Chapter 380
Giles and Ethan went into the maze together. They remained silent about Jeny still hiding within the crowd. Giles hoped that if they didn't make it, that she would be able to escape. This was not a great idea for a honeymoon. Ethan figured Jenny would be the only one in the crowd betting on them to survive. Ethan was helpful, he still remembered where some of the traps were. But this only got them so far, they reached the point in the maze that he hadn't been before. At this point they proceeded more carefully. But Giles and Ethan reached the center of the maze, with it's many treasures. Ethan's eyes widened, with that lust for gild that he'd been born with. But before he could pocket anything Giles knocked him unconsciouss. He feared that the thieves would kill them for the treasure. Giles grabbed the piece of the chalice, put a few gild coins into Ethan's pocket, and dragged him through the exit quickly. Giles dragged Ethan past the crowd and they met up with Jenny later. When Ethan regained conscioussness he was angry at Giles for depriving him of the treasure. Then he realized he wouldn't have lived to spend it, this way he walked away with something.
