Anime lover – Nope not weird at all. I've drawn up a beta sketch of Mishka when for when she's sixteen myself. (Can be found on my profile from tomorrow)

The crowd cheered in delight as Gon dodged and weaved his way from the spinning tops. All me and Killua could do was sit and watch our friend as he tried to think on the spot something he could do. The referee took himself off of the arena to keep himself safe from the spinning tops. Gon's Ten was visible, that wouldn't work against the blades though. Not in a million years. Gido balanced on his…leg and waved his walking stick in the hair at Gon. Gon jumped back as a bunch of spinning tops started coming his way. Suddenly the group split up and one hit Gon straight in the back once more.
"He's been hit from behind by another top! Gon is in big trouble, after having been surrounded by dancing tops!" The announcer shouted through her microphone. She wasn't helping the situation at all; in fact it was driving me nuts. The crowd cheering, her shouting, it was all driving me nuts. Gon ran to his left trying to dodge the tops only to be struck in the face on his left and sent flying to the ground. The referee had said something but what I didn't know.

Gon jumped up from his back and stayed crouching on the crowd as he looked at Gido.
"Gido has already earned four points!" The announcer screamed as the crowd kept cheering. Gon continued to jump left and right, duck and jump into the air to keep himself away from those tops. I found myself at the edge of my seat as I watched him, unable to do anything to help him. He then stopped for whatever reason. I furrowed my brows, wondering what he was doing. Gon suddenly looked at his hands and was struck in the stomach by one of the spinning tops. I winced once more, gripping my hands tightly to the edge of the seat.
"Another direct hit! Gon is completely helpless! He's been knocked out of the ring!" The announcer shouted as Gon flew out of the arena and hit the ground hard. He bounced and skidded across the floor. He was lucky he never hit the wall.
"The score is now six to zero! He's dug himself a big hole!" The announcer shouted again into her microphone as the referee ran up to Gon, I could only assume to see if he was alright.

Gon stood outside the ring for a while. The referee began showing fingers to him; it looked like he was counting down.
"Come on Gon, get back in." I muttered to myself as I watched on the edge of my seat. It was then that Gon ran quickly towards the arena. He leaped into the air and curled himself into a ball flipping over a couple of times before extending a foot out to kick Gido. I wouldn't help but smile, maybe Gon had figured it out and could win? My hopes were shattered when Gido started spinning around himself.
"There is it! Gido's special technique, combining offense and defence! Tornado Top!" The announcer shouted. Gon's foot collided with Gido only to be knocked away outside the ring once more.
"He lands a strong counter on Gon!" She shouted more as Gon bounced and skidded across the floor. This time he did hit the wall. I furrowed my brows more as I watched; only wincing more and more.
"Three points! The judge has rewarded a critical hit and knockdown! Gido has nine points! Gon is on the verge of losing!" The announced shouted as the crowd continued cheering. I saw Gon lie on the floor with his arms outstretched.

Gon had managed to get himself up once more and quickly jogged back over to the ring. He pulled himself up as he stood there, watching Gido continuously spin.
"Gon." I heard Killua gasp as I looked down myself and gasped as well. He stopped using Ten.
"I hope he knows what he's doing." I muttered to Killua. Killua leaned forward and grabbed the seat in front of him, a glare on his face as he leaned down to yell at Gon.
"Idiot! If you're hit by a Nen attack, without protection, you'll be totally messed up!" Killua yelled down to him. I stood up myself and cupped my hands over my mouth, leaning forward as well.
"Don't be reckless!" I shouted down, not too sure what else to yell down. Gon however seemed to ignore our words as he continued to stand there with no Ten protection. Gido continued spinning as more tops were sent towards Gon. Gon simply moved his head out of the way making me and Killua stare at him with wide eyes. He dodged them!
"What?! It's the first time Gon has managed to evade an attack!" The announcer shouted as me and Killua continued to watch standing up and leaning forward trying to get a closer look. Gon kept dodging and dodging them, as if he knew exactly where they were coming from. I looked at him in awe as he moved, dodging the tops.

The tops kept spinning towards Gon as he kept jumping and dodging them. Some other members of the crowd had stood up to cheer. I couldn't help but wonder how long this was going to go on for. I furrowed my brows as I watched him, hoping he wouldn't get hurt again like he had been, it was even more dangerous now that he didn't have his Ten protecting him.
"How long will this exchange continue? There are nearly fifty tops flying around the wing!" The announcer shouted as me and Killua sat down once more. Killua had more of a glare on his face then a worried look; I just looked worried for our friend.
"Gon is evading the frightening whirlwind of tops! Gido has used up all of his tops, and can only watch with the rest of us!" The announcer shouted again through her microphone. Gido had stopped spinning and looked at Gon with disbelief, from what I could tell on the big screen anyway. Gon suddenly jumped into the air making Killua gasps. I wondered what Killua had saw that I didn't as I watched Gon closely.
"Not that way!" Killua yelled as I saw what he meant. Tops flew towards him, leaving Gon with nowhere to run. He used his hand to block the blade, but it looked painful. I couldn't help but wince as the contact; it looked like it shattered his arm.

The match had ended with Gido as the winner. It didn't come as a surprise to me or Killua, we were expecting it; as was Gon. We were fuming about him deciding not to use Ten. No one was allowed to see Gon as he got himself patched up by the medical staff. Turns out they did everything here, from fixing broken bones to even major operations. And why that was? Because the nearest hospital was the next town over. For a city with a giant fight like club they certainly lacked the medical care facilities. Me and Killua decided to hang out in his room and go over the fight between us, trying to work why Gon thought it was such a good idea. After he stopped using Ten he was able to dodge them but it came at a price. We couldn't work it out, it just didn't seem logical. We had come to the conclusion that we would pester Gon about it the next day, just so he knew how angry we were at him, assuming he wasn't in a jar when we got to his room.

The next day came as quickly as the night passed. Me and Killua had left our bags in our rooms as we only planned on staying in Gon's room and pester him about his wounds and what could have happened. Killua met me outside of my room just as I was locking the door to make sure no one stole my things. We nodded to each other as we began making out way to Gon's room, the anger from yesterday still high. Letting ourselves in we instantly went over to his bed. As soon as I entered Gon's room my vision went red, I was that angry at him.
"Your right radius and ulna were both broken." Killua listed off.
"Fractured humerus." I listed off after him.
"Three broken ribs." Killua continued after me.
"Twelve minor other fractures." I said after Killua.
"Four months before you're completely healed up." Killua said as the two of us sat at the edge of Gon's bed. Gon sat in the bed, his right arm in a sling as he looked down. Killua sat with one leg crossed over on the bed and the other dangling down. His left hand was resting on the knee leg that dangled from the bed. I sat on my legs on the bed after slipping off my shoesmaking sure my shoes were on the floor. I had my hands in my lap, but I was gripping onto my tabard dress tightly. Gon looked up at us, trying his best to keep a straight face as me and Killua looked at him disappointedly and angrily. I was so angry. I could see red, that's how angry I was at him.
"You moron!" Me and Killua said at the same time.
"Sorry." Gon said sticking his tongue out at us. He looked over at me slightly as we continued to glare at him.
"Your eyes are red." He said as me and Killua crawled quickly up the bed. Killua sat on his hands and knees in front of Gon, poking his forehead with a finger as I sat on my hands and knees glaring at him angrily.
"An apology won't help! Do you have any brains in there? Didn't you see what happened to those who'd suffered the traditional Nen greeting?" Killua shouted at him, pushing his head back with his finger and then started poking his forehead hard making it bounce back. Gon closed his eyes tightly and gritted his teeth at Killua's abuse.
"We're so angry right now! You could have ended up like that or worse, don't you dare think we would help your sorry bottom if you ended up like them because you were being dumb!" I shouted at Gon, as I glared harder at him. So, so angry right now it was unreal. I don't think I ever felt this angry before. I know I got angry when Hanzo was beaten Gon but it wasn't to this extend where my eyes had turned straight at red just by entering Gon's room.

Killua flicked Gon's forehead and brought his hand back once more, keeping a glare on his face. Gon opened one eye as he furrowed his brows at us before opening both eyes and frowning at us deeply.
"One wrong move, and you could have ended up like them! You're lucky not to be hurt any worse." Killua said backing up my statement from before as I nodded my head. I leaned back onto my bottom with my legs either side of me as Killua leaned back into the position he was before.
"Man, why do you think four-eyes was training us?" Killua said closing his eyes. I kept my glare on Gon as he started to speak up after recovering from Killua's forehead abuse.
"Still… I had a feeling I'd be okay." Gon started making Killua crawl up the bed again, looking just as angry as before.
"I took a few hits, but I wasn't in mortal danger, as long as he missed my vital spots…" Gon began saying until he was cut off by me and Killua promptly putting a foot each onto his broken arm and pressing down.
"You deserve this for being so stupid!" I said to him, continuing my glare on him. He waved his good arm about in the air and pulled his head back with his eyes closed tightly.

There was knocking on the door making Killua remove his foot and look back towards the door, leaning back on his hands.
"Come in." He said over his shoulder making me look over at the door as well. I removed my foot and shifted myself so that I was back to sitting on my legs. Killua got off the bed and shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked towards the door. Gon stopped moving about as I went back to glaring at him making him jump.
"You…remind me of Kurapika when he was angry." Gon said frowning as I continued to hold my glare.
"If you keep being stupid you'll be seeing my brother's personality a lot more than you thought." I said to him making him gulp slightly. So maybe my brother had rubbed off on more a lot more than I thought, but Gon was being so stupid! How could someone be so dumb?! I heard the door open and turned my head towards it blinking a couple of times and taking in a large deep breath to calm myself down. I opened my eyes slowly; my vision wasn't red anymore so I could only assume I had managed to calm myself down enough to no longer see red. At the door stood Wing. He had his shirt still untucked and his hands behind his back. He looked so mad.

Killua looked up to him, shocked to see him there.
"Four-eyes!" Killua said as Wing just invited himself in. I watched as Wing walked over and as if on instinct I moved away to the other side of the bed as Wing was coming up on my side. Gon looked up at Wing himself as I sat back down onto my legs. I stared up at Wing, he looked even madder up close.
"Uh, sorry…" Gon said to him and quickly received a slap across the face. My eyes widened at what Wing had done. I didn't expect him to slap Gon across the face like that. Me and Killua could only in in shock and quietness.
"An apology won't help! What were you thinking?! Didn't you see those who'd suffered the traditional Nen greeting? You could have ended up just like them!" Wing shouted at Gon. Gon brought his head forward once more and looked down at the bed, furrowing his brows. Killua walked up behind with his hands behind his head.
"Oh, that's what we just told him." Killua said referring to me and him earlier. I nodded my head agreeing with Killua. Wing loosened his stance as he walked over to Gon and placed a hand onto his good shoulder.
"Honestly… I'm glad you weren't injured any worse." Wing said bending down to Gon's eye level. Wing furrowed his own brows as he frowned at Gon. Gon looked up at him, keeping his own brows furrowed.
"Wing, I really am sorry." Gon said to him. Wing smiled at him before bringing his face close and glaring at Gon.
"No, I won't let this one slide. Killua, Mishka, do you know when Gon will have recovered completely?" Wing asked us, never taking his eyes off Gon or taking his hand off his shoulder.
"The doctor said it would take two months." Killua said to him. I looked at Killua slightly as he gave me a look to tell me to play along. I nodded my head quickly agreeing and answering Killua's silent question.

Wing stood up straight as he placed a hand onto his hip. I could see Killua turn around with a cat like grin on his face.
"I understand. In that case, I won't allow you to participate in any matches for two months! I won't allow you to train in, or study about Nen. " Wing said holding up too fingers to Gon as Gon continued to watch the taller man. At least it was better than four months. If my brother saw me now he'd yell at me for lying.
"If you don't abide by these rules, I will never teach you again. Well?" Wing said to him, deadly serious about his requests and rules. Wing placed his hands behind his back as the glare on his glasses returned.
"I understand. I'll do as you say." Gon said to him. Wing held out a hand towards Gon.
"Give me your left hand." He said to him. Wing tied a piece of thread around Gon's little finger, it was blue in colour.
"This is a promise thread. It will be a visual reminder of your promise." Wing said to Gon as he held his hand up and nodded his head. Wing turned his attention to Killua, who didn't look amused by the idea of having a piece of thread wrapped around one's finger, even though it wasn't his hand.
"Killua, Mishka, a moment, please." Wing asked us making us both look up to him. I nodded my head and hopped off of Gon's bed. Walking around to the end of the bed again I slipped on my shoes once more. Me and Killua followed Wing, leaving Gon in his own thoughts.

We had followed Wing to the outside. He lead us to a park like area, it was covered with trees in the background but still had the city behind it. Wing led us to a bench and made the two of us sit in front of him on the bench. I had my hands in my lap as Killua had his arms lazily slung over his thighs. We both looked up at Wing as he began speaking.
"Killua, Mishka, what is the true objective you three are pursuing?" Wing asked us, making me instantly stiffen.
"Well, we don't really have an objective." Killua answered simply making me relax. He seemed to have this all thought through. I was actually grateful. I didn't want to tell Wing that I was trying to get stronger to help my brother track down an infamous A-class bounty gang and then retrieve the eyes of our clan. I didn't feel like telling him that at all.
"Before running into Zushi and you, my plan was to earn some quick cash. Gon's here to train hard, so he can defeat a guy named Hisoka. And Mishka here is here to train hard to become as strong as a guy names Kai. That's it, really." Killua said bored as he rested an elbow onto his knee and placed his chin into the open palm of his hand. He looked over at the tree in the distance. I couldn't help but smile at him, glad that he was covering up for me. Although in a way what he said wasn't wrong either, I just didn't want to tell him my first reason. He looked up to Wing making me do the same. Wing had been watching us carefully.
"Looks like the others in the two hundreds want to reach the top floor." Killua said as he quickly turned his head towards me, an eyebrow raised in question.
"Battle Olympia wasn't it?" He asked me as I nodded my head at the name, making Killua look back up at Wing with the same bored look.
"I'm not too interested. Oh, Gon is… Well, I'm not sure…" Killua said, collapsing his arms between his legs as he looked down. I looked up to Wing myself with a small smile on my face and my brows furrowed.
"I don't think Gon is too interested in Battle Olympia either. He just really wants to beat Hisoka." I said to him, trying to take some of the pressure off of Killua as he had been speaking for most of the time now. Wing continued to watch us as Killua grabbed the seat between his legs and swung his legs a little bit from the seat, nodding his head with what I had said earlier.
"But after seeing his match yesterday, I have a feeling he enjoys the thrills…" Killua said as he stopped swinging his legs and looked straight up at Wing again, a smirk on his face. I nodded my head agreeing with Killua's statement, my small smile never leaving.
"You say that he was enjoying a situation that could have cost him his life?" Wing asked us in belief. I nodded my head, Gon was a thrill seeker, he liked the things that endangered him. I had learnt that when we all jumped down to grab those eggs for the second Hunter Phase. Gon was the one screaming for joy with Killua as I held tightly onto my brothers' hand as the thought of falling.
"Yeah. I know because I've felt the same way. Although I take circumstances into consideration, too." Killua said to him as Wing looked at me, wondering what my explanation was.
"Gon is a thrill seeker, he enjoys the types of things that others wouldn't." I said to him, smiling at him. If I was honest, that's why it was fun being around him and Killua. I did things with those two I never thought I'd ever do, just as glorified cage fighting like I was doing now for instance.
"Once he's in the zone, he loses sight of everything else." Killua said looking forward once more before remembering something and looked up to wing with a wide smile on his face.
"Oh. But he isn't the type to break a promise twice, so you needn't worry." Killua said smiling up at him, making me nod my head quickly agreeing with him.
"He always learns the first time when it comes to promises." I said to him, laughing slightly at the end of my sentence.
"It's too late." Killua said making Wing jump slightly. Killua jumped off the bench and shoved his hands into his pockets as I stood up straight and brushed off my bottom slightly, keeping my hands behind my back. Killua looked up to Wing, a smirk on his face.
"Because Gon, Mishka and I already know. If you regret teaching us, and decide to back out, we'll find someone else, or learn ourselves." Killua said to him as I looked at Wing with my own determination. Now that we had started to learn about Nen, it wasn't time to suddenly stop just because he no longer wanted to teach us and I would stick by Gon and Killua's decision all the way through.
"You don't have to feel responsible. My brother and Hisoka can both use Nen, so Gon, Mishka and I were bound to discover it eventually." Killua said as he nodded his head towards me to follow him.

I nodded my head and followed behind Killua. We began walking down the steps until Wing's voice made up stop.
"I understand. And I mean to finish what I started. There are many things I must tell you." Wing said making me and Killua turn her heads over our shoulders to look up to him.
"Zushi is waiting in my lodge. You can train with him." Wing said to us, making me furrow my brows slightly. I wasn't Nen until Gon was able to restart training in Nen as well; I'm sure Killua felt the same way. Killua turned his head away as I watched the white haired assassin. He looked back forward once more, keeping his hands in his pockets.
"No, I'll pass." Killua said as he began walking down the steps again with me following behind him.
"I won't leave Gon behind." Killua said as I quickly stopped and turned around to face Wing myself.
"My decision is the same. We started together, so we finish together." I said to him with a small smile on my face. I quickly turned around to catch up with Killua once more who was walking ahead without me.
"If he keeps his promise, we'll start training when he does." Killua said to him as we continued walking back up Heaven's Arena so we could head back to Gon's room once more.
"Tell Gon this… I will allow him to practice the other Nen! Tell him to practice Ten daily!" Wing shouted over, making Killua raise his arm into the air to let him know he heard. I turned around slightly and waved my arm in the air waving his bye and then faced forward once more, walking with Killua back to the Gon's room.

We walked up the stairs towards the main building in complete silence and even climbed into the elevator in silence. Killua pressed the button for us to go up. I fidgeted slightly and quickly turned my attention to Killua before looking back to the elevator doors once more.
"I'm going to sign up for a match, so I'll meet you in Gon's room okay?" I said to him. I could feel him turn his gaze to me as I watched the elevator doors. After seeing Gon's match I had to know if I had gotten stronger. I couldn't help but clench my fists at the thought. I heard Killua laugh slightly under his breath as he kept his hands in his pockets.
"Okay. Just don't do what Gon did and end up breaking things." Killua said to me making me nod my head with a small smile as I turned my head to face him.
"I'll be fine." I said, smiling widely at him. We hoped out the elevator and walked up the same pathway. Killua turned left as I turned right to go to the receptionist. I stood in front of the counter; it was the lady who was overly excited a few days ago when Gon was signing up.
"I'd like to sign up for a match please." I said to her smiling widely at her. The woman sighed slightly, probably remembering me from a couple of nights ago and handed me a slip of paper. I ticked the various boxes and signed my name. I was up for a match whenever, just like Gon had done. Handing the paper back to her I began making my way to Gon room quickly. I got there quicker than I expected. I pulled down the handle lightly and quietly and peaked my head in. Gon was still sitting in his bed. His had his eyes closed and was in deep concentration. Killua sat on the floor cross legged and was in deep concentration himself. Smiling slightly to myself I entered the room and closed the door behind me. I walked over to the two and took a seat next to Killua, sitting on my legs. I closed my eyes, allowing myself to go into the deep concentration; I could only assume they were practising Ten. I breathed slowly and calmly, as I practised the only Nen Gon was allowed to practise.

We had practiced Ten for a while and before I knew it, it was getting let. I opened my eyes and looked above Gon's bed to see out of his window. It was dark. I stood up as quietly as I could and stretched my arms above my head. I guess I disturbed Gon and Killua as they both opened their eyes to watch me. I smiled apologetically at the two, furrowing my brows.
"Sorry, I was just going to my room as it's getting late." I said to the two, nodding my head towards the window. Gon nodded his head smiling widely as Killua stood up himself and stretched his arms above his head.
"Well I'm getting a drink." Killua announced as he began exiting the room. I looked at Gon with a wide smile on my face.
"I'm still angry at you. But I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" I said to him as he nodded his head.
"Yeah." Gon said simply back. I waved bye to him and exited his room, closing the door behind me. I quickly made my way to my own room, not wanting to run into Hisoka or those other guys. I only knew one of their names, and that was Gido. Unlocking the door I stepped in quickly, almost tripping over my own feet and shut the door behind me, locking it shortly afterwards. I could see the TV glowing and raised an eyebrow curiously at it. Walking over I saw a blue screen with my name.
"Mishka. Match on the 13th of the March at midday…That's tomorrow. Just like Gon's." I said, and swallowed hard. If it was one of Gido's friends, I didn't know if I wanted to face them.

Making my way to my bag that lazily sat in a chair, I dug through it and took out a clean pair of underwear. I made my way to the bathroom and quickly stripped down, leaving my training clothes and tabard over on the counter along with clean underwear. I jumped into the shower without thinking. This time I didn't have to wait for it to heat up, it was already hot. I was glad for that. I began thinking to myself. It was fun travelling and training with Gon and Killua, but I couldn't help but feel slightly…useless or as if I was lagging behind. They were capable of so much, and were so much more ahead of me in everything; I felt more like a tag along. Then came the problem of missing my brother. I couldn't class it as homesick, as we didn't exactly have a home to return to now, but I guess I was lonely without his company. I had gotten so used to him being around almost twenty four seven that new it was alien not being around him. I couldn't help but sigh to myself, as much as I hated it; I hoped September came quickly. I wanted to see my brother again.

I finished off my shower and quickly dried off. The bathroom was still warm from the water and steam, something I was happy for as usually it got chilly after a shower or bath. I walked over to where my clothes were and quickly put them on. I didn't have sleep wear, and I wasn't too happy about sleeping naked, not with people like Hisoka wondering about. Let's be honest, a locked door wasn't going to stop him on a murderous rampage. Once fully clothed I folded up my dress tabard, picked up my shoes and walked out of the bathroom. Putting the dress tabard and shoes down next to my bed I climbed into my bed lazily. I will need to tell Gon and Killua about my match at midday, I knew they would probably want to train but that would give them the option to come watch. I shook my head, no, of course they would want to come and watch; it was silly of me to think of anything different.

Morning soon came. I was surprisingly up with the sun. Looking at the phone beside the bed I could see it was only eight am. Hopefully Gon and Killua would be up by now and I could tell them about my match earlier today. I quickly got myself up and bent down, picked up my dress tabard and threw it over my head, tugging it all too over my head. I winced slightly and rubbed my ear that would teach me for pulling clothing on too fast. I slipped on my shoes and jogged over to my door. I unlocked it and opened it quickly to see Gon and Killua standing in front of it. I looked at them questionably as Killua held a hand up to knock on my door. I waved at him slightly before moving aside to let them in. The two boys entered as I closed my door behind me. Gon turned around to face me fully, a wide smile on his face.
"We wanted to train in your room today, we're always in mine." Gon said making my laugh slightly. I gave them an apologetic smile and furrowed my brows slightly.
"Sorry, but I have a match today at twelve." I said to Gon as he frowned somewhat but smiled afterwards widely and nodded his head.
"Okay, so we'll watch your match. Killua said you were signing up, guess people are really eager to fight on this floor." Gon said as I nodded my head agreeing with him.

Twelve o'clock had come quickly. I stood on the platform, waiting for it to raise to the arena so I could face my opponent. I couldn't help but fidget and play with the sleeves of my shirt as I waited for the announcer to start doing her thing.
"We have an exciting match for you today! First we have Mishka, a rookie who shot up to the two hundreds!" She shouted through the microphone. I felt the platform beginning to move and couldn't help but move my legs apart out of instinct to keep myself balanced as it rose. The crowd cheered as the platform stopped. I felt embarrassed and once again fiddled with my sleeve.
"Her opponent is a returning Floor Master who retired two years ago, Kai!" The announcer shouted making the crowd go wild once more. My eyes immediately widened as soon as I heard that name. Kai was a Floor Master here at one point? He was strong I knew that. I said I wanted to be as strong as him, not psychically fight him. He had and has the intention to kill me; this would just give him the perfect opportunity. I looked forward with furrowed brows as the long haired brunette's platform stopped rising, showing Kai with his hands shoved into his pockets and a scowl over his face. I was the last person he wanted to see. Kai's clothes were different to the ones in the hunter exam. He wore brown baggy cargo trousers that looked like they had many pockets and a grey hoodie. He also wore trainers.

We began walking to the middle where the referee was. The uniformed man looked between us as he raised his hand, before throwing it down.
"Begin!" He yelled. However, neither of us moved, I was too scared to move nor did Kai didn't seem all that interested.
"Wh-what are you doing here?!" I said to Kai, stuttering as I looked at him. He rolled his eyes at my question and stared back at me, keeping the scowl on his face.
"Need money, got bored, want to reclaim my title as a Floor Master again. Good enough for you brat?" He asked me, raising an eyebrow in question. I quickly nodded my head as I stiffened. He looked at me question and sighed, removing a hand from his pockets and running it through his hair instead.
"No weapons this time. Confident aren't we? I'll make it even." He said as he reached behind him and grabbed the hilts of his daggers. I immediately went on guard. Kai threw the daggers with force towards the ground, making them land perfectly straight into the ground. I guess with was close quarters combat, as much as I didn't want it to be. I quickly focused enough to allow myself to see my own aura, summoning Ten. Kai seemed unfazed, then again why would he be?

I decided to make the first move against Kai. I knew Ten didn't protect you against psychical attacks, but just in case he used his own Nen, then I was ready. I quickly ran at him, I just had to try that pushing technique, maybe it would work. Running at him he lift his right arm, making my body stop dead on the spot. I couldn't move, no matter how much I wanted to. I could see him smirk as he flung he right arm away from his body, somehow flinging me along with it. I hit the ground pretty hard, more out of shock then the actual action.
"Kai shows no mercy! He's already using own special attacks. It remains a mystery as to what it is, but you wouldn't want to be on the receiving end!" The announcer shouted as the referee rewarded Kai with two points. I looked up at Kai shocked and scarred. He, he somehow managed to throw me, without having the actually touch me. He looked at me from the corner of his eyes and smirked at me.
"Surprised? It's not Nen if that's what you're wondering." He said to me making me look up at him in shock. He chuckled slightly as he continued watching me get us.
"You're on the two hundredth floor. You're going to know something about Nen by now. What I just used against you is nothing like Nen, not even close." He said to me as I stared at him shocked.
"I'll let you in on a little secret. I'm not a Nen user, never will be. I use something far, far greater. I use telekinesis." He said, smirking at me. All I knew was that he didn't use Nen, he didn't even have Nen. Wing had said that people who were seen as psychics used Nen, but Kai; that was not the case with Kai. He was psychic, one hundred percent, and that scared me. That meant my Ten had no effect what do ever, it wouldn't protect me against anything. Letting out a slow breathe I dropped the shroud, never taking my eyes off of Kai. The brown haired boy raised an eyebrow slightly before chuckling and smirking to himself.
"You aren't the same terrified girl I thought at the Hunter Exam. The way you stand says so." He said as he continued to smirk to himself.
"But you're still weak." He said to me making me stiffen and furrow my brows. Was I really still that weak? I had been training so hard with Gon and Killua to get stronger, I couldn't still be weak….could I?

Kai lunged himself forward at me taking me by surprise. I crossed my arms over my face, stopping him from punching it. I took the opportunity to grab his wrist and throw a punch at him myself. I shouldn't have seen it coming though; he grabbed my fist easily and managed to twist my arm behind my back making me grit my teeth as I was forced to have my back facing him. I felt his foot collide with the back of my legs making me drop to the ground before I felt a hand on the back of my head. I suddenly felt enormous pressure, pressing against the back of my head. I was suddenly launched forward and skidded across the ground after hitting it head first. I closed my eyes tightly as I lifted myself up; Kai was awarded another two points.
"Kai has used his special attack again! He seems to be holding back, I wonder what he has up his sleeves." The announcer shouted as the crowd kept on cheering. I stood up once more, trying to think to myself how I could beat Kai. How do you beat something you can't see? Even still, Ten couldn't protect you against it, so how did you beat it? I turned around to see Kai having walked up to me. My eyes went wide as I jumped backwards away from him, planning on keeping my distance. He chuckled at me as he walked closer.
"There are no rules here, anything goes. The only reason why you're still alive is because I like to see the weak suffer." He said as stopped in front of me and placed a hand on my shoulder before I felt a shin collide with my ribs. He kicked much harder than he did in the exam, or maybe I had gotten frailer, either way I heard a disgusting crack coming from my stomach as he let go of my shoulder. I stayed in place as I instantly wrapped my arms around my stomach with wide eyes.

Kai walked away leaving me to hold my stomach as he walked back over to his weapons and picked them up with ease after they were lodged into the ground.
"Still not one to give up are you?" He said, tossing the blade into the air before chucking it at me. I don't know what came over me but I somehow managed to grab it before it hit my face. I heard him chuckle darkly as he turned around.
"Learnt a new trick I see." He muttered to himself as I threw the dagger back at him, only to have him catch it skilfully between his fingers.
"I learnt a lot since travelling with Gon and Killua. I learnt not to be dependent on my brother. I learnt that I could do things on my own, and stand on my own two feet. I'm not brave, and I'm not the brightest person, but I'm learning how to better myself not only for myself but for my brother." I said to him, not noticing he had come closer until I felt his hand cover my entire face.
"Shut up." He said simply, tightening his grip on it. I hurt, a lot. It felt like he was trying to break my skull. I placed my hands onto his in a panic to pry off his hands, however he used his other hand to punch me several times in the gut. The only reason why he did let me go was because I coughed blood up into his hand. He grunted at the sight before throwing a hand around my neck. His favourite way, or so I assumed, or "disposing" of someone. Strangulation. Crush their throat so they couldn't breathe or beg you to let go. Out of instinct I grabbed his wrist trying to keep myself up. This was just like the hunter exam, but instead of maybe fifteen people watching, there was fifteen hundred; and they all cheered for whoever was winning. Something popped into my head. Just like it had at the Hunter exam, that little nagging feeling of possibility.
"I stick by what I said back at the exam." I said to Kai as he looked at me with an eyebrow raised as he continued to hold me in the air by my neck. I closed my eyes tightly as I tried to gulp down some air. When I managed to get enough I began speaking to him once more.
"You make other people sad because you're sad. That's how people work, right? If people are sad they make others feel just as sad so they have something to share, and that's what you do isn't it?" I said to him. The same thing happened again, he threw me to the ground, making me land arm into it. This time though he did something new. He crashed his foot into my side making my eyes grow wide as I gritted my teeth together. I had said to him something similar at the exam, and he threw me on the ground for it knocking me unconscious. This time though, for whatever reason he was holding back. I wasn't fighting the same Kai, something was making him different. Instead of him going insane, he stiffened and clenched his fists tighter than they already were, holding the hilt of the dagger he had picked up even tighter. I watched his mouth move from the ground.
"Er. Ke her. Like her. Ust like her. 'Re just like her. You're just like her!" Kai mumbled, getting louder and louder with each passing word.

Kai removed his foot from my side and walked away before knelt on the floor on his knees. He's hands gripping into his hair on top of his head. The announcer had said something, but what I didn't know what it was; I was too focused on Kai who seemed to be having a breakdown. I walked up to him slowly, even though everything in my body told me not to, against my better will if people insisted. But he needed help. Walking to his side I slowly placed a hand onto his back, feeling him flinch under the touch.
"Do…Do you want me to get someone?" I asked him, furrowing my brows as I kept my hand on his back. What happened next I didn't expect. I felt something sharp in my stomach, it made my eyes go wide and my teeth grit together in pain. Kai was fast, very fast. I dared to look down. His hand was clenched around a handle of one of his daggers, his other hand still on his head.
"Don't you dare act like them. Pretending you care when you don't. No one will ever be as close to them. Anyone who tries deserves just what you've received." He said to me, darkly, glaring up at me as I continued to look at him with wide eyes and clenched teeth. He yanked his hand away, yanking his blade away with it. My arms instantly curled around my stomach as I feel to my knees hunched over and stared at the ground with wide eyes.
"I killed them because they were starting to go against me. You acting like them is a disgrace to whatever good memories I have left of them." He said, standing up. I didn't understand, what did Kai mean? Who was he talking about? So many questions and the pain in my stomach wasn't making it any clearer for me to try and think them through. I knew one thing for sure; Kai had truly lost whatever sanity he held onto.

I heard footsteps walk away as another pair of footsteps came closer to me.
"I quit. I don't care anymore. She wins assuming she survives." I heard Kai shout to someone, who I didn't know. The pain was so intense; it was like nothing I had ever felt before in my life. I couldn't stay hunched over anymore and fell to my right side, trying to cruel up onto a tight ball; as if afraid all my blood would spill at once if I didn't. I didn't hear what the announcer was saying and the figures in front of me were blurred. There was several pairs of feet from what I knew and people calling out my name. The voices, although they were close I couldn't recognise them no matter how much I wanted to; I just couldn't. I hoped this was all a bad dream, but I knew it wasn't. My world started turning black and my light started feeling light. I couldn't stay awake no matter how much I wanted too.

I don't know how long I was asleep for, but when I woke up I was in my own room in my own bed. I was still in my training clothes, although my tabard was now ruined with blood and a huge hole. I would have to repair that. My stomach killed, even though I was lying on my back. It was so painful having anything on it. I looked to my left to see the top of Gon and Killua's heads. I carefully sat up, winching and flinching as I did. I was so sore, my stomach hurt so much. My match with Kai, it was only at the end that he really tried to kill me, or even put any heart or effort into doing so. Through the rest of the fight he wasn't himself.
"Mishka you're awake!" I heard someone say from beside me and looked up to see Gon had sat himself on my bed. I nodded my head as Killua was the next to sit himself up. Silence fell between us as I looked between the sheets and them.
"He…wasn't using Nen was he?" I heard Killua ask as I shook my head and looked up to the two boys.
"He said it was telekinesis. He believes it's better than Nen. I don't want to know how he got part of Nen greeting." I said as the other two nodded. Silence fell over us again, I knew I hadn't won the match, but I needed to ask just to confirm my own thoughts.
"The match was cancelled wasn't it?" I asked as the two nodded their heads once more. I couldn't help but smile slightly, that was good; at least there was no winner or loser. Now for the final question. I took a deep breath as I looked at the two seriously.
"Where's Kai?" I asked them. Gon and Killua looked at each other before looking back at me. Gon furrowed his brows slightly whilst Killua was scowling, although not at me.
"Dead." Gon said simply making me jolt somewhat. I looked between the two, wondering what they meant.
"He was splattered across the pavement. They think he jumped off the arena tower. But they can't confirm it's his body." Killua said, scowling.

I couldn't help but furrow my brows. If Kai was dead…if Kai took his own life…It was my fault. I had said those things to him, about people who were sad making others sad. Now that I thought about it, I didn't even know where it came from; why did I say it? Did I want to see Kai admit he was a sad person or did I want to try and fool myself into thinking he was, so that maybe on the off chance he wasn't just plain evil for the comfort of my own thoughts. I stared at my hands on the bed quilt, Kai had commit suicide…and it was my entire fault.
