Faith was patrolling one night, wanted to find vampires to kill. She liked this power, knowing she was going to win, and they would die. But without this Faith was lost in her thoughts. Faith knew her dad had tried to erase her memories to take her out of the fight. He'd denied it, but she knew him well enough to know when he ws lying. Anne was righ, he was manipulative, did things the way he wanted even when others got hurt. But Anne was gone, murdered by vampires. Faith wanted to kill them all. And yet a vampire had saved her, had died protecting her. Then Faith saw him, Dracula himself. Dracula tried reasoning with Faith, they had been allies not long ago. He claimed that Kakistos and the others acted without his knowledge. But in anger Faith rushed him. Before she could drive the stake into his heart Dracula turned into mist and fled. Then Faith saw it on the ground. It was a piece of the Chalice of Life. That was why he came, to give her this. Faith was a vampire slayer, who had to accept this "gift" from a legendary vampire. This whole thing was becoming too damned confusing.
