Lorne hated the idea of returning to Pylea. Maybe things were changing there, but that place never felt like home, too many bad memories. Lorne wasn't particularly anxious to help the Lister clan either. But when faced with this choice he found he couldn't turn his back on these refugees. In Pylea the Covenant of Trombli ruled for centuries, segregating certain species. Some species became the ruling class. Others, including humans, were relegated to poverty or outright slavery. The humans were rebelling, some of the influx of refugees from the Scourge joined this rebellion when the Covenant tried to enslave them. Pylea's technology was mostly spear and crossbow, but there had some advances. Television was a recent development, it had the potential to help keep the masses ignorant and complacement. Lorne didn't want to go home, not to this struggle. But to save the Lister clan, he had little choice.
