Chapter 415
The Groosalag went to the capitol in plain sight. Humans and demons alike weren't sure what to make of this. Many were either afraid of him, or hoped he could save Pylea. He challenged Landok to mortal combat. Landok came out and accepted this challenge. Everyone in the market stopped what they were doing and watched. Some cheered Landok on. Others stayed silent. They hoped Groo would win, but were too close to the Covenant to outright cheer. During the fight Groo could hear the sounds of battle nearby. His attention was somewhat distracted. Partly because of this, Landok was winning the fight. Groo feared he could not defeat Landok either way. Landok prepared to deliver the death blow, but was stopped by Barshon. Barshon delivered the news that Silas was dead. Because Barshon was now the leader of the Covenant, at least for now, he ordered that the Groosalag face justice for his part in this. The Groosalag and the rebels who'd survived would be tried, and executed.
