A big thank you to Anime lover, Just a Cadbury and all silent readers!
Anime lover – Don't worry it happens
Just a Cadbury – Indeed, but can you figure out who she is?
Chapters may be slower out as I'm getting into a much more hectic routine, but I promise they will not be once a month! More likely once a week. Thank you very one that said good luck with the dog! He's calming down a lot now that he's getting two one hour walks a day.

Me, Killua and Leorio sat in a darkened room inside the café. We sat on the second floor, keeping out of view from the window. It was Leorio who was speaking on the phone with two people we managed to persuade to help, but it came at a price for us. We watched the two people through the window in complete darkness. The people we were watched was a lady with long pink hair that seemed messy at the front. She wore a purple tracksuit jumper with black stripes and black tracksuit bottoms. The guy next to her had long black hair and very bored looking eyes. He wore a long greenish grey shirt with grey trousers. They were both drinking beer, talking among themselves. For wanted people they certainly didn't care much about being in the open.

I felt a mixture of emotions, scared, angry, worried and anxious. But we had to stay here, with Leorio talking to the couple down below and Killua waiting for his instructions with a chocolate milkshake in front of him. Me and Leorio had a cup of tea in front of us; mine was unsweetened, couldn't stand it having sugar or sweetener in it. Gon sat next to Leorio watching him closely, a chocolate milkshake in front of him as well as I sat next to Killua, watching the window closely.

After a few minutes Leorio rung the girl with brown hair tied into a side pony tail. She wore a white skin tight tank top. The person with her, who was a guy with short brown hair, looked at her wide eyed as Leorio rung her. She placed her hand over her mouth and turned her head as she answered the phone.
"I'm the one who submitted the request." Leorio said to her quietly through the phone. He paused as she spoke to him through the phone, a small smirk on his face. Leorio turned his head slightly towards the window as I continued to watch out of it with Killua stared at his phone.
"Stop looking around… I can see you. It's the couple behind your boyfriend? I'll wire you the money now, so please confirm receipt." Leorio spoke quietly to her through the phone. That was Killua's indication to send the money through. He pressed a few buttons on the phone and sent the money to the guy. I watched the man's reaction, he showed his girlfriend who instantly got up and nodded her head to the side, telling her boyfriend to do that same.

After the couple left, Leorio hung up the phone and looked at me and Killua.
"Okay, we should decide our next move. How do we catch those two?" Leorio questioned us as the three of us looked up to him. Leorio had a serious look on his face, he was determined to catch them; but if I was honest, I don't think any of them should get involved. Even though Gon and Killua said they would help back when we were on Whale Island, I was kind of regretting letting them do so.
"It's impossible." Killua said making me, Leorio and Gon look at him wide confused. I picked up my cup between my hands and took a small sip as I watched Killua. He lazily leaned an elbow onto the table top and rested his hand into the open palm.
"We aren't strong enough to handle them." Killua said point blank to Leorio. Leorio stood up, slamming his hands on the table as he glared at Killua for his statement.
"What was that? We won't know until we try! And why are you saying this now?" He said and asked Killua. I sighed slightly and placed my cup down onto the table, gazing into the tea and rubbing a finger across the side of the cup.
"Quiet…they'll notice us." Killua said straight forwardly to Leorio, not moving an inch from how he was sitting.

Leorio sunk back into his chair, sighing slightly to himself.
"Killua's right." I said to him. Leorio looked at me shocked as Gon looked at me questionably. Killua stared from the corner of his eyes as I kept my gaze on the cup and table.
"If they can kill a clan of one hundred plus people in an hour or two without thinking or breaking a sweat then what chance do we have?" I asked him, sinking into my chair. Silence fell around us as Killua nodded his head, agreeing with my statement.
"So that proves it. I also knew it as soon as I saw them." Killua said, looking at his milkshake and grabbing the glass. He kept his head lazily in his open palm as he glared at the glass.
"My dad once had a hit on a Troupe member." Killua said, making me bring my head up from looking at my cup and watch him wide eyed. He brought the glass over and drank some of his drink before speaking once more.
"One of the few times I've ever heard him complain." Killua said, pausing to drink more of his drink. I sat up straight in the chair, keeping my own grip on the tea cup as I continued to watch him in our darkened room.
"Said the job wasn't worth the price." Killua said the straw still in his mouth. He pushed the glass away and looked up at Leorio again, his head never shifting from his open palm.
"That's considered the greatest compliment a target can get. That was when he told us to stay away from the Troupe." Killua said to us. I furrowed my brows slightly as Killua stared at the base of the glass.
"It's been a few years, so I thought we might stand a chance…" Killua said, trailing off in his sentence. His eyes never left the base of the glass.

Leorio leaned forward slightly, taking in Killua's words.
"They're really that strong?" Leorio asked him, making Killua snap his head up to him and looked at him wide eyed.
"Would it help you to picture two Hisoka's sitting there?" Killua asked him. Gon and Leorio had disturbed looks on their faces as I shivered slightly; one Hisoka was enough two would be too much. The saying "too much of a bad thing" came to my mind as I pictured it.
"That is definitely not something we can handle." Leorio said quietly as Gon's eyebrows twitched in disturbance at whatever it was he was imagining. Killua leaned his head back into his hand once more as he looked up to Leorio.
"So, why do you think they're here?" Killua asked Leorio. Leorio regained his composure and looked at Killua blankly as he spoke.
"Aren't they on a date?" Leorio questioned him. Gon's angered and determined look changed to one of surprise and confusion.
"Huh? Really?" Gon questioned him. Killua shook his head to Gon's question.
"No. They noticed that other couple behind them. They're paying close attention to their surroundings. At first, I thought it was just caution because the mafia is after them. But in that case, they wouldn't be sitting in a public place. They aren't worried at all." Killua said to us with a straight forward look on his face. I took a quick glance out of the window; they were just sitting there, happily drinking their canned beer. I knitted my brows together, they really didn't fear anything.
"They're waiting for someone to find them. Acting as bait, to draw out their prey." Killua pointed out as I continued to stare out of the window, watching them from the distance. They were truly frightening, even when so far away.

I felt my body turn stiff and my eyes go wide as I continued to watch them from the window of our darkened room. Everyone's body turned stuff, sweat dripping down our faces as all our eyes went wide. The air around us was suffocating.
"The atmosphere changed." Killua pointed out to us.
"I've got a really bad feeling…" Gon said as I continued stare at them.
"It's suffocating and feels dangerous…" I trailed off.
"Did they notice us?" Leorio questioned.
"It's okay. They haven't noticed us yet." Killua reassured him. Leorio sat up slightly and looked at Killua questioningly.
"Are you sure? Besides, I can't use Zetsu like you guys to mask my presence." Leorio said. I shook my head slightly, looking at him slightly myself, knitting my brows together.
"It wouldn't be wise right now." I said to him making the older man look at me in question, an eyebrow raised in confusion. Killua removed his head from the palm of his hand as he looked up at Leorio as well.
"If we used Zetsu, that would attract their attention. They aren't trying to sense Nen. They're trying to see if there's anyone who looks who acts suspicious." Killua explained, picking off the cherry from his milkshake and popping it into his mouth as he spoke. It was rude to speak with your mouth full, but the time to bring it up was not appropriate right now.
"So you better wipe those looks off your faces. Act normal." Killua said to us. Gon and Leorio smiled widely as if they were cats sunbathing; it actually looked kind of creepy. I took a deep breathe then smiled slightly to myself, trying to act as normal as possible.
"Sorry, that was a bad idea." Killua pointed out at the looks on Gon's and Leorio's faces.

We stayed silent. I took another sip of my tea, trying to act as normal of possible; but that was better said than done.
"You should think about getting some contacts." Killua said making me look at him in question. Gon and Leorio looked at me. Leorio nodded his head, agreeing with Killua.
"You're eyes turn scarlet a lot more than Kurapika's." Leorio pointed out as I nodded my head and picked up my tea cup taking another sip.
"I guess…But contacts are really scary, you're putting things into your eyes!" I said to them, furrowing my brows but keeping my voice low. Gon smiled widely at me with a small laugh as Leorio sighed slightly. Killua looked at me with a bored expression, leaning his hand back into his open palm once more.
"You'll get used to it. It's for your own protection anyway." Leorio said to me. I looked at Leorio frowning widely at him.
"If it's that easy then why don't you wear contacts?" I questioned him. Leorio glared at me slightly as he adjusted his glasses by the arm.
"These are shades not glasses; they're not the same thing." He said to me making me sigh slightly. Guess I kind of lost that argument.
"I'll get some contacts." I said to them, dropping my head and closing my eyes with a wide frown.
"Make sure they're black ones. Scarlet eyes will show through coloured ones." Killua said with his straw in his mouth as I nodded my head, agreeing to get some that were black and not coloured. No better time to learn how to put things into your eyes then the present I guess.

I placed my teacup down and looked out of the window. The two members we were watching started to get up to leave. I poked Killua's arm as he drank through his straw. He looked at me with an eyebrow raised as I nodded my head towards the window. Taking the straw out from his mouth, Killua looked out of the window himself and nodded his head slightly, looking back at Leorio and Gon.
"They're on the move. What should we do? As I told you, we can't beat them in a fight." Killua said and pointed out at the same time to Leorio. Leorio looked out of the window himself and smirked as he watched the two Troupe members walk away.
"We'll find a way… We have to." Leorio said making me look at him with wide eyes. Did Leorio have a death wish?
"Yeah. We can't leave empty-handed." Gon said as I looked at him with wide eyes, and then furrowed my brows. They both had a death wish; there was no doubt about that. Killua closed his eyes.
"Okay. Then listen carefully." Killua said making me look at him with wide eyes. Were we seriously going along with this? I couldn't help but sigh to myself, I was determined to help my brother catch the Phantom Troupe, no doubt about that; but I felt bad dragging Gon and Killua with me to do it and with Leorio tagging along…that made me feel worse.

We looked at Killua as he began explaining his plan, exiting from our seats in the darkened café room. We all had a serious look on our faces. I took a stand next to Gon as I held my hands by my sides.
"Gon, Mishka and I will tail them." Killua said as I nodded my head. I was glad he was including me on following them, not only because I felt like it was probably the right thing to do but also because it meant I was helping them psychically. Three against those two would be better and probably more evenly matched if the unthinkable happened then just two.
"We absolutely cannot let them spot us. We'll use Zetsu." Killua explained to us. That made more sense, Leorio couldn't use Zetsu, so him following them wouldn't be a great idea. We watched as Killua used Zetsu, masking his presence. Leorio looked amazed as he stared at Killua. Killua turned to me and Gon, holding up two fingers.
"Gon, Mishka, I need you to make two promises. If they see us, we'll give up immediately and escape. If I judge that further pursuit is impossible for any other reason, we give up. Got it?" Killua questioned us as he looked between the two of us. Me and Gon nodded our heads agreeing with Killua. I wanted to catch them, but I didn't want someone being the bearer of bad news to my brother that I got myself killed trying to pursuit them by myself. I didn't want to think about it.
"The signal to stop will be one phone call. Make sure your phone's on vibrate. If they split up, we follow the woman." Killua explained as we nodded our heads again. Me and Gon took our phone's out of our pocket and began putting them on vibrate. Once down, we pocketed our phones once more and looked at Killua seriously.

Killua looked at us for a second seriously once more before looking up at Leorio, the look never leaving his face. We walked over to the cashier, who smiled widely at us and paid for our drinks. After they were paid for we walked out of the café and down the stairs.
"Leorio, contact Zepile, and keep an eye on the auction for us." Killua explained as we headed down the stairs and stood outside, looking up at him with a serious look on our faces. Leorio shoved a hand into his suit trouser pocket and nodded his head at Killua.
"Got it." Leorio said to him simply. Killua turned to Gon, placing a hand onto his hips.
"I'm guessing you have never tailed anyone before?" Killua asked Gon. I had once and that was with Killua when we were after the guys who kidnapped Zushi just to get Gon to fight them. That was the first, and only time I had ever tailed someone. Gon looked at Killua as he spoke.
"Um…Well… During the Hunter Exam, I trailed Hisoka." Gon said, taking Killua back by surprise. Killua looked at him wide eyed.
"Really? Without his noticing?" Killua questioned him. Gon looked away slightly, furrowing his brows just a little bit as he explained his little story.
"Yeah, I was on his tail for a whole day." Gon said to him. Killua continued to look at him in shock and wide eyes as Leorio smiled widely at him, surprised by Gon's little story. I remained unfazed, as he told what had happened to me and my brother on the air ship.
"Wow, not bad." Leorio praised at him, smiling widely. Killua suddenly lifted up his hand and curled it into a fist. He then swung it at the back of Gon's head, hitting him head and forcing Gon to drop his body a little. I gasped slightly as I looked at Killua wide eyed. Gon looked at him with furrowed brows and a wide frown as he rubbed the back of his head.
"Ow…Why did you hit me?" Gon questioned him.
"Uh, it seemed appropriate." Killua answered back blankly. I looked at Killua wide eyed at his response that was his first response when someone did a good job was to hit them around the back of the head?
"Well, then you should have no problem. Be sure to stay out of their field of vision. Okay, let's go." Killua said, turning his head towards Leorio, signalling for all of us to go.
"Yeah!" The three of us said, raising our fists into the air. We turned on the balls of our feet and began running behind Leorio, using Zetsu to cover our presence as we began following our targets. I had to remain calm; I had to tell myself, I was doing this for everyone that is gone now and more importantly my brother.

Me, Gon and Killua had taken different positions around the area they were going, watching their every move. I had my phone in one hand as we made a three way conversation.
"The targets have passed the plaza and entered a side street." Killua said as I quickly moved from my spot. I stayed on the roof tops, running across them as I quietly tailed the two. I felt scared and angry, but my fear was worse than my anger. I couldn't see Gon or Killua anywhere as I quickly stopped behind a chimney and watched them.
"Okay, confirmed. Do they know we're here?" Gon questioned through the phone. I shook my head, although they couldn't see; at least I thought they couldn't see.
"I don't think so." I whispered through the phone so that they couldn't hear me; I didn't want to be the one giving away out position.
"It's okay. We're using Zetsu, so they shouldn't notice us unless something's really wrong. But they're on constant guard against pursuers, so stay vigilant." Killua spoke through the phone to the two of us. I nodded my head slightly, moving from my spot once more as the pair was coming out of sight.
"Yeah. You too." Gon said to us. I heard the phone lines go dead, meaning they hung up. I pocketed my phone quickly. I continued to follow them, suddenly becoming very away of my surroundings and actions.

I followed them as they walked through the busy streets of Yorknew, staying close enough to keep an eye on them but far enough to not be seen. I couldn't help but look at them with a small glare all the time I was following. I couldn't remember the faces of the people that caught me and Pairo the day the clan was murdered, but it didn't matter; they were all the same really.

The pair walking didn't seem fazed, they had no idea there were three of us following them. They walked to a beat up and deserted area. I continued to follow them, I couldn't feel my phone vibrate and even when I checked it quickly there was nothing flashing. That must mean that Killua thought to was safe enough to follow. I had followed them both to a large deserted part of town, filled with broken buildings. I hide myself on the roof of one of the buildings, looking just over the edge of the peak of the roof, my hands gripping tightly onto the tiles as I laid down, keeping myself as close to the roof as I psychically could. They were talking, but about what I couldn't hear. The small glare on my face remained, my vision being only slightly red; my fear still greater than anger. I was trying so hard not to let Scarlet eyes show.

I felt my phone vibrate making me jump slightly. I quietly and slowly reached for my phone and took it out of my pocket. Flipping it open I slowly brought it to my ear, watching their every move.
"Hey Killua, Mishka." Gon began saying down the phone.
"They're waiting for someone or trying to lure us out. One or the other." Killua whispered down the phone.
"They were speaking, but I don't know what about." I whispered down the phone myself, keeping it close to my ear as I watched the two from over the peak of the roof.
"Do they know we're following them?" Gon questioned quietly through the phone. I shrugged my shoulders slightly, although they probably couldn't see.
"Right now it's fifty-fifty. But they don't know our location. They want to draw us out because they don't know where we are. They're inviting us to show ourselves." Killua said through the phone. I swallowed the lump in my throat as I continued to watch them, staying still on the roof top.
"What should we do?" Gon asked in a whisper.
"They may be waiting for someone else. Hold your positions and wait." Killua instructed me and Gon. I nodded my head in understanding.

I heard ringing and looked down at the two. The guy with the long black hair took his phone out of her pocket.
"Gon, Mishka, I'm hanging up. Pay close attention. If they give any kind of reaction we'll run for it! Escape as soon as I rung the phone. Got it?" Killua instructed us, making me nod my head again. The woman's phone continued ringing.
"Yeah, got it." Gon said as I nodded my head.
"Me to." I whispered down the phone. The phone line went dead as the man answered his phone. Quietly I pocketed my phone as I watched them closely; I could feel myself sweating in fear. The man suddenly looked in my direction before looking in two other directions. I gasped to myself as I quickly let go of the roof with the hand that was holding it and made a dash down the side of the roof in fear. As I hit the bottom of the roof I looked down only to see the girl with the long black hair and red eared hat looking up at me with her hands in her pockets and a wide smile on her face, Chi. I looked at her wide eyed, she was a spider! My fear rose into my throat as I looked at her with wide eyes my vision entirely red from fear as I stared at her. I was scared, very scared. I didn't know the woman and she scared me so much.

I had to get away. I quickly turned on the balls of my feet and ran across the roof. I quickly jumped down only to stop on the spot my eyes wide in fear.
"You've seen a terrible fate, haven't you?" She questioned me as I turned around to look at her in fear. My breathing got heavy. I felt like I was living a nightmare, no matter where I turned it was still there. All she did was stare at me with a hand out, that was it; and yet I could see what was classed as my worse fear in front of me. Everyone I knew, suffering the same fate as my clan all those years ago, eyeless and lifeless; just lying there. I don't even know how she was doing; or maybe I did in the back of my mind and I didn't want to admit it. I continued to stare at her wide eyed with red vision, sweating and pale as my breathing was heavy.
"I think you know the chain user, you look a lot like him and you even smell like him so I think you're related." Chi said walking closer to me and I couldn't even so much as move back. She dropped her arm. The nightmare went away as she continued to walk forward. I couldn't move back though, I was too scared. And who was this chain user? She looked at me slightly surprised.
"You have scarlet eyes, I thought they were wiped out years ago…We got lucky today." Chi said as she stopped in front of me and leaned over, placing her hands on her hips. I just stared at her wide eyed, my mouth slightly agape. I couldn't even make a noise.

I tried to swallow, but it was becoming impossible. The girl closed her eyes and sighed to herself, standing up straight and taking off her hat, revealing two fox like ears with white fur poking out.
"Man, you really are quiet." She said, running a hand through her hair as I watched her in fear. I could feel my phone vibrate indicating I had to run. I quickly jolted the other way only to be stopped once more. However, I only came face to face with an eyeless brother. I covered my mouth with my hands as I looked in front of me before hunching forward, trying to keep what was coming up to stay down. I felt sick, really sick. It didn't work; I threw up, sick filtering through my hands and onto the ground.
"Don't try to run, it'll only get worse." I heard Chi say behind me. She walked forward, her hat back on her head and a bored dull look in her eyes. My phone continued to vibrate as she dropped her hand and grabbed my shoulders, turning me around. The sight was no longer there, but my hands still covered my mouth.
"Don't struggle and do as I say and it'll be over quickly, 'kay?" She said to me as I stayed on the spot.

I heard a phone ring and felt myself stiffen. Chi took a hand off my shoulder and answered her phone as I stayed where I was, my hands still covering my mouth and eyes wide in fear with furrowed brows.
"Hmm, okay, got it." She said and quickly hung up the phone. Through the corner of my eyes I could see she had leaned down next to my shoulder.
"They boys you're with have given up." She said to me simply as I quickly looked at her in fear. She smiled gently at me.
"You're coming with me, so remove your hands from your mouth." She said to me. Out of fear I did exactly what she said and let my hands drop to my sides. She continued to smile gently as she took a hold of my shoulders once more and began leading me away from the area.

I was bungled into a car with several other people and to my relief two of them were Gon and Killua, unharmed and alive. I gritted my teeth together as I looked at them wanting to cry but I couldn't, I was too scared. The two looked at me wide eyed, my vision was still red which meant my eyes were still red too. The car was cramped, me, Gon and Killua were squashed together as a woman sat next to me and a man sat next to Gon. Chi had chosen to sit on the floor for what reason I didn't know. The car drove away from the abandoned area it was parked at and headed onto the motor way, taking us to who knew where.
"I'll ask again. Do you know the chain user?" The woman sitting next to me asked, her arms crossed over her chest. She had blonde short hair and a very big nose. She wore a purple suit that was unbuttoned quite a bit.
"My answer is the same. I don't." Gon answered angrily. Who was the chain user? Chi said I looked like him and smelt like him, so who was he?
"I see. How about you. Any guesses." The woman questioned Killua next as she leaned over me to put an arm around him. Killua remained still and silent as the car came to a stop.

It stopped at an abandoned building that looked like it was falling apart. The fence was rusty. We all got out of the car, me, Gon and Killua in the middle of all of them. I tried to calm myself down, but was finding it very difficult to do so; we were surrounded by spiders! And one of them could make me see things I didn't want to see; it was frightening. I couldn't help but close my eyes tightly, just silently wishing to myself to calm down and that when I opened my eyes again my vision would be normal. When I did it remained the same.

We entered the broken building, following the woman in the purple suit. She led us through a long hallway before stopping and holding out a hand. The three of us stopped as she looked at us calmly.
"Welcome to our base." She said to us as we walked around the corner. Gon, Killua's and I all looked shocked at what we saw in front of us, a whole load of spiders, sitting or standing among the damages of the building, just staring at us. The one that did catch my eye though was Hisoka sitting there with them. That only made my fear worse and prolonged my Scarlet eyes.
