Until recently Mr Trick and the hunter Frawley didn't know each other well. Frawley had been a fighter in Sloboda, fought to extinguish all demons. Then he was injured, would've died had it not been for his friend Gib Cain. Back home, Frawley sold out, became a mercenary. Now, Trick and Frawley had a common enemy, Buffy Summers. Her interference with two of Trick's schemes cost him his place as the top operative for president Wilkins. Frawley had captured the werewolf Oz for Jacob Crane. Now Jacob Crane was dead, and Frawley didn't even get Oz's pelt. Having cost both of them money Frawley and Trick both hated Buffy Summers. Frawley captured Buffy, Trick would use her for a demonstration. Trick's project, would kill Buffy in front of this internet audience. Once Trick proved that it could kill the slayer he would sell it to the highest bidder. Maybe Wilkins would buy it, and Trick would regain his rightful place. But other potential bidders included Israel, Iran, China, North Korea, even Alqueda. Trick was a capitalist, didn't care who got this product so long as they paid. And he wanted to see Buffy die.
