This story has now been taken over by Ayrmed, who is going to re-write and continue the story in my stead, i will just be advising and betaing for assistance. check out the new version on her profile and trust me it is much better. hope those who were disappointed at my ending the fic will be exited and back Ayrmed up in the continuation of it. i will be leaving this version up as an original reference point for those who want to compare.

First let me apologize for the amount of time it took to post this, among significant road blocks I also hit an insurmountable writers block. This story was never meant to be a full Fanfiction, it was only ever supposed to be a one shot.

But i got caught up and ended up writing several chapter that were never meant to be. I will admit it could have been an amazing fic if I had planned it out. A set in stone outline, mile markers, and if I had more creative drive then I may have cont. however i dont see myself completing this story.

if anyone is interested in picking the story up feel free to pm me as i would like to be involved but in the end it would be yours to do as you see fit with, feel free to just take it if you want as well just let me know where i can read it. haha

also if anyone has any questions about any part of the story or how something may have turned out please pm me and ill let you know to the best of my knowledge, now to save those who I told I would continue from another dead fic I will explain in general what would have happened had I completed the story.

1: between Hinata's and Kushina's love Naruto would have overcame his trials in taming the fox.

2: during the battle with the seven ninja swordsman rock lee was going to die, and unlike many shonen series I am a firm believer in tragedy no come backs or second chances here. as much as i wished lelouch had somehow survived at the end of CG im glad everyone who died stayed dead.

3:gai was to lose it and go all eight gates and fuck nearly the entire zetsu army single handed until he too died.

4: Neji's death as normal, no coming back.

5: The five kage vs madara this time with Tsunade dying from the after effects of the teleportation jutsu she used to get to the battle

6: I was planning on using a similar ending to UNS 3 full burst, because i didnt want to get into the whole "zetsu was the brains behind Madara/Obito and the sage mother was behind him bullshit". Naruto beats Obito, Kakashi defers kageship to Naruto though he takes place as adviser to help with diplomatic and clerical issues.

7: after a long road to recovery for both of them Naruto and Hinata marry and have a daughter.

Sakura glanced at the clock on the wall as she continued pacing in her small apartment. Naruto and Hinata's wedding was only a few hours away, she felt content that they had ended up together. she didn't know what would have happened if Naruto had still held onto his feeling for her after all this time. it would have made this so much harder.

She stopped pacing to stand still and stare at the original picture of team seven nearly five years ago now and let out a shaking sigh as she placed the letter on top of the picture frame balancing it carefully so it wouldn't fall. she then took her right glove off and stared at her hand, a hand that had done so much in such a short life.

she remembered back to the academy and staring at this same hand and wondering exactly what it was capable of. at the time she had envisioned countless jutsu to be weaved. endless missions to be completed. holding hands with Sasuke under a full moon. now she remembered what they had actually accomplished, finding bravery in her hands during the chunnin exams when this hand cut her hair to escape and fight for her team, training under Tsunade in order to help and save people, using that gift for Konkoro in the hidden sand when no one else could save him, defeating Sasori with that last blow, success after success until the one time when she had no choice the one defeat she couldn't live with.

she had killed Sasuke, Sakura held no ill will towered Naruto, he was always closer to Sasuke than she had been, they had been best friends and rival's and his pain must have been tremendous, he was the only person she could think of that could know how she felt. but she had loved him, Sasuke had been the only one she could love and not even Naruto could understand that. this damn hand of hers had betrayed the one she loved more than anything in this world. and with that thought she lifted her other hand and saw the chakra run through it as it always had, razor sharp and finely honed enough to cut steel she slowly placed her left finger against her right wrist and ran it down halfway to the elbow.

A fleeting though crossed her mind and she felt silly for a moment, this is going to be a hell of a job to clean up from the carpet. then the pain hit and she gasped a little as she blocked off the pain with her chakra network. she refocused her eyes on the picture in front of her again as she felt the blood run down her arm and fingers, flowing thick and heavy to the floor. tears streamed down her good eye as she stared at the picture.

her mind flashing through every memory of her childhood and teen years in mere seconds, finally coming to a stop on a picture of Sasuke smiling one of the few time's he had in front of her, and she remained with that thought until her vision started to blur and faded into a haze. she didn't even feel as her knee's crashed to the floor in a growing puddle of blood, until her vision cleared once more and saw the wall in front of her. she closed her eye for the last time and with a final thought told Sasuke that she was coming. her body slumping backwards as Sakura left the Ninja world behind for good.

The letter Sakura wrote and placed on the picture read as such. "Dear Naruto, you've been with me from the very beginning if anyone could understand why I've done this it's you. with Sasuke's death I lost my purpose, with Lee I lost my confidence, With Tsunade I lost myself, and with Neji I lost Hope. my only reason until now was to see the end of the war through. I've lost too much and honestly I just can't face a tomorrow. I am truly glad you found someone to share your life with. Hinata pulled you through so much, I know she can pull you this as well. I am so happy you finally achieved your dream and became Hokage, I know you'll be the best there ever will be and they will tell stories of your heroic's for centuries to come. I know you haven't reached your peak yet, but you will. just (Believe It) and you'll someday reach the star's."
