A big thank you to Anime lover, Just a Cadbury, Rina Dragonfly and all silent readers!
Anime lover – Glad you enjoyed it. In short, yeah, Mishka and Chimera are a lot alike, which explains why Kai loses his shit, for a lack of better words. Oh! Concept art for Mishka aged sixteen is now on my profile.
Just a Cadbury – I hate reality sometimes but had to include it as much as possible for this chapter to make any sort of plausible sense. Still; now we know why Kai is such an arse. And don't worry dear; I should be back to uploading one chapter a day instead of two.
Rina Dragondly – Very sad indeed and I felt bad writing it, but not uncomfortable.

It had been a month since Gon and mines injuries. I had the stitches removed from my stomach. All that remained there was a long scar above my belly button. I didn't mind though. Gon was acting as if the injuries never happened and I guess that was the way to go really. Although, he was only allowed to practice Ten until his bones were healed up. I was debating rather or not I should let my brother know; but if I told him he would probably worry and I didn't want that. After all, I was trying to prove to him that he didn't need to worry about me all the time now. Like Gon, I wasn't allowed to practice anything apart from Ten for two months. It was Gon and Killua that said a shortened time for me, as the original time was three months, due to the injuries needing to heal on the inside more than the outside. Unlike Gon, I wasn't made to wear a promise thread as I never broke a promise to begin with; Kai didn't use Nen, there was nothing I could do.
It's also a month since Kai's suicide. I've been feeling bad about it since I heard about it. Apparently, I had been asleep for a few days. Gon and Killua told me the full details once I was fully awake and had taken in what they had said about Kai. I don't think he was a bad person; he just needed help. But, if I never had said what I did say during our fight I don't think he would have done it. From what the news stations said he had no family to be contacted and was going to be buried in the local graveyard; the ceremony was an open one. Gon, Killua and Wing wouldn't allow me to go at first and I had to convince them. I couldn't do anything to take back what I said, so the least I could do was pay my respects to him. There wouldn't be a need to tell my brother about this, not unless it really got to me. I was lucky though. Me, Gon and Killua stuck around each other like glue since the incidents; it we weren't hanging out in Gon's room we were hanging out in mine and if not in mine then Killua's.
I had decided, I didn't want to fight here anymore, I would find another way to train myself. I got some money now, so I could go anywhere to train. If I wanted to, I would do one more match, but if we left after Gon thought Hisoka like he wanted to then I didn't mind. I just wanted to leave, it made me feel uncomfortable. But where we would go was a mystery, as now it was only April and the auction wasn't until September.
I heard someone enter my room and looked up from what I was doing. I had gotten a bit better at sewing and decided to make myself some new dress tabards, since I would probably outgrow these ones soon. That and there was only so much repair work I could do to it. Killua was standing next to my bed, he moved fast, it made me jump slightly and stab my finger with the needle I was using. I quickly pulled my hand away swinging my hand by the wrist in the air.
"At least tell me if you're going to do that." I said to him putting the tip of my finger to my lips to stop it from stinging. Killua raised an eyebrow slightly and linked his fingers behind his head as he looked at me questionably.
"Why don't you buy clothes? You got the money to now." He asked me as I looked up at him and smiled widely; pulling my finger away as the fabric I was working on stayed in my lap.
"Stores don't sell mine and my brothers' clan's tabards. So, we have to make them." I said to him smiling widely before looking up in thought, furrowed my own brows slightly.
"Come to think of it, I think my brother packed clothes for him for when he did grow. I've never seen him make them…" I said trailing off somewhat in thought. Training clothes you could get anywhere, I would need to get some more at some point but the robes and such not so much.
I quickly put the fabric and needle onto my bed and hopped off, sliding on my shoes in the process.
"Ready to go to Gon's room?" He asked, taking my answer for his question as I nodded my head quickly. He smiled back and turned around to leave my room as I did the same, following behind him closely. Once we were out I quickly locked my door and walked to Gon's room with Killua, who had decided his hands were more comfortable in his jean pockets. Killua knocked on Gon's door and then opened it wide enough for both of us to walk through.
"Gon, I got something good…" Killua began saying before stopping. I looked myself and widened my eyes slightly. Gon was upside down, balancing on one hand, more importantly the one that was meant to be broken. His jacket was nowhere to be seen and his black vest top rode up from being upside down. He had a wide smile on his face as he looked at the both of us.
"Oh, Killua, Mishka, I was about to go looking for you two." Gon said as me and Killua entered his room probably. I closed the door behind me as we continued to stare at Gon who didn't seem very bothered by the fact his arm was meant to be broken.
"Uh… Are you really healed?" Killua asked as Gon nodded his head and placed his other hand onto the floor. He walked towards us slightly on his hands. He then pushed himself off his hands and flipped in the air. Gon landed on his feet and turned to his side, smiling widely at us as he jogged on the spot.
"See? I'm perfectly fine!" He said cheerfully making me smile widely at him. I forgot he was a fast healer, which was proven when we went to get Killua again.
"Okay, I get it." Killua said turning his head away. Gon stopped jogging as he looked at us both as Killua looked back at Gon, raising an eyebrow in confusion at him.
"Man, what is your body made of?" Killua asked him confused.
"How to answer that…" Gon said trailing off. Did that mean his body really was made out something different from mine and Killua's? I quickly grabbed his left arm looking at it seriously before putting my fingers and thumb on his hand and rolling them around in circles.
"I don't think his body's made of anything different." I said looking at his hand before looking at Killua and moving Gon's hand towards him.
"Feel!" I said to him with a serious look as Killua looked at me with a slightly irritated look about him.
"No." He said simply as Gon stood rather confused, but decided to laugh it off. I dropped Gon's hand as Killua sighed, looking at the both of us with his eyes half closed and brows furrowed.
"You're both weird." He said to us. Gon looked at him puffing out his cheeks slightly as I glared at him a little. We're not weird; at least I don't think we were.
Gon soon let the air out of his cheeks as he looked at Killua with the normal expressions he had earlier.
"Well? Weren't you about to say something?" Gon asked him. Killua blinked remembering what he was going to do and started digging through his pockets.
"Oh, here." He said digging out three tickets. I looked at them oddly, he never mentioned any tickets before; I wonder when he got him.
"Tickets?" Me and Gon asked at the same time as we looked between the tickets in Killua's hand and at Killua himself. Killua smirked at us as he kept a tight hold on the tickets.
"These aren't just tickets. They're for Hisoka's fight." Killua said to us. I felt my eyes go wide slightly as Gon continued to look at them confused. That was unexpected, really unexpected. Killua was about to continue until we heard Gon's stomach growling. We both looked at him as he rubbed the back of his head laughing slightly.
"I guess the training I've been doing by myself made me hungry." He said as Killua sighed, looking slightly annoyed at being interrupted.
"You should have eaten before training then." Killua said to him as I felt my stomach growl. I placed my hands onto my stomach and pulled a slight face as Killua looked at me, just as annoyed as he was with Gon.
"I forgot to eat last night." I said to him smiling apologetically. Killua sighed once more out of annoyance as he rubbed the back of his neck, closing his eyes.
"You're as bad as each other. It makes me wonder if you two related instead of Mishka being related to Kurapika." He said making the two of us smile widely at him. Killua opened his eyes and looked up slightly, linking his fingers behind his head.
"There's a café nearby, we could go there. I'm getting bored of the food here anyway." He said to us making me and Gon nod our heads. Gon quickly walked over to his bed and put on his jacket before walking back over to us. The only thing we needed to do was draw out some money, well at least I think we had to. I already had some on me as I needed fabric for new clothes and other things.
The three of us made our way to a busy looking Café. We decided to take a table outside, not wanting to sit in a cramped room that much. Killua had ordered a pot of tea as that's all he wanted. So much for being bored of the arena's food. Gon ordered several plates of food and a large glass of orange juice; I guess he was hungry. I just ordered chips and some water, that way if Killua did decide he wanted some he could; and if Gon was still hungry after eating his food then he could have some too. According to my brother I had an appetite of a sparrow, so I didn't eat much. Our food came quite quickly and we had decided to eat before Killua told us how he got the tickets. Gon had finished several plates of food and was on his last one by time Killua had decided to tell us. Killua sat with his arms crossed on the table with his tea in front of him and I picked at my food here and there when listening to Killua.
"As a two hundreds fighter, I got dibs on tickets. The tickets to Hisoka's match are a really hot item. There are even scalpers hawking them." Killua told us smiling at the two of us.
"Hisoka is much more popular than I thought." I said to him in thought as I took a gulp of my water. My chips weren't salty; they just made my mouth dry.
"Oh…" Gon said through his mouthful of food and took another bite from the piece of meat on the bone he had in his hand.
"So I've been gathering information. It turns out that Hisoka's the real deal. He has an eight to three records, with six KO's. Each KO has led to death." Killua said making me look at him questionably. Hisoka had lost matches? That was surprising. If he lost one more he'll be disqualified.
"But he's lost three matches…" Gon said as he finished his food and stacked the plate on top of the others.
I pushed my plate in front of the umbrella that stuck through the table; at least they were there for grabs now. Gon crossed his arms on the table as I did the same; the both of us looking at Killua as he looked between us both.
"If he loses one more he'll be disqualified." I said to Killua, still a bit shocked that Hisoka out of all people had lost matches.
"His three loses were due to forfeits." Killua said making me drop my brows. Well, I shouldn't be too surprised; he forfeited the match with my brother as if it was no big deal; so why should this be any different?
"Forfeits?" Gon questioned him, sounding confused by it. Killua smirked at us cat like as he continued talking.
"He reached the registration deadline, so he signed up for a fight, but didn't show." Killua said making me look at him surprised again.
"Which means…" Gon being trailing off as I spoke up.
"He's really lazy!" I said, looking at Killua with a serious expression on my face. I heard Gon laugh at my statement of Hisoka being lazy while Killua looked at me questionably before shaking his head. It was a nice thought.
"If Hisoka actually fights, he doesn't lose." Killua said making me furrow my brows as Gon nodded his head, agreeing that that was probably the more likely idea.
"Yeah." Gon said looking at Killua seriously himself.
"And his only given up a total of four points. One knock down, three clean hits. He's as strong as a floor master." Killua said holding up three fingers at the end of his little explanation. My brows knitted together as Gon sighed in frustration, I guess that's not what he really wanted to hear.
"I'm in trouble…" Gon said trailing off as Killua dropped his hand back down. Gon propped his elbows onto the table and placed a hand on top of the other, squeezing them together tightly as his arms shook.
We quickly finished off what we had, Gon and Killua had some chips but in the end about half of them were left. It they had size options I would have at least said small. We paid for what we had and quickly left the café. We began to just wonder back to Heavens Arena. Killua had much more to tell us. I stood next to Gon as we walked down the street in the masses of people.
"So, his opponent is some guy named Kastro. Two years ago, he claimed the sole knockdown against Hisoka. And of the four points scored against Hisoka, He's responsible for three." Killua explained. That was impressive; this Kastro guy must be really strong if he scored three points against Hisoka and a knockdown. It also meant he was probably the only one that didn't die while facing Hisoka.
"He scored three points against Hisoka…" Gon said as we found our way back to the escalator's leading up to Heavens Arena.
"You could say they have a history. Apparently, they both registered for the same day so they could fight each other." Killua said as the three of us stepped onto the escalator. I held onto the handle, how Gon and Killua could stand there without holding onto anything was beyond me.
"You should have the change to analyse Hisoka's fighting style. Maybe we'll get to see Hisoka go all-out." Killua said turning his head to smile at the both of us. He seemed excited for the match. I furrowed my brows slightly.
"If it's anything like his hold back style, then I'm not too sure if I want to see it." I said to him, smiling slightly out of nervousness. The sheer thought of Hisoka having a stronger fighting style worried me; and Gon wanted to take him on, that's what worried me more. Gon turned his head to face Killua.
"But is this okay? I promised Wing…" Gon said trailing off. Killua looked at him in slight shock as to what Gon was saying.
"Of course it's okay! You'll just be watching a match." Killua said as we reached the top of the escalator. We bumped into someone and looked up to find a very angry looking Wing glaring down at us through his glasses, although I couldn't see his eyes as there was glare. He had his arms crossed as he looked down. The three of us looked at him with wide eyes, wondering how he got there so fast, but also wondering if he had been following us.
"It is not okay! Viewing a match counts as learning about Nen." He said to us.
"W-Wing…" Gon stuttered, still trying to recover from Wing being there in the first place.
"Don't scare us." Killua said to him.
"It's not very nice." I said to him as we continued to stare at him with wide eyes.
He moved his head up slightly, the glare from his glasses vanishing. Wing looked at Gon in question. Zushi, who I didn't even realise was there until now, had the same determined look on his face as always.
"Gon, has your arm healed?" Wing asked him.
"Y-Yes! It's fine now." Gon said moving his arm up and down into the air by his shoulder to prove his point. Wing continued to glare at the three of us, making me shift slightly. He looked at me after studying Gon.
"Mishka, has your stomach healed?" He asked me as I nodded my head slightly. The stitches were out, so that meant it was healed right?
"The stitches are gone, so I guess." I said to him smiling slightly. Wing gave me a look is disapproval, was my stomach not healed then? I didn't understand, I thought it was. Killua stuffed his hands into his jeans as he leaned forward to look at Wing, smiling widely.
"Since they're recovered, they can watch the match, right?" Killua asked as we continued to block the exit of the escalator. Wing turned his head away and closed his eyes as he spoke, making the three of us watch him in curiosity.
"No, I told Gon and Mishka to wait two months." Wing said, making Killua pull a face with his jaw dropped and brows furrowed. Killua made a sound of disappointment, not happy about not being able to see Hisoka's match with Gon. Wing looked back at us once more, more preciously at Gon.
"Gon, you should spend one more month practising Ten, and recovering from your injuries. The same goes for you as well, Mishka." He said to the both of us. I furrowed my brows slightly and nodded my head.
"Oh…Okay, I understand." Gon said to Wing, although disappointed by his rules.
"Well, then it's fine." Wing said putting his hands on his hips as he turned around to walk away from us. Zushi flung his arms downwards and bowed slightly, closing his eyes.
"Osu! Take care." He said as he stood up straight to catch up with Wing.
We watched the two walk away as Killua closed his eyes, still pulling the face of pure disappointment. I guess he really wanted to see that match.
"Oh, well… You'll both have to watch a recording, so I'll go and see it in person." Killua said turning his head towards us. Gon smiled at him apologetically as I did the same; now we needed something else to do for the evening. Gon nodded his head as thanks to Killua.
Killua had to watch the match live while me and Gon went back to Gon's room to practice Ten some more. Gon walked over to the TV and turned it on, switching to the channel that the match was on. I looked at him questionably as I took my dress tabard off. It was really hot and it made me feel sticky. Gon took off his jacket and shoes as I took off my shoes as well. We both sat on the floor cross legged with the TV on, just listening to the TV. The both of us closed our eyes so we could concentrate better.
"Hello! I'm your announcer, Cocco! Today in Heaven's Arena, we have Kastro versus Hisoka, the match you've all been waiting for!" She announcer said making Gon make a sound. I opened my eyes slightly and looked at him; he had his head turned towards the screen over his shoulder.
"Just look at this crowd!" Cocco shouted as Gon stood up and began walking over to the TV. I watched him over my shoulder as Gon walked over to the TV slowly.
"The match doesn't start for another hour, but the arena is already packed!" Cocco shouted as Gon picked up the remote and turned off the TV. He put it back down again and looked at his hand with the thread tied around it. I continued to watch his back as he sighed and stretched his arms above his head. I smiled over to him.
"It's better this way, we'll just have to watch the recording like Wing said." I said to him as Gon turned his head and nodded. He was disappointed about not being able to watch the match and I could tell that; after all he had his own personal thing against Hisoka. He walked over to his bed and climbed onto it, sitting in the middle and crossing his legs once more. I closed my eyes once more when I saw Gon had closed his and concentrated. This was all I could do. I could hear fidgeting on the bed and opened an eye to look over. Gon had his left hand over his right, shaking as he looked at the bed with the same look he had on the boat to Zevil Island and at the Café. I had come to learn it was a look he had when nervous, maybe to hide it. I furrowed my brows slightly and sighed a little bit.
It had been a while since me and Gon had been practising Ten. I kept my eyes closed the entire time.
"Hisoka…" I heard Gon say making me jump and snap my eyes open. I looked over to Gon who also had his eyes open wide, but not in shock more like in confusion. I looked at Gon with furrowed brows, not understanding what Gon had just felt or anything. I got up off the floor and stretched my arms above my head. My bottom was starting to get numb now. I walked over to the couch and sat on that, crossing my legs. Gon soon sat next to me sitting right in the middle of the couch and crossed his legs as well. At least it was a lot more comfortable than the floor I had been sitting on for the past who knows how many hours. I heard the door open and looked over seeing Killua had entered.
"Killua! How was Hisoka's fight?" Gon asked as Killua came walking through with his hands in his pockets.
"It was boring." Killua said as he walked towards the window. I looked at him confused and furrowed my brows slightly; that didn't sound right.
"Really?" I asked as Killua nodded his head. He stopped in front of the window, his hands never leaving his pockets. Gon uncrossed his legs and got off the couch, never taking his eyes off of Killua.
"Did Hisoka win?" Gon asked him. Killua looked over his shoulder to us and stayed like that for a few seconds, before looking out of the window again.
"I was lying. It was an incredible fight. I hate to admit this, but I have no idea how Hisoka won." Killua said making me looking at him with wide eyes. If Killua didn't know then it must have been something really good, or dreadful.
"You couldn't tell?" Gon asked him looking at him wide eyed. Killua turned to face us again over his shoulder, this time smiling at the both of us. I stood up from the couch myself and patted off my bottom as I watched Killua.
"Gon, Mishka, we need to learn more about Nen." Killua said to us with a determined smile on his face. I smiled widely at him and nodded my head quickly as Gon did the same.
"Yeah!" Gon said agreeing with him.
I think deep down, all of us knew we had to learn more about Nen, if we were ever going to stand a chance against any of these people. Even if Killua had to interest and I didn't want to be here anymore, I think we did it for Gon's sake. I knew one thing was for sure though, if we started something together, we finished it together; rather that was our little adventure until the first of September, or learning Nen…we did it together.
Author Note: I had a friend proof read Kai's Chapter for me. She said I was evil, I said I was British. It was left at that.
I apologise about not updating yesterday, I got too into a game called Hearthstone so when I started writing the chapter is was midnight; usually at midnight I'm about half way done. Also, I apologise that this chapter was a lot shorter than normal. I've had a lot on my mind for the past two days.
