I have never had so much trouble opening my eyes than I did at that very moment. I didn't know weather it was because they were swollen shut or because the dried blood had caked over them. It took me for what felt hours to move and I was only able to lift a finger. I don't know how long I had been laying here, but I knew I needed to get up and get out of here before the monster woke up from his slumber and finished what he started.

I was sure that a couple of my ribs were broken, possibly my wrist and jaw but I had to move. One painful inch at a time I stood up, bracing myself against the kitchen table so I wouldn't fall. Turning my head I saw him sprawled over the couch, snoring peacefully. How he could sleep without a worry in the world after what he did was something beyond comprehension to the normal, non-evil soul.

Thoughts flooded my mind suddenly as I stared at his sleeping form. Thoughts that were sending me into a worse state of mind than I already was. It would be easy for me to find a bottle of something from the medicine cabinet and stuff them down his throat, he probably wouldn't even wake up judging by all the empty beer bottles surrounding him. Or there was the set of knives on the other side of the kitchen. The gun he kept under his mattress upstairs. I could even pour bleach down his throat.

I shook my head, throwing the thoughts from my mind. As much as I wanted to, and I really did, more than anything, I knew killing him would make me become him. And that is the worst possible thing I could think of.

Slowly making my way to the bathroom I took a wash cloth from the shelf and ran it under the tap. Tenderly, I washed the blood off my face and body, revealing the already forming bruises. Once I had made sure all the blood was gone I threw the cloth on the ground and walked out of the bathroom, moving down towards Brain's old room. I found one of his old sweatshirts and slipped it on, the hood covered most of my face so I knew no one would notice and comment.

I needed to find Mrs Hanson, she hadn't come to get me yet and worry started to encase me. I picked up my duffel bag that was still at the bottom of the stairs and glanced at him one last time before closing the front door behind me.

I kept my head low as I walked down the street, only glancing up when I crossed a road. The flower shop wasn't far from the house and I made quick time getting there, even though every step I took felt like torture. As I got closer the pit in my stomach grew almost to a state of unbearable. People crowded around the store front, whispering to each other. I pushed through the crowed and gasped when I saw the police officers walking behind the yellow crime scene tape.

"Tragic isn't that?" A woman asked causing me to look up slightly, careful that my face was covered enough so she didn't see anything. "Poor Mrs Hanson. I heard she was beaten to death with one of her flower pots."

"She's dead?" I whispered, my eyes filling with tears. The woman kept talking but I zoned out, looking at the blood splattered on the front window. I felt my body go numb and my heart grow heavy. My legs wobbled and my eyes drifted over to Mr. Hanson who was breaking down in one of the officers arms. His sobs could be heard a mile away.

I slowly backed away, brushing on-lookers as I did. Tears fell and I felt like I couldn't breath, like the world was closing in around me.

She was dead.

Because of me.

I leaned against Dom as we watched everyone pack up their cars, getting ready for the heist. It had been chaotic since everyone woke up. Everyone was on a high, excited for the next couple hours. Dom wrapped his arms around my waist and I heard him let out a long sigh. "Hobbs is on the other side of the city." Mia stated, looking at the computer. "We're not going to get a better window." I nodded and pulled away from Dom, grabbing a set of blueprints and handing them to Dom.

"Okay guys, it's show time." Dom called. "First team in position, lets go." He rolled up the blueprints as everyone climbed into their cars. I watched them take off while I grabbed my jacket. I looked around and saw the only ones left were Brian, Han, Vince, Mia, Dom and I.

"Dom." Vince called, looking up at us. "I got eyes on Mia." He said. Dom nodded his head and took my hand, leading me towards the car before stopping and pulling me into his chest. I smirked and raised my eyebrow, leaning up to place a kiss on his lips.

"We are one hour away from the rest of out lives." I stated, leaning up for another kiss. "I'll be right back, I'm going to say goodbye to Mia and our God child." Dom laughed watched me walk back towards Mia and Brian. A loud rumble sounded throughout the almost completely empty warehouse and I spun around. I heard Vince scream cops as military style trucks slammed through the gates.

I went for the gun I knew was in the box by the stairs but felt someone grab me by my waist and pull me back. I screamed and fought, kicking and punching but the man on top of me was just too strong. I moved my head to the side and saw Brian holding his hands up, glaring at the cop pointing a gun at him and Mia who was standing behind him, clutching his shirt.

I heard Dom yell out and I struggle harder, I felt myself being hauled up and pushed forward. I screamed when I saw Dom and Hobbs fighting, tears welling in my eyes. Dom and Hobbs crashed through the window and onto the ground in front of me. They were both throwing punches and wrestling, sweating profusely. "Dom!" I screamed, pulling against the cops hold again. "Dom, stop! Please, baby stop!" Dom got the upper hand and grabbed a socket wrench, raising it above his head, ready to smash Hobbs' skull in, he hesitated and glanced up at me first. I had tears running down my face and I was still struggling against the cops hold. "Baby, don't." I pleaded. Dom nodded and smashed the wench down just beside Hobbs' head before slowly standing up, leaving a stunned Hobbs. He put his hands up, over his head, his eyes never leaving mine. We were all cuffed and thrown into an armored truck with Hobbs and Elena.

The truck drove through the streets of the Favelas, swerving to miss the large pot-holes in the middle of the road. I was sitting next to Dom and across from Brian, just staring out into space. I knew once we made it to where ever the hell they were taking us we wouldn't be seeing the sunlight for a while. Vince would never see Nico and Rosa again, I would never see Dom. Mia and Brian would be separated, and what the hell will happen to their child? I glanced at Elena who almost looked sympathetic for what we were going through.

Hobbs phone started ringing and he glared at us before answering. "Yeah...We're coming in now...Have the Marshals meet us at the airport when we land." He hung up the phone and looked out his window. "Ambush!" He yelled suddenly, before ducking down. I felt Dom's body over top of mine and heard an explosion in front of us. The truck swerved and I swear I thought we were going to tip over but thankfully, we didn't. My ears were ringing and I couldn't hear anything that was being said. I watched Hobbs and the driver of the truck climb out, guns in hand.

I finally regained my senses and looked up at Elena. "Cut us loose." I demanded. "Cut us loose now, Elena." She hesitated but nodded her head, reaching for the keys before unlocking out cuffs. She passed out guns that were stored under the front seats and Dom glanced at me, giving me a reassuring look before opening that back door and jumping out. Vince and Brian followed him and I pointed at Mia. "Stay here." I stated, following them. Gun fire started being exchanged between us and who I assumed was Reyes' men. I noticed Hobbs laying on the ground, clenching his jaw in pain. Once it was safe enough, Dom hurried over to him and extended his hand, helping him stand up.

I continued shooting, covering Dom as he helped Hobbs back to the truck. Once we were all back in the truck Elena took off, not looking back. I dropped my gun on the floor and ran my hand through my hair, letting out a long breath.

"Hey, Dom." Vince called, making Dom and I both look towards him. I immediately knew something was wrong, he was pale and slurring his words, none of which were good signs. Despite the winding roads I crawled over to him. When I reached him I noticed his hand holding his stomach, blood coating shirt. I gasped and placed my hand over his, trying to stop the bleeding. "You got to meet my son. Nico."

Dom took a moment to collect himself before speaking. "I will." He nodded, surly.

"You know, we named him after you." Vince stated, looking at Dom. "Dominic." I felt tears prick my eyes and I shook my head, trying to make them go away but there was no stopping it. They flowed, and they flowed relentlessly. "I need you to tell your future kids about me Katie." He said, shifting his eyes to me. "Tell them that they got an uncle that loves them and that I will always watch over them."

I let out a strangled sob and nodded my head. "They're going to love their uncle Vince." I promised, still holding my hands over his. A ghost of a smile spread across his lips before his body went limp. I opened my mouth but all that left was a choked cry. I felt Dom wrap his arms around me and pulled me away from Vince's body. Everyone was silent, no one knowing what to say.
