different part of Lukso village." He said to me as I continued to look at him with furrowed brows. I scooted over to the edge of my bed and hopped off. I quickly made my way to my brothers bed and lifted myself on, sitting next to him. I held the edges of the bed tightly with my hands. I didn't know what to say. I know my brother was still sad, even I was still sad about it and cried; but I don't think my brother ever did cry about our clan being killed.
"Do you think we'll do a good job? Getting everybody's eyes back and everything so they can be happy where they live now?" I asked him making him snap his head back to me. I gave me a sad smile and placed a hand on top of my head, rubbing it. He nodded his head.
"I think we will. But we have to train hard okay?" He said to me as I nodded my head. My brother looked at the clock and looked back at me once more, never taking his hand off from my head, the sad smile still on his face.
"Go to bed. we have to train every day until the month is gone." My brother said making me nod my head. I quickly hugged him tightly, receiving a hug back as well and hopped off his back to make my way back to mine. I quickly crawled under the covers deciding not to change into my other clothes. Kurapika walked over to the light switch and flicked it off and then made his way back to his bed.
I thought to myself as I waited to drift off to sleep. Would I really become so good that I was able to get everybody's eyes back like big brother said we would do? I hoped so. I closed my eyes tightly and turned around with my back facing the door. I pulled the covers close to my face as I waited to fall asleep. Why did it all have to happen?
Gon tapped my shoulder quickly as we made our way to the airport with my brother, Killua and Leorio. He was smiling widely making me raise an eyebrow slightly.
"Didn't you say you wanted to take a photo?" He asked me as I thought back and jumped slightly remembering that I did. I quickly nodded my head and started digging through my bag. My camera had fallen all the way to the bottom. I managed to find it and dragged it out from my bag smiling widely at Gon. He nodded his head and stopped making me and Killua stop with him.
"Before we go our separate ways, we should get a photo together!" Gon said over to Kurapika and Leorio making them stop walking. I held the camera tightly between my hands. My brother thought about it for a little bit before smiling slightly and nodding his head as he walked back over. Leorio rubbed the side his head slightly walking back towards us.
"Sure, it can't help I guess." He said. We all gathered round and stayed silent for a second or two.
"So…who's going to take the photo?" I asked them. Gon thought to himself as Killua pulled a face, wondering why no one had thought it through. Gon clicked his fingers making the rest of us look at him.
"We can ask one of the airport staff." He said as I smiled widely and nodded my head. I quickly looked around and found a guy standing in a blue uniform with the airport name on his chest. I quickly jogged over to him and stood in front of him smiling widely. He looked down and raised an eyebrow slightly in question.
"Can you take a picture of me and my friends please?" I asked him as he looked over to the group. He looked back at me and nodded his head.
I quickly handed him the camera and jogged back over to my friends and brother with the airport staff member following me. Me and Killua stood on either side of Gon. My brother stood behind me as Leorio stood behind Killua. Gon got Killua into a head lock and got me into a semi one, he made a peace sign with his fingers as he smiled widely at the camera. I couldn't help but smile widely myself with Killua. My brother and Leorio smiled themselves as the man took our picture. This was one I would definitely need to send to Sarah and Kimmy.
Author: Not my best chapter and I hate myself for it. I got distracted, a lot.
