Chapter 324
Angel tried to be there for Fred after everything that had happenned. Between losing both of her parents, the guilt of killing Knox, and the guilt about accidently helping to release Illyria, she was having difficulty getting over it. Illyria hadn't been seen since that night, most likely gaining strength and allies. Angel knew that Fred killed Knox, but between the other new emotions she could barely register that guilt. Angel worried about her, he knew what it was like to kill a man, what it could turn a person into. He wanted to help her through this, make sure she remained a good person. But she began pushing him away, wouldn't let him get too close to her. Angel could handle it if Fred broke up with him. Maybe a few nights drinking with Doyle could help him through that. But if this turned Fred into something bad, Angel wasn't sure he could handle that.
