Sorry, I know it has been entirely too long since I updated any of my stories. Hope you enjoy this new chapter...

Brady POV

"Your girl has completely lost it."

Jared glanced over his shoulder at me as I hung up the phone. Paul laughed from his spot on the sofa as Jared narrowed his eyes at me. Oops.

"Don't talk about Kim." He always went all caveman whenever someone insulted Kim. I should have known better.

"She's phoning me completely out of the blue asking my favourite colour. She's lost it man."

Jared frowned but he didn't automatically lunge towards me; which was a surprise.

"She's stressing out about the wedding," he sighed pausing the video game he was playing, "She just wants everything to be perfect."

"What does my favourite colour have to do with anything?"

Paul and Jared exchanged confused looks and then shrugged.

"Who knows man. A woman's mind is a scary place."

"It really is," Paul nodded, "The other day Rachel started crying, and I mean hysterically crying, because she burnt the pizza she was cooking. Of course, I just laughed, which just made her cry more."

"That's nothing," Jared snorted, "Kim launched a shoe at my head the other day because I was early to pick her up for our date. Early, not late. All because she wasn't ready."

"I am so happy to be single," Colin mumbled from his spot on the floor where he was just waking up. I flinched.

"I wish Jade would throw a shoe at my head," I grumbled grabbing one of Emily's muffins from the coffee table.

"No, you don't," Colin yawned, "You want her to answer your phone calls, or at least look you in the eye when you see her. But you do not want a shoe chucked at your head."

"She's not answering your calls?" Paul looked sympathetic. It was bad when he looked sympathetic.

"He'd have to actually call her to find out."

"Shut up Colin!" I chucked my half-eaten muffin at his head. He just grinned and took a bite. Animal.

"I can't just call her," I closed my eyes lying back on the couch, "She's engaged." Also, Colin was right, I was terrified she would ignore my calls.

"She also turned up out of the blue at your house and had pizza and fell asleep on your couch." I was going to kill him.

"Colin! I said shut up!"

"She fell asleep on your couch? Dude, you didn't tell me that. She seemed super cute to me, a bit quiet but super cute," Embry walked into the room pushing me over, so he could sit down.

"Don't call her cute," I growled, my eyes flashing open. Jade was mine.

"She is!" Embry held his arms up in defence as I lunged towards him, "But I mean totally not my type. She also didn't seem like the type to fall asleep at a stranger's house. She hardly said a word before we all left."

"She's just…quiet." Too quiet, I wished she would open up to me, "And she was tired. That's why she fell asleep."

"Or you were boring her," Paul chipped in. Ass.

I didn't have any fight in me to argue. He was probably right anyway.

My mind flashed back to the previous week when Jade had woken up – her cheeks had a pink tinge to them, I had thrown my duvet over her to keep her warm. Her brown hair had been even more knotted than usual, and she hadn't even noticed me at first. My heart tightened as I remembered the panicked look on her face when she'd realised where she was, and how quickly she'd fled the apartment despite how many times I insisted she could stay until the morning.

I had followed her in wolf form the whole way home.

"She'll give in to the imprint eventually," Embry clapped me on the shoulder interrupting my thoughts, "They always do."

"All the girls are away for the day and we're still talking about them!" Colin stood up and grabbed some controllers from the shelf, "Let's do something manly and race cars or something okay?"

"Plan." We all laughed as Colin handed out controllers. But as always Jade was in the back of my mind, I wondered how she was spending her day.

"You cheat!" Paul grabbed Colin by the arm pushing him against the wall. I winced. If they dented Emily's wall, Sam would kill them.

"I didn't cheat," Colin was laughing, "You just can't accept that I have more skill than you."

"Skill? You're just a pup, you have no skill."

"Well I just kicked your ass, so that would suggest otherwise."

"You little- "

"Honestly!" Kim walked through the front door carrying what looked like a million bags, "We leave you boys for a few hours and you're knocking lumps out of each other."

"We should have gone to a bar like I suggested," Rachel sighed narrowing her eyes in Paul's direction, he immediately loosened his hold on Colin.

"He cheated babe." Rachel ignored him as he reached out for a hug.

"No, you're just a sore loser," she smirked as she rubbed Colin's arm, "We brought some pizzas back. Would you like some?"

"Not you Paul," she smiled sweetly as everyone followed her to the kitchen where Emily was opening the pizza boxes.

"But babe- "

"No"

"But- "

"Apologise to Colin and then maybe I'll think about it."

I hid a smirk behind a slice of pizza as Paul apologised. He was so whipped.

"How was your day babe?" Jared curled an arm around Kim's waist pulling her down to sit on his lap. I looked away as Kim leant forward and pressed a light kiss to his lips. They were too damn perfect together.

"It was…." Kim glanced at the other girls briefly.

"Successful?" Emily supplied as she glanced out the window, Sam was due back from patrol any minute.

"Interesting?" Rachel garbled through a mouthful of pizza that she had swiped from Paul. She was the only one who got away with stealing his food.

"Interesting?" Colin smirked from his spot leaning against the wall, "What the hell is so interesting about shopping for bridesmaid dresses?"

All the girls were suddenly much more interested in grabbing another slice of pizza. Kim hid her face in Jared's neck, playing with a loose thread on her skirt.

"Well," Kim's voice was muffled, "We ran into Jade."

I choked on my pizza, crumbs spraying everywhere. I was suddenly tense.

"My Jade?"

"Uhm.." Kim peeked at me as she tightened her hold on Jared, "Yes?"

"Where?" The word came out as a growl.

"In the clothing shop in Forks," Rachel supplied happily grabbing another slice of pizza.

"You mean the clothing store I told you she worked in?" My hands curled into fists. Jade was never going to talk to me again. They would have scared her off, I was sure of it.

"Yes?" Kim squeaked.

"You promised you'd leave her alone," My eyes flickered between the girls, "I told you how shy she is! And she's off limits, I don't want to give her fiancée more reasons to keep Jade at his side."

"I just want to say I had no clue that's where she worked," Emily smiled from her spot sitting on the counter, "but she is such a lovely girl Brady."

"So nice," Kim agreed, finally looking at her, "We totally approve. Even Rachel liked her."

All the boys turned to look at Rachel who just shrugged and pretended to pick at one of her nails. My lips tilted upwards slightly. Rachel didn't like anyone.

"And she wasn't that shy," Kim smiled placing a hand on my arm, "Maybe in the beginning, but she came out of her shell at dinner and- "

"I thought you said you met at the clothing store?"

"We did. But then we invited her out for food."

"And she came? Willingly?"

"Yes dumbass," Rachel kicked me under the table, "We can be quite nice when we want to be."

"And boy she can eat," Kim interjected, "She's so tiny but she ate a whole pizza to herself and then had a sundae."

"She'll fit right in here Brady," Emily patted me on the shoulder as she walked by, going outside to meet Sam who was walking down the garden towards the house.

"If I ever get to speak to her again," I mumbled. I was secretly relieved that the girls had liked her. The imprints were such a unique unit, and their acceptance meant more than I could put into words. But none of that mattered if I could never be alone with her, if I could never have a proper conversation with her.

"You will," Rachel laughed pulling Paul up and dragging him towards the living room.

"What does she mean?"

"We invited her to the bonfire tomorrow night," Kim grinned, "And she said she'd love to come."

Standing up I pulled Kim into my arms, squeezing her tight ignoring Jared's low growls.

"You are the best!"

"I know," she laughed lightly squeezing my arm, "Can I have that in writing?"

Thoughts?
