Chapter 338
Buffy and Faith discussed the dissapearences of Anne and the kids while at the Double-meat Palace. Whatever battle they would soon go into they still needed to keep up their strength. It was late Thursday night. The slayer and potential slayer knew it was likely the Concillium Mortuum behind this, keeping fresh blood around. They apparently couldn't simply buy blood from Willy like other vampires did. Their demonic nature was too strong. Buffy and Faith wanted to rescue these people, if they were still alive. The problem was they had no idea where they were. Then they were helped by a most likely source. Dracula walked into this restaurant and approached the two ladies.
Dracula: I'm here to help.
Faith: And we should trust you why?
Dracula: If you want to rescue the hostages, those still alive, you'll need my help. I can tell you where they are, stop my associates from killing until you arrive with reinforcements.
Buffy: You do remember that you're a vampire right?
Dracula: One who fears death more than those to whom it comes naturally. Kakistos is out of control. He needs to be neutralized for us to be allies.
Faith: You actually think we'd work with you after this?
Dracula: To stop the Master and stop his plans for apocalypse, yes.
Buffy: What do you want in return?
Dracula: For now, merely my own life. And the lives of those not killing humans. You must kill Kakistos and his allies. They're too dangerous to be left alive.
Faith: Deal, but if my friend is dead, I'll dust you myself.
Dracula: Fair enough.
