A big thank you to Anime lover, Rina Dragonfly, Weird Guest, OkitaRin and all silent readers!
Anime lover – Wooray for growing up!
Weird guest – I intend to make a sequel for when she is older, but I do not intend for her to be a Mary Sue.
OkitaRin – I'm glad you think she's cute! I am planning on re-writing the earlier chapters, although when I'm not sure as I'm writing these after work. When these are re-written though, I'll try and see what dialogue is not needed.

Kurapika had gone to change into a disguise so that his true identity wouldn't be revealed. Leorio had gone outside to grab the car and bring it to the front of the hotel. Me and Gon stood alone in the lobby of the hotel, trying to think of our strategy for distracting the Phantom Troupe. We thought long and hard, before Gon broke the silence.
"I think we should stick together." Gon said, clenching his fists tightly. I looked at him from the corner of my eyes before turning my head to fully face him. Gon turned his head and faced me straight on.
"If we stick together we have a better chance escaping together. We should only split up if we need to." Gon said to me. I thought about it and nodded my head agreeing with him.
"They know I have Scarlet eyes, we can use that to our advantage to keep them distracted." I said to him, holding a finger to my lips.
"But we need to keep that to ourselves. I'll remove my contacts when we get somewhere safe for one second." I said to him as Gon nodded his head. I would have to keep them in for now while we were in the car with Kurapika and Leorio so that it didn't look like me and Gon were up to anything; but if we wanted to give Kurapika the time we needed to do this. Kurapika came out in his disguise as Leorio entered the building, shouting to us that the car was outside. Me and Gon quickly nodded our heads, and ran over to Leorio and then outside towards the car; this hunt was finally becoming real.

We sat in the car driving down the deserted motor way. We had left it a while before going after Killua; he was keeping us updated on everything that was happening. Kurapika's disguise was a long silver wig with big round black sunglasses, a black puffy looking hat and a black long sleeved shirt with trousers; he kind of looked like those guys you find in café's that made very depressing poetry.

Leorio sat in the driver's seat with Kurapika next to him. Me and Gon sat in the back, looking over the shoulders of the two older boys without removing ourselves from the seat. We were determined to do this; in fact we could do this; we knew we could do this.

Kurapika's phone started ringing. He quickly took it out of his pocket and pressed a button on the screen accepting the call. Killua was the one who called him, we only knew because Kurapika put him onto loud speaker for all of us to hear.
"That is most likely a Conjurers work." Kurapika said into the phone. I sat up slightly, grabbing the shoulders of the chair and looked over his shoulder a little bit. There was a badly drawn picture of Killua on the screen with numbers underneath showing how long the call had been going on.
"Yeah, that's gotta be it. These buildings weren't here yesterday. This has to be Nen." Killua said through the phone speaker.
"Man, these guys are really crazy…" Leorio said to us, keeping his eyes on the road.
"They have someone who can conjure entire buildings!" Leorio shouted annoyed as he turned the wheel making the car skid around the corner from the lack of grip on the road.

I quickly sat back onto my seat, putting my hands on the seat between my legs as I looked through the gap of the two front seats with Gon; staring at the road ahead of us. We were nervous, acting as a decoy against the Phantom Troupe was not going to be easy.
"It's safe to assume that they're rigged somehow." Kurapika said out loud.
"Yeah. That tells us they're still using this place as their base. The problem is that these buildings create too many blind spots. I can only watch twenty percent of the area at a time." Killua explained through the phone speakers. Gon grabbed a hold of the shoulder of Leorio's chair with a hand and leaned forward. I kept my hands on the seat between my legs and leaned forward myself. I could feel my heart racing, it felt like it was going to burst out through my chest at any moment.
"But if you move around too much, you could run into one of them." Kurapika explained back to Killua.
"I'd like to avoid that. I mean, I have no idea what I'd do if I heard their voices behind me… My heart is pounding." Killua said. I looked at the shoulder of my brothers chair, inching towards it once more and leaned forward, looking over Kurapika's shoulder once more. I opened my mouth to say something, but Kurapika beat me to saying anything.
"Voice?" Kurapika muttered to himself as Gon came over himself and leaned around the side of the chair, looking at the phone in Kurapika's hand.
"Huh?" Killua questioned, snapping Kurapika out of his little train of thought.
"Oh, never mind. I read you. For now, return to your original position. I'll call you back in five minutes." Kurapika explained and instantly hung up the phone afterwards.

He began flicking through the phone, using his thumb to scroll through the contacts. Me and Gon watched closely with interest. He found a number and pressed it, ringing that person. I only just about saw that they were called Melody, the same person Kurapika was speaking to a while ago; the girl with the pretty name.
"Hello? Melody? How's it going on your side?" Kurapika questioned down the phone.
"We're still shopping. This might be harder than regular bodyguard work. Basho's about to snap." I heard Melody say down the phone. Her voice was really nice, it was very softly spoken and very gentle, she must have been a really nice person.
"You need to keep him under control." Kurapika said to Melody.
"Yes, I know." She said to Kurapika, which was shortly followed by a bang on the floor. It sounded like something, or someone, had fallen over.

We had stopped on a very quiet road with no cars about. Leorio had been the one to brave the rain to get a sandwich for himself and Kurapika some coffee. I couldn't understand why he liked that stuff, it was so bitter. Leorio had offered to get us something; but we both declined. I felt like if I ate or drank something right now I would only see it again in a matter of minutes. Once they had returned, Gon took out his phone and began flicking through the numbers until he found Killua's. He held his phone out so that the speaker and microphone was facing outwards. We both placed our heads on either side of the phone.
"Killua?" Gon asked him.
"The woman's here. She's with her buddies. There are six, moving together. That topknot guy's here, too. And that woman with the ear hat." Killua said down the phone. We had found that those three were the most dangerous at the moment. The woman because she could read minds, the topknot guy because he was after Kurapika, and the ear hat woman because she could make you see your greatest fear. All them combined, they were probably the strongest people we'd ever come across.

I looked at the phone through the corner of my eyes as Gon pulled a face; remembering topknot guy.
"One more thing. There's one person that wasn't there yesterday. He's probably the leader." Killua said to us.
"Can you describe what he looks like?" Gon asked as we both looked at the phone, determination across both our faces.
"He's wearing a black coat, with St. Peter's cross on the back. He has combed-back black hair. I can't see his face. And they're too alert! I'm too afraid to circle around in front." Killua described to us before shouting his last part in a whisper to us. If Killua was afraid, you knew it was something to fear.

Kurapika held out his hand towards me and Gon and looking over his shoulder slightly to look at us through his giant sunglasses.
"Let me speak to him." He instructed. Gon passed over the phone; it meant we wouldn't hear what was being said now; only Kurapika's words would be heard by us. In a way, it was annoying as me and Gon wanted to hear what Killua was saying. The two of us quickly looked over either side of Kurapika's shoulder, a hand on one chair shoulder each. Kurapika turned around quickly and held up a map as he held the phone to his ear.
"Where are you now?" Kurapika asked and paused, listening to Killua's answer.
"There's a station nearby. Can you make it onto their train? Leorio, take us south." Kurapika said, holding the phone away from his ear and looking at Leorio who was about to take a bite out of his sandwich. Leorio shoved the sandwich into his mouth and reached back to put his seatbelt on.
"Okay!" Leorio said with his mouth full as he clicked the seatbelt in place. He pressed his foot onto the gas pedal hard, making the car run forward quickly and then skidded around making a U-turn. He sped up the road we had come down on.
"Killua, I'm hanging up, I'll call you back." Kurapika said and immediately hung up the phone.

He handed it back to Gon, who took it quickly and pocketed it. Kurapika then took out his phone and rang Killua back, putting him on loud speaker.
"Where are you all?" Kurapika questioned into the phone as me and Gon stayed leaning over each chair shoulder, looking over Kurapika's shoulders.
"Melody's in the same car as they are. This train's headed toward Castor. I'm in the last car." Killua explained as Kurapika quickly looked at the map once more.
"Okay, call me back when you find out more." Kurapika said as he hung up the phone. He kept the phone in his hand as he stared at it, dragging his head away from the map in his other hand.
"Castor…" Kurapika said trailing off.
"The auction site's that way." Gon explained as we looked at the map.
"So is our hotel…" Kurapika said trailing off.

Leorio had stopped the car on a street. It was busier than the last one we stopped at, people stood in the rain on this one and why was beyond me; it was wet and miserable out there; I wouldn't want to be out there unless I really had to. Kurapika's phone began ringing once more; he answered it and placed it next to his ear, this time opting out of having it on loud speaker.
"That's not good. The hotel's that way." Kurapika said, hanging up the phone without saying goodbye. He flicked through his phone and pressed a person's name, dialling that number.
"Move rooms, they know we're not in the original room." Kurapika said simply to the person on the other end of the phone. All I could hear was shouting coming from his speaker before he hung up the phone all together.

Leorio began driving the car one more. The ride was quiet as he stopped the car where Kurapika told him, behind a big black van.
"The station's over there. Shouldn't we get closer?" He questioned as me and Gon stared at the back of a van that was in front of us.
"No. If we get any closer, they might sense my animosity." Kurapika explained as me and Gon stayed standing in the car, a hand on the shoulder of the chair Kurapika sat in.
"Gon, Mishka, the range I should stay at is the distance from here to the station entrance. I must attack from this distance if I don't want to be noticed. It will take approximately zero point five seconds to land an attack. That's more than enough time for them to evade it. Unless they're distracted…" Kurapika explained to us as the two of us looked forward, glares sitting on our faces. Only zero point five seconds was all Kurapika needed, that was all they needed to do dodge the move. Me and Gon had to really work together in order to get them distracted long enough. We had to stick to our plan for this to work.

The three of us gasped as we saw the group walk out of the station. The man with the black coat in the middle of the rest of them. No one else seemed to take notice of them just waltzing out of the station when they were meant to be dead. Or maybe that was because they didn't know what they looked like.
"Spiders!" Kurapika spat angrily. It looked like they were talking and then they suddenly bolted in a direction. Kurapika quickly turned his head in the direction they were running.
"They're running toward the hotel. They're fast!" Kurapika said as me and Gon leaned on the chair shoulders more, this time peering over Leorio's shoulder.
"Can we get there faster by car?" Gon questioned Leorio. Leorio turned his head towards the window, looking at the cars around him.
"It's rush hour. They might be faster on foot. Kurapika!" Leorio shouted as soon as the car door opened. The three of us stared at the door that Kurapika opened and ran out of.
"Wait here until I contact you." Kurapika shouted. Gon quickly climbed over me as I bent my head down and quickly removed my contacts.
"Wait Kurapika…I have a good idea. Kurapika!" Gon shouted as I shook my head slightly from removing the contacts. It was difficult not being able to see what I was doing. I blinked a couple of times once I got them removed and followed out after Gon, just leaving the two contacts dumped onto the seat in the back.
"Wait here, Leorio!" I shouted at Leorio as I shuffled over the seats myself to follow the two boys.
"Wait both of you!" I shouted after them as I ran out into the rain, following behind the two boys. As long as Gon's good idea wasn't revealing our plan, it was all good.

Me and Gon had caught up to Kurapika and were following behind the Phantom Troupe, hot on their tail. It didn't seem like they noticed us. Three of them shot forward and the remanding four stopped and turned around quickly, skidding on the ground. They looked at us as we skidded to a halt ourselves. Suddenly, taking out my contacts seemed like a really bad idea. But I couldn't be scared, not right now; I just couldn't. Me and Gon quickly darted in one direction as Kurapika darted in the opposite. Me and Gon had hid behind a dumpster as Kurapika hid behind an alley. The three of us had our heads turned to listen out for the footsteps that would no doubt get closer. My heart pounded in my chest as I took deep breathes to control my fear. I kept a glare on my face to hide it, and it seemed to be working; I couldn't see red. I just had to keep doing this, breathing, remembering to breathe so I could control that fear that would give me away to their boss.

Me and Gon quickly looked over to Kurapika, who had his chains activated and getting ready to jump put at them. Me and Gon glared sternly at him, I shook my head at him, silently telling him not to do anything right now; there was no way we could take them on! No way we could and live. It didn't look like Kurapika was going to back down. Me and Gon quickly looked at each other and nodded our heads; we were going to distract them now. We both ran out from behind the dumpster at either side, and then quickly stood next to each other; glaring at the three spiders that stood in front of us. The four stopped in front of us, Chi smirking widely to herself. We held our hands up in front of us, turning our glares to blank and confused looks.
"Sorry! We'll stop following, so can you let us go?" Gon asked as I nodded my head quickly. They continued walking towards us.
"Them again?" Shizuku said as the four stopped in front of us. Shizuku was holding what looked like a vacuum cleaner with very large, sharp, pointy teeth and a tongue.
"This is the boy he mentioned, and the girl you mentioned?" The leader asked as he looked at us, his hands dug deep into his coat pockets. Chi nodded her head at their bosses words.
"The other one's here, too." The girl with pink hair spoke up, placing her hands on her hips, looking towards the alley way where Kurapika was hiding.
"Show yourself." She said firmly towards the alley way.

Killua exited the alley way, his hands in his coat pockets. He stopped just at the entrance of the alley way as me and Gon kept our hands up showing we were unarmed.
"What do you want? The mafia who put a reward on us are gone." The girl with pink hair said as me and Gon dropped out hands and continued with our confused looks. Killua dropped his hands from his coat pockets and looked at them shocked.
"Wh-what? Really? Why?" Killua questioned, playing idiot as he walked next to Gon and took a stand with us. Their boss continued looking at us, uninterested in his questions; or maybe he saw right through them. We returned the glare to our faces as we stared at the three again.
"What do we do, boss?" The girl with pink hair asked, keeping a hand on her hip and letting the other drop to her side.
"Tie them up." He said simply as he turned on his heel to walk away. The girl with pink hair walked towards us, holding something very slim and shiny in her hands.
"Phinks? It's me. I need you to come to the Beitacle Hotel." The leader said as the girl with pink hair tied our hands behind our backs with what felt like string.

We glared up at the leader, me trying my best to keep my fear under control. It was too important to let it over take now and although it felt like it would at any given moment, I had somehow kept it under control. Just had to keep breathing deeply. Chi thought to herself and walked over to me, quickly leaning down close to me and closed her eyes. She began sniffing the air around me and stood up straight once more.
"I got a scent, so I'll watch out for someone with a familiar smell to her. Chances are if they both have scarlet eyes, then she and the chain user are related." She said to the small group as she turned her head to look over her shoulder at their boss. He nodded his head at her, showing that he understood.
"Shouldn't we just kill them?" The girl with pink hair asked, making me stiffen slightly. She had taken a spot behind all three of us, holding her string in her hands.
"No, I trust your instincts. We can use the girl to get to the chain user if they are related. And if the boys are connected to the chain user somehow, we should keep them alive." The leader said simply to the girl with pink hair. Chi sighed slightly to herself as she leaned forward once more so that she was my eye level, looking at me confused with wide eyes.
"They're not scarlet this time. Why is it you were petrified the last time and this time keeping yourself controlled? Did you practice?" She asked me, making me hunch my shoulders slightly as I glared at her. She stood up straight and sighed to herself, placing a hand onto her hip. Chi muttered something I couldn't hear and walked back next to the Shizuku who had dismissed her vacuum cleaner.
"I wouldn't trust my instincts…" The girl with pink hair said to their boss trailing off her sentence.
"I have a question for you." Gon asked, making the four of them look down to him. Gon glared up at them as he spoke.
"How can you kill people who have nothing to do with you?" Gon asked as thunder clapped through the sky.

Thunder clapped through the sky a couple of more times as the leader looked down at Gon. His face darkened as the he looked at him; I couldn't see his facial expression.
"You look pretty hostile, considering that you just surrendered." The leader said to Gon. We kept quiet, me and Killua looking at Gon through the corner of our eyes before looking back at the leader. He looked up at the sky, his hands still in his pockets.
"Why, indeed? Because they have nothing to do with us? No. On second thought, it isn't that simple. How to verbally express our motives… I'm not fond of it." The leader said as he turned his back to us, continuing to look at the sky that was still pouring rain onto us. He dropped his head to look at the ground as he began talking once more, inhaling deeply.
"But oddly enough… Or perhaps it's not that odd. Is that the key to understanding myself?" He said to us. It sounded like he was questioning everything he was doing or why he was even doing it. I had no idea what he was talking about; but I did want to know one thing; why would killing my clan help him understand his reason to kill people who had nothing to do with him?
"Head to the hotel, and wait for Phinks and the others. If they try to escape, kill them." The leader said to his three colleagues.
"Understood." The girl with pink hair said simply to him.

They began walking us back to the hotel; how it would end up I wouldn't know. I couldn't help but clench my teeth together hard, keeping my mouth shut in a thin line, glaring up at the leader as we were being led away. Was this really it for us? If we did try to escape, would this be our final days? I hoped it wasn't and could only hope harder that somehow, we would find our way out.

Author note: I hate short chapters and I really hope they stop soon myself. Also, would people like me to write up the movie to this, or do you believe it wouldn't be worth it? Let me know either PM or reviews!
