Chapter 381
Although Kate Lockley had been invited to the meeting she didn't go. Things still seemed awkward between her and Giles' group. Giles still reached out to her afterwards, explained about the Chalice of Life. Clearly they needed help from everyone, even if things were awkward. Kate agreed to help, even if it was dangerous. This piece of the Chalice was located at the bottom of the ocean, specifically in the kingdom of Poseidon. This "Poseidon" ruled over his little area filled with mermaids and sea monsters. The ancient Greeks worshipped Poseidon as a god. The Watcher's Council loaned a submarine and a few crew to take Kate Lockley and the two others down, and hopefully retrieve their piece of the Chalice. The other two were Lindsay and Eve. They had allegedly left Wolfram and Hart, although Kate still didn't trust them. Lindsay and Eve didn't seem suicidal, so they would likely help, hopefully. Kate had been getting closer with vice-principal Robert Snyder lately, he wasn't thrilled about her going into danger like this. She had never been on a submarine before, she felt uneasy under the ocean. Was this normal? Or was Poseidon angry about them entering his turf?
