Chapter 327
On Saturday March 9th Riley attended his meeting. For lack of a better term they called themselves "Fang Addicts Annonymous." Riley, like the others, was an addict. They had all allowed vampires to drink from them. They got the same rush as people who cut themselves. The vampires got fresh human blood, cash, without killing they didn't attract slayers or other vampire hunters. But there was always the danger of a human dying accidentaly or meeting a vampire who only pretended to play by house rules. Riley had never thought of himself as someone who would become ad addict, but then he got bit, and he liked it. It had been four years since he got bit, he hoped to never do it again. His wife Samantha helped him through this. And their mutual faith in Christ gave him strength. Being around others like this also helped Riley resist the temptation, even in Sunnydale. During the meeting Riley got a text message from Sam. She wouldn't text him during a meeting unless it was important. Riley snuck away and called her. He was relieved that she was okay, but this was urgent enough for Riley to leave the meeting.
