A big thank you to Just a Cadbury, Hortenseyounka and all silent readers!
Just a Cadbury – Thank you dear! I am trying my best. Glad you finished your exams, I'm sure you did great! I wasn't very good at exams either when I was at school, so I wish you the best of luck with your results! Hmm? I never seen Naruto so I can't really say…What I can say is that he's very fun to draw.
Hortenseyounka – This response is a bit long, so please find it at the bottom of the chapter.

After Gon's little mutterings to himself about "Evil Fist" he had decided to show us what exactly he meant. Me, Killua and Biscuit followed him throughout the mountains to find a very big rock that stood high into the air. It looked sturdy; anyone punching it or running into it would break something. The three of us stood to the side as Gon stood next to it, concentrating his Nen into a very violent like shroud around him. Killua stood with his hands in his pockets as I stood with my hands behind my back, the two of us watching with wide eyes.
"First comes rock! Rock...Paper…Rock!" Gon shouted as he drew back his fist. His fist glowed a bright yellow aura as he swung it forward into the massive rock. I watched with interest as the rock exploded into a million pieces. Bits of rock flew through the air as Gon stood up straight, smiling widely at his work. I removed my hands from behind my back and clapped quickly for him as Killua stared in amazement.
Gon looked back at his keeping the wide smile on his face. Biscuit held a hand to her chin, her other hand supporting under her elbow as she smiled at Gon.
"I see." She said simply, but her voice full of amazement. Gon turned his head around again, looking ahead of him.
"Here comes another one." He said as he clenched his hand back into a tight fist. Gon drew back his arm as he began his taught.
"First comes rock! Rock…Paper… Paper!" Gon shouted holding his yellow glowing hand out in front of him. Nothing happened. I dropped my hands by my sides as we stared at him, wondering what exactly was supposed to happen. Gon looked at Biscuit, his face dropping as it held a nervous smiling.
"Bisky, how do I make my Nen fly?" Gon asked her making me and Killua look at him with annoyed expressions. We grumbled to ourselves about Gon's question, I thought he knew if he was preparing to show us another attack?
"Train more!" Biscuit yelled at Gon.
Killua sighed to himself and held out his hand in front of him with his fingers out stretched as Gon continued to hold his hand in front of him, his hand continuously glowing yellow.
"So paper is an Emitter technique?" Killua asked him. Gon nodded his head and looked at his hand, making his aura disappear from it as he stood up straight and looked over to me and Killua.
"Yeah, and scissors is a Transmuter technique. I wanna be able to cut through rock." Gon explained, swinging his arm to the side in a cutting sweep like motion as he turned his attention to Biscuit. Biscuit smiled widely at him as she took in his words.
"I understand. That's a reasonable fighting technique." Biscuit explained to him, then smiled darkly to herself. I looked at her questionably, raising an eyebrow slightly in question.
"You know how it takes time to focus my Nen in my fist? I was trying to think of a good way to spend that time." Gon said to her as he walked towards us once more.
"And when you were talking about rock-paper-scissors, it hit me. Because I like rock-paper-scissors." Gon explained to her. Biscuit nodded her head as closed her eyes, showing she understand what Gon meant.
"Trusting your instincts is important. Your gut plays a big role in techniques that require multiple Nen categories. The key is that it should feel right to you." Biscuit explained to him. I thought over her words, that made sense…did my gut play a part in my category? As far as I knew I only used one category with my technique…but maybe I was wrong and I used multiple? Nen was still far too complicated for me to get my head around fully.
Killua placed a hand over his mouth as he looked at Biscuit with one eye, closing the other one.
"Ah…ahem." He coughed making me, Gon and Biscuit look at him. Killua took a couple of steps back as he held a smile on his face. He pointed his fingers in front of him just enough so they weren't touching. The gap between his fingers began conducting electricity making me and Gon look at him with wide eyes. I hadn't seen Killua's Nen ability, and seeing it now…it was amazing!
"Well, this is all I can manage right now, but if I charge it up, it's pretty strong." Killua said, dismissing the electricity and holding his hands onto his hips. Me and Gon ran up to him in excitement, wide smiles on our faces.
"That's awesome, Killua! You're like an electric eel!" Gon said to him happily and cheerfully. Killua's face dropped as he looked at Gon with disappointment.
"That's a horrible comparison!" Killua complained. I smiled widely at him, looking at him in pure amazement.
"A lightening cloud then!" I said to him cheerfully. Killua looked at me with the same disappointed and dropped face.
"That's even worse!" He yelled at me. I laughed slightly at his answer as Gon was trying to come up with another comparison for Killua.
As we talked amongst ourselves, discussing how Killua could have come up with the technique, Biscuit's voice broke our conversation.
"Mishka, what can you do? You're a Conjurer, right?" Biscuit said, making the three of us face her. I nodded my head at her words. I began pushing up the sleeves to my training shirt as Gon and Killua moved away from me and towards Biscuit. I took a deep breath and held out my right arm. I concentrated my Nen, producing the barbed wire for show. Like always, it stopped curling around my arm at my elbow. A loose bit dangled down towards the ground after curling around my hand a couple of times.
"Kurapika said that my limitation was thought of self-consciously. He's a Conjurer too, so I trust what he says about it." I said to her as I brought my hand back and tugged at the loose end of the wire. I took a deep breath once more and exhaled slowly, making the barbed wire vanish. I smiled widely at the three, receiving a wide smile back from Gon and Killua. What I did notice was Biscuit looking at us in almost a pitying sort of way…why I didn't know, but it was best not to question it.
Biscuit held her hand up as her pitying smile turned into her usual wide one.
"Well, let's take a break, then." She said to us, making the three of us look at her questionably. It was odd for her to suggest we took a break this early during the day.
"It's a little early, but we can have a party." She said to us.
"A party?" Killua questioned her. Biscuit placed her hand onto her hip as she continued to stare at us, keeping the wide smile on her face. I walked over to the three, taking my usual spot next to Gon and Killua.
"What do you boys do back home to celebrate?" Biscuit asked us.
"Celebrate?" Gon asked her confused. Biscuit giggled slightly at our confused expressions and lowered her head slightly.
"In the outside world, it's almost New Year's. Time flows at the same speed inside the game as outside." Biscuit explained to us holding up a finger. She quickly lowered to back down to her hip, placing both hands onto her hips as she continued to smile widely.
Me and Gon looked at each other slightly in panic before looking back at Killua in a panic.
"Damn! The deadline to apply for the Hunter Exam is coming up!" Gon explained to Killua as I nodded my head quickly.
"If you don't apply soon, you'll have to wait another year!" I said to him. I was lucky when I applied; it was Kurapika who sent off our application cards as soon as I turned twelve. But with all this training, it must have slipped our minds pretty fast.
"And our training was just starting to get fun…" Killua said scratching the back of his end. Biscuit dropped her hands to her sides as she dropped the smile as well, looking at Killua with her neutral gaze.
"I believe you're required to apply before the end of the year." Biscuit explained. I wasn't too sure on that, all I knew was that as soon as I hit twelve Kurapika sent off our application cards; if what Biscuit said was true than did he do it before I was twelve? I placed my hands onto my head in frustration; it was so long ago I couldn't even remember.
"We need to hurry. How do we get outside?" Gon questioned Biscuit as he looked at us. I dropped my hands from my head and thought about it…maybe some kind of spell card?
"I'm guessing there are spell cards to leave the game?" Killua asked Biscuit. Biscuit smiled widely at the three of us.
"In that case, let's head to Masadora." Biscuit said to us. Me, Gon and Killua raised our hands into the air nodding our heads quickly.
"Agreed!" We said at the same time. Maybe that meant I could finally have a bath! No…no I wouldn't! Getting Killua to the outside world to apply for the Hunter Exam again was our top priority! Getting clean would have to wait!
We quickly made our way to Masadora, having made the trip here and back several times over the past weeks we had grown to know the route pretty quickly. The city of magic was still as brightly coloured as it was when we first got here before Biscuit told us that we were heading off back into the canyons.
The four of us wondered through the city, Killua with his hands laced behind his head and Gon with his arms beside him. I held my hands slightly behind my hand as Biscuit held hers by her sides as well. I stood next to Gon and Killua.
"Well, let's find a place to have a drink." Biscuit said to us with her eyes closed. I shook my head quickly, keeping my eyes forward as Gon turned his head to look at her with a slight glare.
"We can't…there's no time." Gon said to her, making Biscuit look at him with a glare.
"We can ask around the stores." Killua suggested as I nodded my head, pointing to a red building that looks like it had brown monkey ears.
"Let's try there first then." I suggested to him, turning my head slightly to look at him. Killua nodded his head as we began making our way to the red monkey building.
We entered the store and began making our way straight towards the shop counter where the tile man was. If anybody would know, it would hopefully be the tile person. I placed my hands onto the counter as I looked up to him, Gon and Killua standing next to me with Biscuit looking at some cards and books on the display shelves behind us.
"Excuse me, sir. Do you know how to get off the Island?" I asked him, looking at him questionably. The man just stared at me confused, almost wondering why I would ask him such a question…it made me a little bit nervous if anything. What if there was no way to get off the Island?!
"How to leave the Island? That'll be three thousand Jenny." The man said to us. That was better than hearing that we couldn't leave the Island at all. The three of us looked at each other and nodded our heads agreeing to pay the price. We gave the man three hundred Jenny. He took out a map and pointed at it.
"If you go about fifty kilometres west, you'll reach the Island's only port. You must defeat or bribe the chief of that port to receive a ticket that will transport you outside." The man explained to us. Defeat or bribe him? Well, that was certainly different.
"How big of a bribe are we talking?" Gon asked the man.
"Depends on how the chief's feeling. You're other option is to use a Leave spell card, but that's a rare one." The man explained to us. I furrowed my brows slightly as the three of us looked at each other once more.
"What do we do?" Gon questioned me and Killua.
"Let's head for the port. If it's a rare card we could buy a bunch without finding one." Killua said back to him as I nodded my head agreeing with him. Gon nodded his head, placing a hand onto his chin.
"That's true." Gon said simply as he stayed in thought.
"If the bribe's too high we might be able to defeat him." I said to the two. Gon nodded his head agreeing with me and with that we decided to begin making our way back to the port.
We had made our way to the port fairly quickly, but rather that was because we were determined to get Killua to the outside world again was something I was trying to decide. The four of us stood at the port looking at a building. It was white in colour, so it reflected the sun off of it. The port itself was white stone. The strong smell of the sea hit my nose, making me sneeze at the sudden change of smell and taste.
We had decided to let Killua go in by himself; he would be able to determine if the bribe was too high or not. The three of us watched as Killua walked into the port house. Everything was quiet until a loud clash of electricity was heard with a bright blue light. Me, Gon and Biscuit looked at each other in confusion before looking back at the port house. Killua only needed to defeat him, not kill him. Killua walked out rather proudly of himself shortly afterwards and held up a card with a picture of a big on the front of it.
"Voila. Well, I'll go pass the test real quick, and then hurry back." Killua said to us smiling widely. The three of us smiled widely back at him as I nodded my head. The card in Killua's hand made a popping noise and produced smoke, turning into something else.
"There are monsters called Kiriko that live beneath a cedar tree on the mountain behind Dolle Harbour. If you tell them you're mine and Mishka's friend, they'll take you to the exam area." Gon said to him smiling widely. I nodded my head quickly agreeing with him; the son said he would gladly show us to the exam site again, so if Killua said he was our friend than he should do so for him.
"Okay. See ya." Killua said waving the ticket before turning around and walking towards the boat to take him off the Island.
He boarded quickly. The boat hung about for about half an hour before sailing off towards the outside world. Me and Gon waved our hands into the air, smiling widely at him. I quickly thought of something and jogged over to the edge of the port, putting my hands on either side of my mouth.
"If you see Ponzu tell her good luck from me! She has a big yellow hat and blue hair! And if you see Tonpa kick him!" I yelled over to the boat as loudly as I good. I felt kind of bad that Ponzu didn't pass, after all she helped us out by making all the snakes fall asleep with her sleeping gas; she deserved to pass this year.
"Then let's get back to training." Biscuit said to us. I turned back around to face Biscuit, a determined smile on my face. Gon nodded his head and held his clenched hands in front of him with the same determined smile as my own.
"Osu!" We both said at the same time.
Biscuit made me and Gon run from the harbour and through some woods. We ran quickly, matching her speed with our own. We had to hold our finger up in the air and form numbers with our Nen like she could. Me and Gon of course complied and concentrated hard, gritting our teeth hard, it was much more difficult doing this while running.
"Okay, train while you run! When you can form the numbers zero to nine in one minute, you'll clear this stage." Biscuit said to us. We concentrated harder, both of us forming a zero slowly. That was until Gon was suddenly not beside me and Biscuit. The two of us looked over our shoulders to see Gon lying on his back on the floor, waving his legs in the air with his hands on his head. He was lying behind a tree.
"That hurt!" He yelled. I stopped running and turned around to run back to Gon.
"What are you doing?" Biscuit questioned as I got to Gon's side and crouched down, balancing on the balls of my feet. He held his eyes tightly shut in pain as he continued to squirm about on the floor.
I held out a hand to him, which he took after with a painful look on his face. Gon continued to hold his forehead with a single hand as I stood up, helping him up with me. I heard a sound coming from the sky and looked up to see a bright coloured light falling directly to us. The three of us watched in confusion as the light hit the ground creating up dust. The dust began clearing revealing the dark coloured man wearing the blue jacket and trousers. Something was different though; we looked worried and had something on his shoulder. He began standing up slowly, looking at us with his worried expression.
"Aren't you…" Biscuit began asked him, thinking back to when we had first met him.
"You're other friend isn't here?" He asked us, completely brushing off Biscuits question. Biscuit began walking towards him, holding a hand on her chin.
"What's that machine on your shoulder? Did something happen?" She asked him as she stopped walking, putting on a very good curious voice. I let go of Gon's hand as Gon dropped his other hand to his side. The two of us walked up next to Biscuit, looking up at the dark coloured man as he looked down at us.
"We were fooled by the Bomber. Will you listen to my story?" The man asked us. I took a closer look at the machine, it was beeping and it looked like it had numbers on it. What would happen once those numbers hit zero?
The four of us made our way out from the darker part of the forest and found a clearing. It was much brighter, so we'd be able to see if anything was trying to trick us. Me, Gon and Biscuit sat on a log just on the outskirts of the clearing as the man sat opposite us on a tree stump. The dark coloured man began explaining his story to us. It turned out that the really tall man wearing the long white coat robe was actually the Bomber. It was a worrying thought, he played it so well.
"So he was the Bomber…" Biscuit said trailing off. The man leaned forward onto his arms in defeat as he stared at the ground.
"The others are waiting at our base for the Bomber to disarm the bombs. They believe the terms he gave them, even though it was probably a bluff." The man said to us, bringing his head up. Me and Gon looked at Biscuit questionably.
"Can't anything be done?" Gon questioned her as she looked at the man with a worried expression. Biscuit continued to look at the man with her own worried expression, probably thinking the same thing that Gon had said. Biscuit turned her head towards us slightly, looking at us through the corner of her eyes.
"If they're prepared to accept casualties…" Biscuit said trailing off.
"Impossible. The first people to attack will be the ones who die. Who would volunteer for that role?" The man said to us, looking at the three of us sternly. Gon dropped his shoulders slightly as the three of us stared at him. I couldn't help but furrow my brows slightly, that was so negative…but true.
"True…" Gon said to him, trailing off.
"Jispa was our group's strongest fighter, and he was defeated in an instant. At that point, our loss was assured. And allowing him to leave the game was a fatal mistake. We indulged in a moment's victory cheer before we could verify each member's cards and assigned roles. That's when he caught us off guard." The man explained to us, looking back down to the ground once more in defeat. This was a difficult situation they were in, one I was glad me, Gon and Killua had decided to opt out of when we had the chance.
There was a pause as the man looked on the ground. After the pause, he looked back at us, his stern expression turning into one of worry once more.
"It embarrassing to admit, but I was so distracted, I didn't notice him using Leave unit it was already too late." The man explained to us. It was kind of understandable, after all the guy had revealed he was the Bomber, anyone would be distracted with that information; even the most focused fighter would be distracted by that information.
"You were probably focused on understanding his explanation." Biscuit said to him, understanding the situation herself.
"Yeah. We were thrust into that situation with no warning. Given our mental state, there was no action we could have taken." The man explained to us.
"But why are you telling us this?" Biscuit asked him. The man closed his eyes as he dropped his head a little bit.
"Because, of everyone I've met on this Island, you are the ones I believe I can most rely on." The man said to us. Gon and Biscuit remained unfazed; me on the other hand was slightly taken back. He's never spoken to us; so why would he rely on us?
"If you run into any other players, please tell them about the Bomber. Once everyone knows how his ability works, they should be able to protect themselves. And if possible, I would like you to avenge us! If not, could you at least promise you won't let him clear the game?" The man asked us. Gon looked at him with a determined look as I took a deep breath and looked at him with my own determined look. I was already avenging an entire clan, a few more people couldn't hurt…right? Me and Gon nodded our heads agreeing to his request as Biscuit closed her eyes.
"Understood." Biscuit said to him. The man leaned back as he closed his eyes.
"Sorry…" He said trailing off. He stood up from the tree stump, keeping his eyes closed.
"I'll use what time I have remaining to tell as many as I can about the Bomber. Book." The man said, holding out his arm. His book appeared in front of him as he opened his eyes and stared into the book. He took out a card and held it into the air.
"Return on. Bunzen." He said, disappearing into a bright yellow light.
Once the light flew into the sky leaving the three of us behind once more, me and Gon stood up; Gon clenching his fists in anger as I stared at the tree the man was at. He was caught in a horrible situation; one I wouldn't wish upon anybody. The sad thing was, if me, Gon and Killua had decided to stay, we would be in the exact same position as them; and that was something I didn't want to think about.
The three of us began walking away from where we sat, me and Gon walked behind Biscuit, thinking over what he heard. Something didn't feel right; something was just telling me that something didn't feel right. I looked at Gon, furrowing my brows slightly, keeping the serious look on my face. He looked at me through the corner of his eyes before turning his head around slightly to look at me probably.
"The time would have ran out by now... but what if one of them survived? We could help them! They shouldn't be left to die in pain like that." I muttered to him as he continued walking. Gon thought over my word, placing a hand onto his chin and nodded his head. He looked at the back of Biscuits head before looking back at me.
"Maybe we should go to their base?" Gon asked as I nodded my head. Gon nodded back, the two of us silently agreeing. We stopped walking and looked at Biscuit who continued walking forward and away from us.
"Bisky… We think we should drop by their base real fast." Gon said to her as I nodded my head. Biscuit looked at us from over the top of her shoulder.
"They're already out of time." She said to us with a sigh as she turned around to look at us fully.
"Besides, he didn't even tell us exactly where it is. And even if we did know, we don't have a spell card that could take us there." Biscuit said to us, placing a hand on her hip as she looked at us sternly. I furrowed my brows slightly as Gon looked to the ground, clenching his fists.
"I know. But some of them might have survived the explosion…" Gon said trailing off.
"Doubt it." Biscuit said bluntly, making me and Gon look at her with furrowed brows.
"If the Bomber's strong enough to place bombs on all his targets without anyone noticing, he wouldn't have made that kind of mistake." She said to us, shaking her head and keeping the blunt tone.
Me and Gon looked at each other with furrowed brows before dropping our heads. She was blunt; and as much as I didn't want to admit it, she was probably right.
"However, if we continue to play this game, we'll probably run into the Bomber. Given that, we may need to visit their base soon." Biscuit explained to us, making me and Gon look at her and nod our heads agreeing with her. Biscuit thought to herself as she placed a hand onto her chin, averting her eyes away from us once more before turning around fully, a wide smile on her face.
"We need spell cards. Let's go to Masadora and sell our Monster cards to buy spell cards." Biscuit said to us, making me and Gon look at each other and smile widely. Hopefully this time we could stay in Masadora a bit longer. We jogged behind to keep up with her, nodding our heads.
"Yeah!" We said at the same time, catching up and walking beside her.
The sun was setting as we began running through the forest to get to Masadora quicker. With any luck, if we were quick enough; we could find someone hopefully alive and help them. That was my idea anyway; although Biscuit saying that it was most likely none of them survived…it really put me off.
"Hey, Bisky… How long do you think it'll take me to master my special technique?" Gon questioned Biscuit as he looked forward. Biscuit turned her head slightly to look at Gon as I looked at her through the corner of my eyes.
"You're just starting to develop your Nen. It's hard to predict when your power and speed will peak." She said to him. Gon looked at her through the corner of her eyes as Biscuit looked forward once more, a wide smile covering her face.
"But it shouldn't take too long before you get the form down." She said to him running a little bit faster. Gon smiled widely at the back of her head.
"Really? How long?" Gon asked her enthusiastically.
"Let's see… Hopefully, you'll have it ready by the time Killua returns." Biscuit said to him, making Gon smile even wider and look forward with determination.
"All right! I'll finish my technique and surprise him!" Gon said with determination. I smiled widely at him as we continued to run, the sun being our only thing letting us know what the time was roughly.
As we continued running I thought to myself; I had to train hard. I could keep up with Gon if I pushed myself hard; Killua on the other hand was another story. He was very quick when it came to learning and if I wanted to keep up with him than I would have to do what I did when we were learning Nen in the first place; practise day and night.
"Oh that reminds me." Biscuit said making me and Gon look at her questionably. She continued to run slightly in front of making us stare into the back of her head.
"Mishka, I want you to train as if you were a specialist. Conjurer's have the most chance of becoming a specialist so to unlock your full potential you'll need to train as if you were one. This will allow you to fully develop your skills." Biscuit said to me. I thought over her words and nodded my head quickly, smiling widely. I could do that; if it would help me unlock my full potential than I could do that no problem. If it meant I could do things like Kurapika could with his chains; than it would be worth the sleepless nights.
We made it back to Masadora. It was pitch black. We looked around for any shop that was open and that would take monster cards. We found a light blue shop with dozens of balloons hanging around it, floating in the night sky. Entering the shop we walked over to the counter. The woman behind the counter, who wore a light blue dress with a light blue mushroom looking hat, looked at us questionably.
"Do you sell spell cards?" I asked her, placing my hands on top of the counter as we stared up at her. The woman clasped her hands together as she stared at us with a wide smile.
"You three are lucky! We just received a huge shipment of spell cards!" The woman said to us. Biscuit smiled widely to herself as Gon looked like he had gone deep into thought. I looked at him through the corner of my eye, furrowing my brows slightly. I touched his arm slightly with my hand making him look at me. I gave him a very small smile.
"Don't worry about it. Whatever is worrying you, try not to think about it. We'll stop the Bomber if we confront him." I muttered to him, wondering if that was the cause of his worry. Gon smiled slightly at my words and nodded his head. I didn't know if that was the cause of his worried expression; but receiving a small smile was better than nothing.
The three of us brought twenty spell card packs each, giving us a very wide variety. We walked outside and summoned our books; quickly putting the spell cards into them. Biscuit held a hand on her hip as she flicked through the book.
"We brought sixty between us, so there are lots of different types." Gon said as I nodded my head, turning a page with my finger.
"Look." Biscuit said, turning her head towards me and Gon. Me and Gon walked over and stared at the card she was pointing it. We looked at it wide eyed. It was an S ranked card called Prison.
"An S-rank card… There are only ten in the whole game!" Gon said in amazement. That was a lucky pack that Biscuit brought.
"What do you think? Should we save it? Or use it now?" Biscuit said to us, leaning in closer and closer to me and Gon as she spoke. Gon grabbed his head and began ruffling his hair hard as I furrowed my brows, leaning into Gon's shoulder.
"I don't know what to do!" Gon shouted making Biscuit slam her hand over Gon's mouth. Gon raised his hands into the air as Biscuit looked around.
"Shh…You're took loud…People will get suspicious!" Biscuit muttered to him. Gon furrowed his brows and looked up thinking. I quickly grabbed Biscuit's arm and began pulling it away from Gon's mouth, furrowing my brows.
"You'll make it look even more suspicious covering his mouth and telling him to be quiet!" I said to her. Biscuit grabbed my arm with her free hand and suddenly twisted it behind my back, making me clench my teeth together tightly, pulling a wide face and release her free arm.
"Neither of you are doing yourselves any favours." She muttered to us. I nodded my head quickly as Gon did the same, making Biscuit release the both of us quickly. I rubbed my arm frowning widely as Gon watched me slightly through the corner of his eyes; if Killua were here than she wouldn't pick on us.
The next day came quickly for us, much to our joy. Spending the night with Biscuit by ourselves was…interesting. She usually picked on Killua, but because it was only us two she picked on us instead. Well; when Killua became a Hunter and came back than she wouldn't pick on us at all! That was what I hoped anyway.
We stood in a grassy field close to the forest where the dark coloured man had landed in front of us. Biscuit was making us train our Nen. Me and Gon stood next to each other, determination on our faces as we shrouded ourselves with our aura's. Gon punched the air in front of him, making his fist glow yellow as I swung my arm forward making the barbed wire grow longer. I was trying to get it to move by itself, maybe like a snake stalking through the grass. That was the idea anyway. I had something in mind; If I could make my barbed wire long enough than I could maybe us it to sense other people nearby, or use it to identify people when they stepped on by their Nen. That was what I wanted to do. So I had to work hard.
"You're both making steady progress." Biscuit said to me and Gon as she sat on a tree stump. Gon brought his arm back as I pulled my arm back, retracting the barbed wire back to its original length. Me and Gon looked at Biscuit from the corner of our eyes.
"You're both on track to have your special techniques ready." Biscuit said to us. I smiled widely at her as Gon turned his head to look around in the area we were in.
"This is a safe place to practise. Since we'll be able to spot anyone before they're in attack spell range. I can sense people watching from Masadora, just like I sensed people watching us at the start point." Gon said as he looked in the direction of Masadora. I nodded my head agreeing with him, since our training from the very beginning of learning Nen; it had become easy to sense people about and like Gon I could feel people watching us from Masadora. Gon turned to face Biscuit again, smiling widely.
"But we have plenty of defence spells now." Gon said to her smiling widely. Biscuit sighed and crossed her arms over her chest as she looked at me and Gon with a neutral expression.
"Well, just to be safe, I used a Blackout Curtain card. But no point in worrying about spell cards. Just focus hard on training." Biscuit said to us. Me and Gon crossed our arms over before throwing them towards the ground.
"Osu!" We said to her at the same time.
Me and Gon sat on the rock next to each other, our shoulders touching lightly as we each held up a finger. Gon had to make his Nen fly while I had to make numbers. We concentrated hard, each on our own little tasks. I looked at Gon when I saw something fly up through the corner of my eye and smiled widely. He had managed to make a small Nen ball fly up from his finger. I looked at my finger and concentrated hard, making my zero turn into a one.
"Okay, one minute's up. Next." Biscuit said to us. Gon flicked his finger forward sending the Nen ball away from him as I concentrated on turning the one into a two. I watched Gon through the tops of my eye lids, the ball got pretty far away until it vanished into thin air.
"It didn't work. I can't reach it…" Gon said disappointedly.
"That was just fine. You're in far better shape than a Transmuter would be! Be patient and start by focusing on maintaining your aura in a sphere for extended periods of time." Biscuit said to Gon. Gon nodded his head and lifted his finger again, staring at his hand with determination.
"The longer you can maintain the sphere, the stronger your Ten. Once you've trained long enough, you'll be able to maintain an aura sphere for two to three days!" Biscuit said to him excitedly as I continued to concentrate on turning my Nen into different numbers. I glanced quickly at Gon, who was making another Nen sphere. Biscuit turned her attention back to the rock that was some ways away from us.
"You should be able to reach that stone before the day's out." Biscuit said to him.
Gon threw his finger forward sending the Nen sphere after the rock ahead of us. The three of us watched with interested as the Nen sphere continued to fly forward before eventually hitting the rock, making it shake on the spot. I dropped my concentration making the number four disappear as we stared at the rock in disbelief.
"Your right! I reached it!" Gon said cheerfully.
"That was fast." Biscuit said as we continued to stare at the rock. I looked at Gon smiling widely; he was able to do it; now if only I could get my special technique to work and I'd be all set to show Killua what I could do.
"Then, we'll go back to practising the basics." Biscuit said to us, placing her hands into her hips. Me and Gon stood up from the rock and crossed our arms over our chests once more then threw them towards the ground.
"Osu!" We shouted at the same time.
I was determined, I was determined to keep up with Gon and Killua better this time and when Killua came back to me and Gon; I could show him what I could really do with my own ability.
Hortenseyounka - Thank you it's greatly appreciated! Glad to hear you're finished with your exams. You did German? I'm part German myself, although not very good at reading it. I'm glad you like the drawing! On a facebook page I'm on one of the other creator's ships Kai and Chimera, so I been doing a lot of drawings with them together.
I've been thinking over about making Mishka a specialist too…I will need to do a lot of research on the subject though to see what exactly makes them so special and different (like in Kurapika's case his Scarlet eyes so as you've said that could be something to go on.) If I do make her a specialist, then I'll need to really think of something great that she can only do as a specialist.
You're welcome! I try my best to answer all reviews, if I've missed one though then I am very sorry.
