Buffy and Faith got some allies to help their siege on Castle Dracula. The namesake was suppossedly on their side, but that alliance seemed tenuous at best. Gunn and Riley agreed to help. Faith would've preferred more soldiers, but colonel Mcnamara had his hands full with some issue that he couldn't go into at the moment. The four of them fought Kakistos and his allies. Kakistos was the hardest to defeat, but Faith dusted him. With Dracula's help they won. Buffy's team saved thirty people, including Ricky and Denver. But they were too late to save others. Gunn saw the severed head of his Imam, Syed Ali. He knew the vampires had desecrated his body to mock islam. Possibly Dracula' doing. Faith saw Anne's body. She had failed. Possibly the only real friend she had in this town. Dracula was nowhere to be seen. They had warned him what would happen if Anne died. If Faith saw Dracula again, she would destroy him.
